    The Tundra and the 300 series Land Cruiser kinda had a baby.

      I really think that's why they discontinued the Land Cruiser in the US. Turns out, the Toyota Tundra, Sequoia, and Land Cruiser 300 series all share a platform. I bet there will be a super fancy Sequoia that is a Land Cruiser replacement now that the chassis is the same

      Harley Alexander I think the super fancy Sequoia is the one in the video. It’s the new Capstone trim level. It’s new on the Tundra as well and looks really nice. Appears to have every premium and comfort option Toyota offers. I would guess it will be around the $70k mark but that’s just a guess. We find out on Feb 1st for the Tundra model at least.

      I believe the interior is smaller too than the current generation( we will get specs to confirm soon). I understand it now has a solid rear axle, but that wasn't for our benefit. It was to simplify and reduce cost on their new platform designs.

      @chefcjnobles1680 2 года назад

      @Jeff Ladd That was the FIRST thing I looked for. I can understand (although disappointing) the deletion of the V8 but that drop down power rear window really sets the 4Runner, Sequoia and even Tundra apart from its competitors. Sad to see it gone.

      @@chefcjnobles1680 I based info on another site, but if it's true the irs stayed, I want to see how that will hold up over time having the locking differental package as TMS just advertised on their video. Also, that makes it even more of step down if interior rear cargo decreased and no live axle. *This 3rd gen now suffers from the 3rd row issues of the gx460 with odd not flat rear area. The last Sequoia is just the most boring full sized SUV.. This 2023 model is doing a 180 with that trend and looks amazing!.. I'm a Toyota loyal customer.. I'm Japanese and have worked in Australia and now live in Canada, so can honestly say that, I have always found Toyota's North American market full size SUVs to all target soccer moms and have no genuinely rugged full sized vehicle!! It has reflected in how significantly competing brands outsold the current generation Sequoia, in that full sized segment.. I think this 2023 Sequoia will change that!.. This 2023 seems like a step towards what the North American market actually wants from Toyota!! Especially the TRD with locking rear differential!! 😍
    I hope this is a new North American market beginning for my favorite brand!! And hope this is just the beginning!!.. Americans and Canadians have desperately wanted a return of actual rugged full sized Toyota SUV platforms back to North America!!.. This is HUGE step in the right direction, Toyota!.. Well done!!
    Now just put locking differentials on the western Lexus LX600, like the locking front, center AND rear differentials on the Japanese market LX600 and you'll be perfect!! 😁

      There’s an available rear air suspension

    • @cmryals
      @cmryals 2 года назад

      @@ToxicCookie Oh okay I did not hear any of them state that the 2-3 videos I watch said it was a solid rear axel and that’s why the 3rd row was elevated. That’s even better if you at least get the option for Air suspension, but independent suspensions is not the same as having air suspension. I was more concerned with the lack of head room due to having the to make from for the solid rear axel.
