Introducing the all-new 2023 Toyota Sequoia. Undeniable capability. Unmistakable presence.
#Toyota #Sequoia
The Tundra and the 300 series Land Cruiser kinda had a baby.
I really think that's why they discontinued the Land Cruiser in the US. Turns out, the Toyota Tundra, Sequoia, and Land Cruiser 300 series all share a platform. I bet there will be a super fancy Sequoia that is a Land Cruiser replacement now that the chassis is the same
I thought the same thing
If the 4Runner looks anything like this, would you update your fleet?
@@betweenthepines4000 cant wait for the redesign of the 4runner
Harley Alexander I think the super fancy Sequoia is the one in the video. It’s the new Capstone trim level. It’s new on the Tundra as well and looks really nice. Appears to have every premium and comfort option Toyota offers. I would guess it will be around the $70k mark but that’s just a guess. We find out on Feb 1st for the Tundra model at least.
I’m going to need that Capstone edition pre-order soon. It is simply stunning.
Knowing how you military guys are, you’re gonna want to look at a few trim levels down brother. The capstone won’t be discounted
@@issac3436 😂😂😂 yeah I'm not sure the $80K Capstone is the best choice for the enlisted
@@TreyMo69 I think it'll be well north of $80k. Current Platinum is $70k. I'd bet the capstone is about $95-105k.
❤️
That front end is sooooo much better than the tundras. Doesn't have that crazy "mustache" and huge black grill!
Exactly! I agree!
Toyota, This is nice after 10 years of the old looks you finally worked it out. But Pls work out your turbo engines to make them last like the V8. # Fix wastes Gate problems and more.
Sequoia's are reliable and I'm really happy for the new updated third generation it looks sooooo good.
Seems like it’s a lot smaller than the last one. How are the third row accommodations? Is it big enough to fit 2 or 3 full size adults back there? How is the room behind the 3rd row?
The room behind the third row has to be at least 1 cubic foot. That's plenty of room, for a beach towel or something like that.
Whats this going to run 100k like everything else?
Don't be ridiculous, ...it'll be $99,999.
.....and 99 cents.
How did you not keep the retractable rear window?! That’s the only reason a 2021 Sequoia Nightshade is in my driveway and not an LC200. FFS!
They'll hopefully keep it in the 4Runner!
I believe the interior is smaller too than the current generation( we will get specs to confirm soon). I understand it now has a solid rear axle, but that wasn't for our benefit. It was to simplify and reduce cost on their new platform designs.
@@diostejastierras7898 incorrect. It’s a body on frame chassis like the Tundra but it has an independent rear suspension, not a solid rear.
@Jeff Ladd That was the FIRST thing I looked for. I can understand (although disappointing) the deletion of the V8 but that drop down power rear window really sets the 4Runner, Sequoia and even Tundra apart from its competitors. Sad to see it gone.
@@chefcjnobles1680 I based info on another site, but if it's true the irs stayed, I want to see how that will hold up over time having the locking differental package as TMS just advertised on their video. Also, that makes it even more of step down if interior rear cargo decreased and no live axle. *This 3rd gen now suffers from the 3rd row issues of the gx460 with odd not flat rear area. It shows lack of R&D and product functionality.* Take Care and Safe Travels!
Appreciate that 437 HP and 583 lb.ft. of torque from the hybrid engine.
Wow Toyota is really killing it Again. I hope for the All New Toyota Celica, Toyota Soarer and all JDM legends.
This is proof that technology should always get better and cheaper as time goes on. Now I just hope dealerships don't mark it up to unbelievable amounts.
Toyota always made good looking vehicles.
This got me excited for the next Gen 4Runners whenever they come. If it’s too long I may just have to go big and get this
So glad it got a much needed revamp!!!! 🥰 I love it stunning
Looks gorgeous, specially the TRD, love it!!
Hi Great Toyota team, this is Sriram from Hyderabad India, This Toyota Sequoia SUV is Looking Beautiful, Mind blowing, Outstanding Amazing, Fentastic...
Hat's off to Toyota Engineers.
Have a great life.
Bye my Toyota Friends...😀
Very improved! Love this!
Base price probably $65,000.
Maybe, without air conditioning.
More like $53,000-$55,000
Toyota... a extended version would be a great idea... im saying
First Gen sequoia Nation
not even a month in 2022 and they released a 2023 car!
That's hot Toyota!
Is there a leather option for Limited trim?
Wow ❤️ TOYOTA 🖐️
The 2023 Toyota Sequoia! ... Available early 2027.
Omg no way it’s the real Sebastian
This looks better than LC
Nice work!
❤️
The aforementioned entities will sell like hotcakes.
going to get one of these for myself 😁
I wish this car lunch next generation in name of fortuner
I can finally see upgrade in sequoia lol
The last Sequoia is just the most boring full sized SUV.. This 2023 model is doing a 180 with that trend and looks amazing!.. I'm a Toyota loyal customer.. I'm Japanese and have worked in Australia and now live in Canada, so can honestly say that, I have always found Toyota's North American market full size SUVs to all target soccer moms and have no genuinely rugged full sized vehicle!! It has reflected in how significantly competing brands outsold the current generation Sequoia, in that full sized segment.. I think this 2023 Sequoia will change that!.. This 2023 seems like a step towards what the North American market actually wants from Toyota!! Especially the TRD with locking rear differential!! 😍
I hope this is a new North American market beginning for my favorite brand!! And hope this is just the beginning!!.. Americans and Canadians have desperately wanted a return of actual rugged full sized Toyota SUV platforms back to North America!!.. This is HUGE step in the right direction, Toyota!.. Well done!!
Now just put locking differentials on the western Lexus LX600, like the locking front, center AND rear differentials on the Japanese market LX600 and you'll be perfect!! 😁
Why does the all new Sequoia have live rear axle?
Better get used to this design for the next fourteen years. It seems like they for sure updated it: there’s no more cassette player
Nice design! I like the white one on the left towards the end. Is it a TRD?
Yeah it’s a TRD
Appreciate that 437 HP and 583 lb.ft. of torque from the hybrid engine.
We appreciate your coming in for service within' 3k ;)
@@yukonstriker1703 dude you're a haterrrrrr
@@yukonstriker1703 you forgot this is a toyota bro
@@Oemg35 exactly, you could go 2 generations lifetimes without replacing shit
@@Oemg35 The tundra is hot ass right now. Wastegate issues before 2000 mile.
No way! The Sequoia lives!! Now I just gotta wait 10 years to buy one used 😂
😆😆😆
Robe the bank
Probably be that long to buy one new.
😂😂😂
@@jonesjones7057 No lies detected lol
Best looking full-size suv; although, its front end should also be on the Tundra. I’m not a fan of the new tundra front, but this looks much better.
🤣 . . . 🤦♂️
I'm guessing you haven't seen the new Tundra?
It’s the same front end yo 😂😂
It's the same front.
@@shanevenhorst4304 the lower grill is different
Glad I waited for this one. My 2011 Sequoia has been awesome, but it’s time for a 2023 Sequoia.
Good luck getting one! There so good!
*Cargo room may be smaller their saying becasue of the solid rear axle vs 2nd gen rear independent.* Also I think they rear siding window may be gone. Something the 1st and 2nd gen had.
Ill buy your 2011!
That's awesome to hear! 😍 We're sure your current Sequoia has given you years of amazing memories. ❤️
Great job Toyota! This is going to be huge! I can’t wait to see one in person!
LOL you'll be waiting awhile! :)
@@yukonstriker1703 why are you so mad lmao
You sure are right about that..the administrative fees are going to be huge...lol
We're glad you're as excited as we are! 😍
@@toyotausa can we get a new version of the MR2, how awesome would that be
Sophisticated, modern, and practical. Well done, Toyota!
I hope the next 4Runner follows suit, complete with Sequoia and Land Cruiser 300 series elements in its design.
Turbo 4Runner, just like the 80s 😎
I’ve heard the Tacoma getting the NX350 2.4 turbo, but I’ll go through withdrawals if the 4Runner gets a 4 cyl too….😳😬
I hope the land cruiser prado gets a redesign
@@ConfirmedPatriot if the 6th gen gets 2.4L engine. I am going to stay away from it.
Next 4Runner is already designed.
Me “I’ll take 2 of them. “
Dealer “sounds great! That’ll be $220,000.”
After the dealer uppers put some demo miles on them and still sell it to you over msrp. Smh
Just wait, buyers market will be back and dealers will be knocked back down for their bad mark up behavior.
The Tundra grill should look like this.
Yes I think if the tundra had this grill then the tundra would be damn near perfect!
Sequoia’s grill should fit the Tundra as well
Just swap it out
@@EndlesSuffering exactly
Take my Money now! I’ve been waiting on this one to replace my 2nd gen. Looks better than the tundra
You may need to check the interior dimensions because they are saying it may have smaller inside space in all areas that matter than the 2nd generation. We shall see. We all have 1st generations and hope this one performs on quality. Also I think the rear sliding window is gone, sad about that if true. It always had it from the beginning.
This vehicle looks brand new it’s been 15 years Toyota have redesigned the sequoia . Dodge Durango is 11 years old now !
The Durango is going away anyway though
That's because it is brand new, Captain Obvious.
@@Andrewcox18 No they're weren't. Durango is not going anywhere. They're staying forever.
Actually been 13 but ye needed a change
@@Andrewcox18 the Durango is being redesigned as a full-size truck-based SUV like it used to be before the current generation. It will offer a twin turbo inline 6 cylinder, and a high output version of that same engine.
Oh Toyota definitely took their time with this! A classic returns and it's insanely beautiful 😍. I've always been a sequoia fan ever since the second generation. This UV is massive !!
Yessss. This is what i was waiting for some Eastern Prado/ Lexus Land Cruiser Integration. The TRD PRO look amazing
Did anyone notice the panoramic roof was not on the trd. I just wonder if they will limit the panoramic to a certain trim vs a few top one's?
@@diostejastierras7898 I mean if the tundra TRD PRO has it ig it’ll be a option for the sequoia
Sequoia taking the place of the Land Cruiser in the US? Nice work on the styling. Not ridiculous looking like the new Tundra.
Yup so it was bound to get the Capstone luxury model AND the TRD to fill in where there Land Cruiser left a void.
I have never liked the Toyota Sequoia but the new one is actually very nice!!!
WOW! Great job Toyota! That's a nice looking SUV. My next car for sure.
It sounds like you've got your eyes on the prize, Vahid! 🙌
Tbh I love the new sequoia 100x than the new LC300
No independent rear suspension, which will make 3rd row leg room terrible and hurt cargo room. They didn't keep the power window in the tailgate/hatch. Fail!
All my family drive Toyotas and we are in love with this Sequoia ❤️
Would you like a glass of milk with that cookie?
We appreciate you and your family's loyalty and support! ❤️
By far my favorite full sized suv, this deserves all the sales it’s gonna get for sure!!
our 2010 sequoia is getting an upgrade
I like the overall look of this better than the LX, especially the infotainment.
Sequoia being like 40k cheaper is my favorite feature
@@VioletNoRegard My only dislike is the third row not folding flat but I guess the hybrid batteries had to go somewhere. 😅
Nice looking full-size suv 👌
My uncle had a new 2004 Sequoia lasted him until 2018 when he passed, he was a mechanic and barely worked on his vehicle aside for basic tune-ups, suspension, steering, and handling parts, only major thing I remember him doing was timing belt kit, other belts, water pump and gaskets just for precautionary measures even though there was no leaks or failures... 100% bulletproof, with nearly 2 decades under the belt this one must be refined like a luxury yacht
Well done TOYOTA well done I’m in love with this beauty 🙌🏻👏🏻
Well, I love Sequoias but they are known for the clean design and this new model betrays that. Why that chaotic headlights?
Looking to replace my 2011 Sienna AWD Ltd.! Any MPG estimates yet?
Toyota siendo grande como siempre. Esperemos y pueda llegar pronto a México.
Great job 👏 Toyota….I have the 2016 thinking 🤔 about getting this one in red that red is amazing
I like that they finally redesigned it. But im more impressed that they still managed to make it look like a 4runner was stung by 50 bees.
@biblereader something we can always say about toyota. They are reliable, and stick to what they know.
Very nice! But what it really needed was an extended length version and IRS. That third row is a joke.
That is the front end the new Tundra should have had as well. The Tundra's front end is a brown bagger all day long, while this Sequoia front end is elegant and beautiful.
You know all the overlander / off-roaders will not leave this Tundra looking stock right? Haha
😃 Wow I have a 2006 Sequoia looks like it’s time to upgrade!!!!!That thing is beautiful
BOUT FREAKING TIME; took y’all long enough. 2025 (after y’all work out all the kinks) here I come!
Would be nice to have some storage behind the 3rd row for the larger families
Finally something decent but I miss the shape of the land cruiser :(
@1:26 when you see Yosemite on your multi information display every time you start your truck … says everything that you need to know about it … perfection
No 4Auto drive option? Big mistake. That is essential function. Come on toyota, I want on of these
I honestly cant wait for the new Hybrid 4runner that will be coming with this new style interior.
Will be a day 0 order for me haha
Me: "Yes, i want it."
Also me: [waiting to afford a 15+ year old Sequoia]
So you guys just going to keep promoting this IforceMax without giving us official MPG numbers huh🤦🏾♂️
Great Job on this Toyota! This has most likely become the #1 contender for our next family SUV. Hope to see independent rear suspension and maybe an extended version in the future.
There’s an available rear air suspension
@@ToxicCookie Oh okay I did not hear any of them state that the 2-3 videos I watch said it was a solid rear axel and that’s why the 3rd row was elevated. That’s even better if you at least get the option for Air suspension, but independent suspensions is not the same as having air suspension. I was more concerned with the lack of head room due to having the to make from for the solid rear axel.
@@elonsus9747 Uninformed claim.
Toyota, is there a way i can work in your company?? I'm really in love with your reliability culture,, & my vision has been to work in your company, either research & development or in your factories
Absolutely amazing. Excellent work Toyota!!! The Sequoia is beautiful and I love it in red. Watch out Infiniti and Nissan, Toyota has the crown now!!!
@biblereader those QX80 Infinitis are stunning.
More like Honda and Acura😆
@@jxmar_ them too! Lol.
was going to replace my '16 limited with a '22, but now I suppose I will wait til summer at least.. though first model year of a ground up redesign can be a bit scary.. ..
Why was that front end not put on the tundra? It’s like a slap in the face
Ahhh, that's a best car! Well done, Toyota ❤ But why it's available only in USA? We need it in other countries, such as: Russia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine and more... You are the BEST Toyota ✊🏻 I just started love Toyota, when i was in childhood. Don't give up! 🌟
(If you found mistakes, sorry. I'm not English)
Wow, can’t wait to see one in person! I hope the interior space isn’t smaller than the current generation!
Looks to be the same size as a 1st gen seqouia. Thus, a little smaller than current gen.
@@dgw4049 I do wish toyota made a larger vertion of it so it would compet with the huge Suvs from GM and Ford.
Do you see this behemoth
It’s safe to say that this is why they discontinued the Landcruiser
Land Cruiser wasn’t discontinued - It’s just not needed in the North American market anymore because it overlaps with the Lexus LX and this new Sequoia (which shares a platform with the new LX and Land Cruiser) can serve the purpose of the Land Cruiser in its luxury Capstone trim and its TRD trim.
That's a beautiful vehicle. Wish the Tundra had that grille
When my 2014 dies I’ll be getting one of these. I want one but that 2014 isn’t even broken in yet.
Give them time to clear out all the bugs of a first model year redesign
Wow Toyota! I’m nowhere near being able to afford this but if I could! Toyota is just always ahead of the curve and being super reliable is just a huge bonus.
It only needs a spare of turbos but the just in case something happens before or after warranty expires, probably a fuel pump too like them Lexus.
Wow!!! I loved it. Can't wait to get mine soon. I love Toyota.
