This was a good review. Just ordered this bot and feel better about it after watching. Really like the shots of it working in the pool as it seemed very real world and not fake. Hope you keep making reviews like this.
Thank you. I appricate it. It's 100% real world and I love every time I put into the pool. It does an amazing job. Stay tuned and subscribe, I'm testing the Surfer S1 skimmer.
Hi ,Congrats, great review ,only one I have seen that shows how it climbs steps.I have a small pool with two different depths with a 2inch step in between.Would it climb up the step and continue on the other section?
You're very welcome. I hope you used my link. What code did you use to get down to $460? The one I found only takes off 15%. I would love to let other people know so they can save too.
Really good but no good with dust especially here in Spain where we get red Sahara dust it just blew it straight through the basket filter back into the pool . Had to hoover by hand the next day
Also in Spain. What have you found that's more likely to deal with the red dust? I had a Wybot M1 Ultra from a kickstarter campaign last year... great whilst it worked and then 3 months later it was literally dead in the water.
Not that I'm aware of. It doesn't connect to WiFi, and I don't see any ports for a way for it to get updates. I know they are coming out with more advanced units that will have a buoy, which will allow communication and thus a way to update firmware, but I don't know of any way in this model.
@@ModernDayReviews You can actually upgrade it. If you have it on charger and hold the power button 20 seconds the aiper wife networks comes available and you can connect to it. On the up if you search for the model and how to upgrade it will give you the step by step. Does not connect to the app to use the app itself but it does let you to upgrade firmware.
I have a 10’x10’ by 10 inch deep sun deck at the top of the steps. Liner steps, not hard plastic. Would it work on that? Also have a couple of fiberglass recliners setting in the sun deck, wonder if it would hinder its path? Thanks
@@ModernDayReviews Thank you so much, I should have waited til the end of the video to post my question because I did see how much the filter retained which was pretty amazing. Thanks for the video!🤩
We keep having trouble of it parking and dying at the bottom of the deep end somewhere. My husband had to scuba in to search for it twice now. Our water was slightly cloudy so we weren’t able to just fish it out as shown. I thought it would park itself against the top of the wall/waterline or where you dropped it in.
It doesn't stop till the battery runs out. You can try to grab with your pole & hook while it's still working but otherwise just wait till it dies and it will stop near wall.
@@ModernDayReviews Are you suggesting that fishing out something this heavy from the bottom of your pool daily is easy? A scoop of leaves at 10ft is heavy due to leverage/physics. Do you even own a pool?
Aiper is world's top least reliable pool robot. I bought 3kinds($850, $380, $350), but they are no working after one year. Aiper robot life is one year. I want we would jointly sue this company for deceiving consumers.

@@ModernDayReviews My bad, I said I got it for $460 and it was actually $476 and free shipping. I thought that was a steal!
I saw your post and did the same as you thanks😁👍 I am very happy with this pool cleaner, it works excellent.

Pool shop have cotton balls down to 10 micron to put in the basket
Are Firmware updates possible ? I’ve been waiting for one for over a week. Logistics issues.

S1 Pro can do firmware updates via the app without the bouy. @ModernDayReviews
So how does the ECO mode work? do you just leave it there in the water for a week?
heeeeelp!
Does this/can you use a phone app to monitor it and see its pattern?
No, Aiper does have an app but not for the S1. It works for the S1 Pro and Surfer S1 but features are very limited.

I don't have a sundeck so I don't know how it functions going up on one but I would think the reclicers would get in way once it gets up there.
How do you change the modes?
press the button 00:53
Can it clean my koi pond? My pond is about 3.5ft deep.
It's for pools not ponds.
I just ordered this model, do you know if they offer a fine particle filter that can be used with it? Thanks!
I would consider the filter basket to be effective for capturing fine particles. You can see what it looks like at 04:58, but that's all there is.

Doesn't pick up fine dust puts it straight back into the pool
@@TiptoptoonThank you for the info.🌻

No, it will park along the wall in any depth. Another brand has the waterline parking for 10 mintues or so.
I have a kidney shaped pool,Would this work in my pool? Thank you
Yes, it definiitly will. FYI: I think the discount code and link is still working if youre interested.
@@ModernDayReviews thank you so much
what happens when you want it to stop? does it auto park by side of pool for easy pick up ?
It doesn't stop till the battery runs out. You can try to grab with your pole & hook while it's still working but otherwise just wait till it dies and it will stop near wall.
@@ModernDayReviews my pool is 10ft deep. It might stop at the bottom of the pool? That would be a nonstarter for me, thanks
@@Raven_of_DoomI don't understand the reasoning, as they make poles way longer than 10ft, but to each their own.
@@ModernDayReviews Are you suggesting that fishing out something this heavy from the bottom of your pool daily is easy? A scoop of leaves at 10ft is heavy due to leverage/physics. Do you even own a pool?
@raven i think you need to google buoyancy and physics yourself LOL... some ppl
Does not work in a Freeform pool. Gets lost and confused. Cleans the same strip repeatedly. Needs a 90 wall angle. No help from Aiper. Returned unit.
How free form? I have a Mountain Lake style, 20x40, straight steps, 8 ft deep. My old AquaClean Plus just broke apart at the bottom of the pool.
