It's just sad. they had Mod Jed as part of ROT before he became a mod, and he exploited his position at the company to DOX people/RWT/etc... and that's super embarrassing for Jagex, so I wonder whether they'll give this problem its due attention or just keep quiet and hide, banning the bot accounts without being open with us.
Favorite RS Memory: During the second Leagues, I had tele'd back to Edgeville after getting poisoned. Being low leveled and having just started, I had nothing to stop death's inviable hand as my HP drained to 0. Before I passed, I made sure to announce to everyone else in the area "I have information that can incriminate King Roald!" and died at the feet of a large handful of people. I made one guy laugh so hard that he invited me to his clan and discord, and we became best friends and have been playing pretty much everyday since then.
Literally I was rooting for him for a long time, as I saw many times him getting screwed by ROT, and to think he would side with them is just disappointing. I removed my sub from his channel.

That’s a core memory for myself castle wars I was probably in 4th or 5th grade . Back then the decorative armor sets was the dream . Castle wars was so active back then . Was definitely a noob back then but it was a different adventure every time I logged in and played the game .
One of my favorite RuneScape memories dates back to around 2004. I had just purchased a full rune set for the first time, and the thrill of having such powerful armor was incredible. Feeling confident, I decided to venture into the wilderness. The fear and anxiety of knowing I could be attacked at any moment filled me with adrenaline. As I cautiously navigated through the dangerous terrain, a group of five mages spotted me. Panic set in as they chased me relentlessly. I ran as fast as I could, hoping to escape their clutches, but they pursued me all the way to level 1 wilderness. There, I was finally overwhelmed and met my demise. Despite the loss, that day taught me valuable lessons about risk and strategy in the game.
Favorite Runescape memory: When I first started, I thought PVP was everywhere so I sprinted away from Lumby to Draynor. Whenever someone came by, I would hide inside one of the homes, close the door on them rapidly, and beg them not to kill me. For days I gathered "treasure" from killing the NPCs on the North side of Draynor, along with the occasional wheat and garlic. Somehow, I did not know there was a bank in Draynor. No idea how I missed it. I finally discovered the bank when going through the back door to the Wise Old Man's and looking through the telescope. I thought "Oh cool! There's a bank in that direction! I'll just head South until I reach a bank!" I felt so stupid after realizing there was a bank in that town the whole time lol
@@evonai i pick pocketed farmers for 2 hours straight at like lvl 9 thieving to make 8k and was hiding it from my friends and wanted to surprise them with how much money i made. i bought a addy scimmy. got scammed and some guy sold me tyras helm for my addy scim and my last 3k thinking i was getting a killer deal. lost my bank that day. and my innocence.

My favorite Runescape memory: Years ago when osrs first came out, Mod Mat K was showing off the drops from Armadyl at tree gnome stronghold. To make it quicker, he spawned in a ton of Armadyl, but people started getting too close to the gate and started getting killed, and spreading the armadyl hits to the rest of the crowd watching. The absolute chaos in those few minutes is the funniest thing in the game to date.

Favorite RuneScape memory: my next door neighbor also played RuneScape and we started in elementary school. I just remember being so excited to game with him on the weekends - we would always map and plan our RuneScape activities like what skills or quests we were doing. Him and his family moved when we were in middle school and we lost contact with each other over time. Hope he’s doing good and still playing! Last I heard he was working for NASA!
Favourite Runescape memory: one of my rs friends was saving up for a Santa Hat in 2006 and I used to accompany him while he caught red chins, I would literally just stand there and chat with him for hours every day, we had some awesome conversations.. After months of saving he finally bought the santa hat and let me wear it 😭he eventually stopped playing around the EOC era.. from time-to-time I still think about the good times we had together
Favorite RS memory: : I was trying out OSRS for the first time around the start of the pandemic after playing RS as a kid; Was mainly playing FTP & after finishing up all the quest I saw grinding the ogres in Corsair's Cove was a good money maker at the time. After spending some time there me and another random player just got to chatting & after a couple hours of just grinding I told him I was thinking about going for membership for the first time, he was kind enough to drop me 10 mil & really helped on what I needed to do & how to play the game & to this day I still enjoy & play OSRS. It was really cool seeing how some random guy took this noob & was kind enough to start them off on the classic RuneScape addiction; still grind with him to this day & try to be the same for newer players.
Favorite runescape memory: Back in early 2000’s when a high level member helped me and my friend by walking us to the Black Knight’s fortress and guided us to complete the quest. What a great guy
When I was that age my cousin who was older and knew better convinced me that picking up swamp tar in lumbridge forest was a good money maker. Did it for so many hours I made 400k+ on it in like ‘08/‘09 💀
My favorite RuneScape memory, all my friends in my neighborhood played RuneScape (2007 timeframe) and we loved the willows in Draynor. We use to chop trees there for hours. Sometimes I go back just for the vibez!
Favorite Runescape Memory: Back in 2004-2005 when random events used to turn evil and attack you if you left them AFK for too long, specifically Dr. Hyde used to absolutely chunk you if you were in low defense. This was also the time where when you died anywhere in Runescape, your stuff just appeared on the floor for anyone to loot. (I'm sure you can already tell where this is going). Me and two other players were sitting in the Rogue's Den just chilling and cooking as most players do, and randomly the Dr. Jekyll random event appears next to a guy with Ghost Robes, Rangers, FC, and a Red Partyhat, which back in 04-05 was crazy. All of a sudden after waiting out the random event, the dreams of my 12 year old self were starting to come true, and Dr. Hyde came out and starting absolutely wailing on this player. It ended up bringing this player down to around 5 or so HP, when they happened to get back to their computer and run away from the random event. Super lucky for him...super unlucky for me lol. I talked to them after and they said they were actually in tears with how scared that made them, poor guy lol.
The first time I did Dragon Slayer, I got an Evil Chicken event right before fighting the demon in Melzar's Maze. I was like level 40 or so (on a friends pure account with 1 def), and got absolutely destroyed by it Also ruined the pure account when I finished it and my friend was pretty mad because Dragon Slayer gives defence xp
Favorite Runescape memory: My favorite memory got to be the first time playing Runescape. I was introduced to the game by some guys that were 3-4 years older than me - I was around 7 or 8 at the time. They were playing on the desktop in the school library. This was back when classic was at it peak. One day I was lucky enough to get to the computer first and tried to enter RuneScape. The problem was, that I didn't know how to spell RuneScape, and without having been really introduced to English (secondary language), I was a complete loss. I was instead waiting for some of the guys to come to the library and play. When they saw me at the computer, they were at first a little disappointed, because they thought they couldn't play, but I insisted that they came over and played RuneScape, and asked if I had played before. As a "reward" or as a "thank you" for giving them the chance to play, they offered me to make an account and helped with the login details and wrote down the URL, so that I could play any time, if I got the computer first or at home. Over the years I continued to play RuneScape and still does to this day. Thanks for the core memory boys.
My favorite memory of RuneScape were the days when people made mini pures for varrock multi and spent all day running around with a couple of mates fighting other wee teams

Dude me and a friend of mine from school did that. We made mages because they hit so fucking hard lol. In order to buy the damn runes though we had to fish lobsters for half the time when we were online to sell them and also provide us with food to eat while pking out there. That was absolutely an amazing time man lol
Awesome video! My favourite memory: about... 18 years ago, when I wasnt even 10, my older brother was walking me to falador from draynor. We were walking along the path north of port sarim, and I noticed someone had dropped a rune Warhammer (~40k at the time, more than I'd ever had) I started freaking out and told my brother is was there, and I started running for it. At least, I THOUGHT I was running. Turns out I was walking, and my brother ran over and got it before I could. He kept it, and yes I cried and told my mom 😂😂 I still bring it up to my brother every now and then... Good times ❤

My favourite memory: When I first started playing Runescape, I got stuck in draynor manor for a long time. And I had no clue how to escape until I accidently found the exit.

I would go to visit my grandma on dial up and she would not let me play for like 1 hour at a time, but I would kill goblins until I got a bronze square shield, and then once I finally leveled up enough to not die instantly, I traveled to the desert and found the scimitar shop. I’ve always loved blue as a favorite color, and the dreams finally came true to get that rune scimmy! I felt like I got the lottery 😂 the good old days boys what a time
Favorite RuneScape memory: I was brand new, wandering around the Lumbridge and Al-Kharid area. Someone approached me and offered to smith me a full set of armor and weapons. We quickly became buddies in F2P back when it was more of a social game than a grind fest. We would just chill and train skills slowly and link up to quest when we got the requirements. Eventually they moved on with life and we reconnected a few times, but it was a wonderful start to the MMO world and demonstrated what it's all about: the people you meet along the journey.
Favourite memory, I met someone at a festival this year and we didnt really speak until we both got home, found out she plays scape and she came up to my house for a week and we did while guthix sleeps together, honestly pretty wholesome and refreshing to still play in the same room with someone its been a hot minute.

Favorite RuneScape memory: My parents made a rule when I was a kid that I couldn't use the computer before 7:00 AM, so I got into a habit of waking up in the morning and tip-toeing down the hallway past my parent's room and my brother's room so I could start playing as soon as 7 rolled around. I didn't want to wake anybody up because I knew if I did I wouldn't get to play as much because we only had one computer that the family shared. Now, as an adult, I have woken up at 5:00 AM multiple times to do new content right as it drops. Some things change, some things stay the same.
One of my favorites: Some of my fiends and I all played around the same time, none of us had membership so money was hard to come by around 2008. I liquidated around 90% of my bank to buy a baller addy kite (g). I ran over to my friend's house and kicked him off of his own computer to show him my new prized possession, with him ooo-ing and aww-ing. I thought I was flexing so hard, but then he pulls out his rune full helm (g). That day started our race to get full sets of trimmed armor, I don't think either of us completed a set lol

Favorite Runescape memory: 1: Back when I was a noob who didnt know how the game worked, I carried my whole bank around with me because I thought banks charged a fee to use. I died to some scorpions mining, but one of the friends I made through RS and was mining with grabbed all my stuff and traded me it back without keeping anything for herself. My other favorite memory is making twin pking accounts in free wildy with a friend I met though RS. We always did low level pking because we were broke, but we ended up becoming friends outside of RS from all the time we spent playing together.
My favorite memory was snagging a party hat in runesape classic when they were being duped. I ran upstairs in a house and logged off the the rest of the day being afraid of getting banned. I got to keep the hat.

My favorite RuneScape memory was back in 2006, I was still free to play because I was a middle schooler and about a week before I knew I was going to be able to use birthday moneyvto get membership I had a crazy dream about what was on the other side of the gate at Falador in the members area. I just remember being so awe struck about how big the map was and all the new stuff to do, and waking up really excited about getting to see if my dream was right. It wasn't but I was so excited when I finally logged in and went through the gate and ended up fishing in catherby while asking people there a million questions about the game. I'd give anything to have that exciting feeling about the mysteries of membership again.
My favorite Runescape memory is coming home from school on a rainy fall day, being able to play the whole evening and at the time there wasn't any established metas or tick-perfect ways to skill. I miss those days!
Favorite memory, I finally bought gold trim adamant plate. I really wanted to show my friend this cool thing I discovered in the wilderness. I can’t remember exactly what it was.. but I remember getting attacked by a high level mob and dying, having the gold trimmed armor and my entire cash stack on me. At the time, I didn’t realize you could reclaim your loot from your gravestone… I was so mad! Looking back, it’s a funny memory and a good one of myself and my friend before he went on to a better place.
Favourite memory, an odd one. But sticks out the most - having TWO irl friends, both within the same friend group, be player mods at some point over the last 20 years. I think one still is actually, but neither play anymore. Or, staying up til 5am at a friends house playing runies in early high school, because their parents would let us but my parents wouldn't haha
Favourite memory: I was on my character who id named sephiroth with a load of s's and h's on either end as it was obv already taken. Was in lumby killing cows for cowhides to tan & sell, guy called Phoenix118 who was a level 90 something account came up and told me he was quitting and asked if I wanted his acc. Being 10 I was all over it - he PMed me his password, logged out, I instantly wrote it down on my hand (didnt have time to find paper, was too busy pissing my pants with excitement). Logged in and presto, 74 fishing and 81 woodcutting were the 2 highest stats that stood out because I hated skilling (still do), guy had a whip and full rune g, legends cape and zerker helm. Equipped it all and genuinely wanted to squeak because of the excitement. Went to school next day, told all my mates about it, only for the guy to have changed his password the next day cos you don't quit RS. Was absolutely devastated mainly becsuse I looked like a prat to my friends but god damn the whole thing start to finish has lived with me ever since
Favorite Old School Runescape memory. I took 2 weeks of vacation off work for the release of OsRs. The last weekend I had off me and 2 friends went to Dagganoth kings. We had terrible gear, iban staffs, grantie shields, just terrible. Anyways, if you remember the health, prayer, and run orbs didn't exist back then. The only way to check to see if you were almost out of prayer was to click your stats tab in the game. Well we were in skype chatting. Rex was about to die and we were death dotted on top of each other over by prime spawn. I said alright guys check your prayer, as prime had spawned in and was attacking us. They checked their prayer....I did not. I died almost immediately and the laughter from them and my shock as it happened made it all worth it. We didn't get anything that trip anyways, but it was allllllll good.
Favorite RuneScape Memory: The sun was setting over the virtual lands of Gielinor as I approached the dreaded Wilderness. Clad in my best rune armor, with an inventory full of lobsters and a heart pounding in my chest, I crossed the threshold into the lawless land. The goal was simple: a high-stakes trip to the Lava Maze for a chance at some rare loot. The maze was teeming with danger-both from the environment and from other players. As I navigated the labyrinthine paths, I kept a wary eye on my surroundings. Suddenly, a flash of red in the corner of my screen signaled an approaching PKer. There was no time to think. I had to act. A fierce battle ensued. Spells and sword swings were exchanged in rapid succession. My opponent was skilled, but I was determined. As my health dipped dangerously low, I managed to land a crucial hit with my dragon scimitar, sending the PKer to the ground. Breathing heavily, I quickly looted the fallen player, grabbing anything of value before making a mad dash for the exit. With each step, I could feel the tension easing, knowing that every moment could bring another ambush. Finally, I crossed back into the safety of civilization, my heart still racing but my inventory richer. That night, the thrill of the encounter and the taste of victory lingered, reminding me of why RuneScape was more than just a game-it was an adventure.

Favourite RuneScape memory: when my brother got a half key from net fishing when we were about 12 (around 2005) and he sold it for 50K, which was the most money either of us had ever seen. For context, we both had “high level accounts” - my combat level was 73 at the time, and I know that because it never increased! I came back to RS on the very first day of OSRS back in February 2013, and I’ve never looked back. My brother still plays sometimes too, and we have a clan chat called “50K Kings” named after his great achievement 😂

Favorite RS memory: being introduced to the game via my friend's cousin. We were in elementary school in the mid 2000's and he was showing us what the game was like and doing quests for hours. We were just watching over his shoulder. He was playing with one of his friends and said, "watch this. We can go do something else and come back, and he will still be here." We went and played outside and came back an hour later, and his friend was still mining in Al Kharid lol
My favorite OSRS memory is probably this time when I was training on rock crabs after renewing my membership for the first time in awhile. I had the itch to play but I wanted to train my stats and I ended up getting crashed by another player. We got to talking while we were both being stubborn and standing our ground but we ended up having a really nice conversation. They donated 1000k to me sort of as an apology for crashing, but I like to think of it as a thanks for a nice conversation even though our interaction didn’t have the beat start. It was an odd experience but it felt like a quintessential OSRS moment. We can all be a “crasher” one time or another, but we’re all playing a game that we love and that’s something we can bond over universally.

Favorite runescape memory: I was an ambitious little mage, I knew about the wilderness and was ready, having just unlocked wind blast and with about 30 death runes in hand, I set off just north of edgeville. Obviously, I had no business trying to pk anyone, atleast I had a few lobsters to heal with. I wandered in level 5 wildy for a minute or two and spotted my prey, someone the same level as me and he was in full rune. I knew about the combat triangle so I thought for sure I could take him. As I stared at him, wondering when I should make the first move, he skulled up on me with his rune scimmy! To this day, I can't say I've had a more epic encounter, one that definitely shouldn't have happened to begin with. We were slapping each other for 12 damage in 5 wilderness, no other soul in sight, for about 20 or 30 seconds, but it felt like an eternity. Just when I thought I might need to bail, he turns to run toward the monetary. I am autocasting wind blast on him as he runs, hoping desperately to get a few more hits in. He makes his exit safely, we both thought, to the monastery garden. But this was a long time ago folks, there was no ditch, and damage wasn't cancelled upon exiting the wilderness, and I had 1 final wind blast heading straight for him. He reaches the entrance to the garden just as my attack lands and it maxes a 13, dropping the poor lad to his knees. I looted full rune that day, which was EASILY 20x my bank (I put my whole bank into those 30 air blast casts). He even had blue gloves of some sort to match the set. Best Runescape memory hands-down. I ended up losing the whole set being scammed at the duel arena some short time later.
Favorite runescape memory: honestly every time you go raid with the boys and you get a purple, we then start up hyping about the purple being a shadow and it actually ends up being a shadow, then we say we have to go for the back to back and always end up disappointed
Favorite Runescape memory: Farmed Green Dragons for 10 days straight to afford a 9m Saradomin Sword. Later sold it and learned to merch off it, reaching 124m for my first AGS and I was the proudest kid ever, flexing it to my school friends at the time. It was perfect :'D
My favorite runescape memory was in 2007. Communicating over landline phones, my friend told me to install this fun new game. After first trying to install run escape, I finally made it to the browser and fresh off tutorial island he told me there was something I had to see and we marched to the dwarven mines in falador. We entered by the party room and as soon as we went down he said "oh by the way watch out for the scorpions." Needless to say, I was back in lumbridge pretty quickly. I don't remember what happened next or what he wanted to show me, maybe it was just a long drawn out assassination attempt. Not sure, but that was 17 years ago and I'm still here lol
Favorite memory: back in the day chilling at the GE all summer. Midway through it we got a nice group together, a couple of us always bankstanding at the GE whilst the others passed by doing some other random stuff to bank. One of them was a level 80ish who was just broke and in full green dragon bot gear. Granite body d med and legs, obby cape, the works. So one day I PM'ed him to come to palace and gave him a d plate and full helm so he looked like an absolute boss entering the GE. Told him to keep quiet about me giving it to him because else everybody else would come begging but my man looked real nice.
Favorite Runescape Memory: Getting members for the first time and going through Taverley gate and writing my exploration path on a piece of paper. Going across White Wolf Mountain, fishing in Catherby, thieving in Ardy, and then winding up in Keldagrim because I liked LotR dwarves so much. I haven't had such a feeling of discovery since.
Favourite RuneScape memory: being able to get the 2005 Halloween event zombie head in lumbridge swamp - trying to get that crazy rolling head on dial up was a mission in itself and incredibly rewarding to get after nearly 30 minutes trying to do it!
My favourite rs memory was when I was 11 y/o , in primary school, all my friends and I were f2p only and we were in varrock sewers fighting moss giants and my friend walked in with a reveal of his rune plate body after he finished dragon slayer whilst most of us had only adamant or rune chain body. Was truly a hype moment where we all freaked out.

My favorite RuneScape memory is the day that RS2 released. I hadn't played the beta so I was experiencing it for the first time, and the sudden change from classic graphics to rs2 was insane. I spent most of that day exploring the world to see how different everything looked.

It's hard to pick one, but some of my fav RS memory is probably when I was a kid first playing in 2001. I remember Asgarnia being released, and it was such a crazy idea, full of possibility. Farming Moss Giants. I was young, dunno if I even had members. That or when I started again around 2009 and training Hunter like it was the craziest coolest thing lol. Summoning and dungeoneering was fun at that time too, the former just for the actual summons (not training it lol) the latter for everything. But the changes as time went on messed them up afaik, idk I haven't really played RS3.
Favorite Runescape memory: First time buying membership in Runescape Classic. I had always been free to play, finished all of the quests, and saved up for a month for the $5 to pay for it. I had NO IDEA how much content members had access to, and had a solid month of nothing but new experiences. Was such a blast, and haven't felt anything like it since!
My favorite Runescape memory, outside of the 2007-2008 times, was when I got back last year September, 2023. For the first time ever, I got my first ever Fire Cape, and my first Quest Cape. I was crying, it was beautiful. All my dreams I had as a kid, come true so many years later. Ever since, I've loved playing OSRS so far, and it's so much fun. My next goal is all diaries, and max!
Think my fave memory in RS has to be getting that very first fire cape. Back in the day you didn't have many of the plugins or gear that makes the caves easy, and just getting your hands on the then best-in-slot cape after beating what was then the hardest boss in the game just made me feel invincible and accomplished. This was before the free trade removal and summoning, and I've yet to reclaim it in OSRS, simply because I'm taking things a bit more chill. As for favourite old school memory so far? Definitely the day I returned to it after so very long and finding my acc in the backup, still sitting in minotaurs. A reminder that despite time's passage we were all noobs at one time.
My favorite early RS memory was when i was first able to start pest control. This was probably '08 or '09. I had the absolute bare minimum to join the novice boat and was wholeheartedly DEDICATED to getting a full set of range void. Since it was summer and achool was out, i spent what felt like hundreds of hours grinding that set out. My dad has a picture of me at one point during those few days with my hand still on the mouse, halfway sat in the chair, and dead ass asleep. I finally got the set after a few days and young me was THRILLED, only to realize moments later that i wasnt 42 range (minimum req).
Favourite Runescape Memory: Has to be start of 07scape as sister had gone on holiday for a week so me and irl mates housesat for the week just playing OSRS week after it came out. During that week we get Torsos at like 60 combat and I was the only person who really know how to do the game so we put our dumbest irl friend on Collector/Attack and I got level 3 healer to try to get us a queen KC. Mate doing collector uttered the words "Im playing like the hardest role" after he ran off on the 11th Queen fail meaning I couldn't heal him in time right at the end before we omega egged Penance Queen. Sisters cat pissed in the bed that night and he hadn't realised until after getting in which was the cherry on the cake
Favorite runescape memory: Firing up Runescape 2 when I was in middle school getting ready to go F2P pk in iron plate and a black scimitar while Superbeast/Dragula by Rob Zombie were on repeat. When you dropped someone, it felt so good

Favourite memory: when I started back in mid to late 2000’s I got lured into wildy and lost full addy armour and an onlooker took pity on me and gave me a full set of rune and a whip as soon as I got the reqs. Was like a dad to me and kept checking on my progress daily.
Favourite Runescape memory: getting a blood dye from an elite clue the second day they were released. I combined the "blood money" with my life's savings in Runescape (and a quick loan from my friend) and got myself a purple partyhat. I was originally going for a green one, but it was more expensive and I couldn't find a seller for the price I wanted. I've been rocking purple equipment ever since. I've had countless offers and scam attempts, but I've turned all of them down. The hat is a status item that represents my undying devotion to the game. One cannot put a price on that.

Favorite RS Memory: During the second Leagues, I had tele'd back to Edgeville after getting poisoned. Being low leveled and having just started, I had nothing to stop death's inviable hand as my HP drained to 0. Before I passed, I made sure to announce to everyone else in the area "I have information that can incriminate King Roald!" and died at the feet of a large handful of people. I made one guy laugh so hard that he invited me to his clan and discord, and we became best friends and have been playing pretty much everyday since then.

One of my favorite RuneScape memories dates back to around 2004. I had just purchased a full rune set for the first time, and the thrill of having such powerful armor was incredible. Feeling confident, I decided to venture into the wilderness. The fear and anxiety of knowing I could be attacked at any moment filled me with adrenaline. As I cautiously navigated through the dangerous terrain, a group of five mages spotted me. Panic set in as they chased me relentlessly. I ran as fast as I could, hoping to escape their clutches, but they pursued me all the way to level 1 wilderness. There, I was finally overwhelmed and met my demise. Despite the loss, that day taught me valuable lessons about risk and strategy in the game.
Favorite Runescape memory: When I first started, I thought PVP was everywhere so I sprinted away from Lumby to Draynor. Whenever someone came by, I would hide inside one of the homes, close the door on them rapidly, and beg them not to kill me. For days I gathered "treasure" from killing the NPCs on the North side of Draynor, along with the occasional wheat and garlic. Somehow, I did not know there was a bank in Draynor. No idea how I missed it. I finally discovered the bank when going through the back door to the Wise Old Man's and looking through the telescope. I thought "Oh cool! There's a bank in that direction! I'll just head South until I reach a bank!" I felt so stupid after realizing there was a bank in that town the whole time lol

My favorite Runescape memory: Years ago when osrs first came out, Mod Mat K was showing off the drops from Armadyl at tree gnome stronghold. To make it quicker, he spawned in a ton of Armadyl, but people started getting too close to the gate and started getting killed, and spreading the armadyl hits to the rest of the crowd watching. The absolute chaos in those few minutes is the funniest thing in the game to date.

Favorite RuneScape memory: my next door neighbor also played RuneScape and we started in elementary school. I just remember being so excited to game with him on the weekends - we would always map and plan our RuneScape activities like what skills or quests we were doing. Him and his family moved when we were in middle school and we lost contact with each other over time. Hope he’s doing good and still playing! Last I heard he was working for NASA!
Favourite Runescape memory: one of my rs friends was saving up for a Santa Hat in 2006 and I used to accompany him while he caught red chins, I would literally just stand there and chat with him for hours every day, we had some awesome conversations.. After months of saving he finally bought the santa hat and let me wear it 😭he eventually stopped playing around the EOC era.. from time-to-time I still think about the good times we had together
Favorite RS memory: : I was trying out OSRS for the first time around the start of the pandemic after playing RS as a kid; Was mainly playing FTP & after finishing up all the quest I saw grinding the ogres in Corsair's Cove was a good money maker at the time. After spending some time there me and another random player just got to chatting & after a couple hours of just grinding I told him I was thinking about going for membership for the first time, he was kind enough to drop me 10 mil & really helped on what I needed to do & how to play the game & to this day I still enjoy & play OSRS. It was really cool seeing how some random guy took this noob & was kind enough to start them off on the classic RuneScape addiction; still grind with him to this day & try to be the same for newer players.

Favorite Runescape Memory: Back in 2004-2005 when random events used to turn evil and attack you if you left them AFK for too long, specifically Dr. Hyde used to absolutely chunk you if you were in low defense. This was also the time where when you died anywhere in Runescape, your stuff just appeared on the floor for anyone to loot. (I'm sure you can already tell where this is going). Me and two other players were sitting in the Rogue's Den just chilling and cooking as most players do, and randomly the Dr. Jekyll random event appears next to a guy with Ghost Robes, Rangers, FC, and a Red Partyhat, which back in 04-05 was crazy. All of a sudden after waiting out the random event, the dreams of my 12 year old self were starting to come true, and Dr. Hyde came out and starting absolutely wailing on this player. It ended up bringing this player down to around 5 or so HP, when they happened to get back to their computer and run away from the random event. Super lucky for him...super unlucky for me lol. I talked to them after and they said they were actually in tears with how scared that made them, poor guy lol.
The first time I did Dragon Slayer, I got an Evil Chicken event right before fighting the demon in Melzar's Maze. I was like level 40 or so (on a friends pure account with 1 def), and got absolutely destroyed by it

My favorite memory got to be the first time playing Runescape. I was introduced to the game by some guys that were 3-4 years older than me - I was around 7 or 8 at the time. They were playing on the desktop in the school library. This was back when classic was at it peak.
One day I was lucky enough to get to the computer first and tried to enter RuneScape. The problem was, that I didn't know how to spell RuneScape, and without having been really introduced to English (secondary language), I was a complete loss. I was instead waiting for some of the guys to come to the library and play.
When they saw me at the computer, they were at first a little disappointed, because they thought they couldn't play, but I insisted that they came over and played RuneScape, and asked if I had played before.
As a "reward" or as a "thank you" for giving them the chance to play, they offered me to make an account and helped with the login details and wrote down the URL, so that I could play any time, if I got the computer first or at home.
Over the years I continued to play RuneScape and still does to this day. Thanks for the core memory boys.

My favourite memory: about... 18 years ago, when I wasnt even 10, my older brother was walking me to falador from draynor. We were walking along the path north of port sarim, and I noticed someone had dropped a rune Warhammer (~40k at the time, more than I'd ever had) I started freaking out and told my brother is was there, and I started running for it. At least, I THOUGHT I was running. Turns out I was walking, and my brother ran over and got it before I could. He kept it, and yes I cried and told my mom 😂😂 I still bring it up to my brother every now and then... Good times ❤

Favorite RuneScape memory: I was brand new, wandering around the Lumbridge and Al-Kharid area. Someone approached me and offered to smith me a full set of armor and weapons. We quickly became buddies in F2P back when it was more of a social game than a grind fest. We would just chill and train skills slowly and link up to quest when we got the requirements. Eventually they moved on with life and we reconnected a few times, but it was a wonderful start to the MMO world and demonstrated what it's all about: the people you meet along the journey.

Favorite RuneScape memory: My parents made a rule when I was a kid that I couldn't use the computer before 7:00 AM, so I got into a habit of waking up in the morning and tip-toeing down the hallway past my parent's room and my brother's room so I could start playing as soon as 7 rolled around. I didn't want to wake anybody up because I knew if I did I wouldn't get to play as much because we only had one computer that the family shared. Now, as an adult, I have woken up at 5:00 AM multiple times to do new content right as it drops. Some things change, some things stay the same.
My favorite memory must be hopping on the gnome-copters when they were still a thing. Getting a "preview" of members worlds was so cool :D
One of my favorites: Some of my fiends and I all played around the same time, none of us had membership so money was hard to come by around 2008. I liquidated around 90% of my bank to buy a baller addy kite (g). I ran over to my friend's house and kicked him off of his own computer to show him my new prized possession, with him ooo-ing and aww-ing. I thought I was flexing so hard, but then he pulls out his rune full helm (g). That day started our race to get full sets of trimmed armor, I don't think either of us completed a set lol

Favorite Runescape memory: 1: Back when I was a noob who didnt know how the game worked, I carried my whole bank around with me because I thought banks charged a fee to use. I died to some scorpions mining, but one of the friends I made through RS and was mining with grabbed all my stuff and traded me it back without keeping anything for herself. My other favorite memory is making twin pking accounts in free wildy with a friend I met though RS. We always did low level pking because we were broke, but we ended up becoming friends outside of RS from all the time we spent playing together.
My favorite memory was snagging a party hat in runesape classic when they were being duped. I ran upstairs in a house and logged off the the rest of the day being afraid of getting banned. I got to keep the hat.

Favorite memory, I finally bought gold trim adamant plate. I really wanted to show my friend this cool thing I discovered in the wilderness. I can’t remember exactly what it was.. but I remember getting attacked by a high level mob and dying, having the gold trimmed armor and my entire cash stack on me. At the time, I didn’t realize you could reclaim your loot from your gravestone… I was so mad! Looking back, it’s a funny memory and a good one of myself and my friend before he went on to a better place.

Favourite memory: I was on my character who id named sephiroth with a load of s's and h's on either end as it was obv already taken. Was in lumby killing cows for cowhides to tan & sell, guy called Phoenix118 who was a level 90 something account came up and told me he was quitting and asked if I wanted his acc. Being 10 I was all over it - he PMed me his password, logged out, I instantly wrote it down on my hand (didnt have time to find paper, was too busy pissing my pants with excitement). Logged in and presto, 74 fishing and 81 woodcutting were the 2 highest stats that stood out because I hated skilling (still do), guy had a whip and full rune g, legends cape and zerker helm. Equipped it all and genuinely wanted to squeak because of the excitement. Went to school next day, told all my mates about it, only for the guy to have changed his password the next day cos you don't quit RS. Was absolutely devastated mainly becsuse I looked like a prat to my friends but god damn the whole thing start to finish has lived with me ever since
Favorite Old School Runescape memory. I took 2 weeks of vacation off work for the release of OsRs. The last weekend I had off me and 2 friends went to Dagganoth kings. We had terrible gear, iban staffs, grantie shields, just terrible. Anyways, if you remember the health, prayer, and run orbs didn't exist back then. The only way to check to see if you were almost out of prayer was to click your stats tab in the game. Well we were in skype chatting. Rex was about to die and we were death dotted on top of each other over by prime spawn. I said alright guys check your prayer, as prime had spawned in and was attacking us. They checked their prayer....I did not. I died almost immediately and the laughter from them and my shock as it happened made it all worth it. We didn't get anything that trip anyways, but it was allllllll good.
Favorite RuneScape Memory: The sun was setting over the virtual lands of Gielinor as I approached the dreaded Wilderness. Clad in my best rune armor, with an inventory full of lobsters and a heart pounding in my chest, I crossed the threshold into the lawless land. The goal was simple: a high-stakes trip to the Lava Maze for a chance at some rare loot.
The maze was teeming with danger-both from the environment and from other players. As I navigated the labyrinthine paths, I kept a wary eye on my surroundings. Suddenly, a flash of red in the corner of my screen signaled an approaching PKer. There was no time to think. I had to act.
A fierce battle ensued. Spells and sword swings were exchanged in rapid succession. My opponent was skilled, but I was determined. As my health dipped dangerously low, I managed to land a crucial hit with my dragon scimitar, sending the PKer to the ground.
Breathing heavily, I quickly looted the fallen player, grabbing anything of value before making a mad dash for the exit. With each step, I could feel the tension easing, knowing that every moment could bring another ambush. Finally, I crossed back into the safety of civilization, my heart still racing but my inventory richer.
That night, the thrill of the encounter and the taste of victory lingered, reminding me of why RuneScape was more than just a game-it was an adventure.
Favorite RS memory: playing castle wars non-stop when it first came out and all the shenanigans in the “pre-lobby” areas that came about

Favorite RS memory: For me it has to be raiding at Tombs of Amascut with my friend “Cunk Goblin”, that guy is so awesome and kind for being able to help me learn the raid along with the funny moments of dying, getting purples for money and just seeing his account progress, love that guy to this day :)
Favourite RuneScape memory: when my brother got a half key from net fishing when we were about 12 (around 2005) and he sold it for 50K, which was the most money either of us had ever seen. For context, we both had “high level accounts” - my combat level was 73 at the time, and I know that because it never increased! I came back to RS on the very first day of OSRS back in February 2013, and I’ve never looked back. My brother still plays sometimes too, and we have a clan chat called “50K Kings” named after his great achievement 😂

Favorite memory has to be "PKing" in full rune with no protection prayers, getting farcasted by ancients until death, and then switching off with my brother so he could go on his account and die the same way. We were clueless.
Favorite Runescape memory: When I was still a noob in F2p and someone offered to buy my banana hat from me then he didn’t believe I was still a new player so he kept teaching and telling me what to do and everything I need then after a while he gave me my first bond ever, then I knew that Runescape community is really awesome and loves helping people ❤
Favorite RS memory: being introduced to the game via my friend's cousin. We were in elementary school in the mid 2000's and he was showing us what the game was like and doing quests for hours. We were just watching over his shoulder. He was playing with one of his friends and said, "watch this. We can go do something else and come back, and he will still be here." We went and played outside and came back an hour later, and his friend was still mining in Al Kharid lol
My favorite OSRS memory is probably this time when I was training on rock crabs after renewing my membership for the first time in awhile. I had the itch to play but I wanted to train my stats and I ended up getting crashed by another player. We got to talking while we were both being stubborn and standing our ground but we ended up having a really nice conversation. They donated 1000k to me sort of as an apology for crashing, but I like to think of it as a thanks for a nice conversation even though our interaction didn’t have the beat start. It was an odd experience but it felt like a quintessential OSRS moment. We can all be a “crasher” one time or another, but we’re all playing a game that we love and that’s something we can bond over universally.
one of my favorite runescape memories is the first time I joined a clan a bit over a year ago now. was so nice to have a community to chat with while working on my account and cant believe i played for nearly 3 years without a clan before that
Favorite runescape memory: I was an ambitious little mage, I knew about the wilderness and was ready, having just unlocked wind blast and with about 30 death runes in hand, I set off just north of edgeville. Obviously, I had no business trying to pk anyone, atleast I had a few lobsters to heal with. I wandered in level 5 wildy for a minute or two and spotted my prey, someone the same level as me and he was in full rune. I knew about the combat triangle so I thought for sure I could take him. As I stared at him, wondering when I should make the first move, he skulled up on me with his rune scimmy! To this day, I can't say I've had a more epic encounter, one that definitely shouldn't have happened to begin with. We were slapping each other for 12 damage in 5 wilderness, no other soul in sight, for about 20 or 30 seconds, but it felt like an eternity. Just when I thought I might need to bail, he turns to run toward the monetary. I am autocasting wind blast on him as he runs, hoping desperately to get a few more hits in. He makes his exit safely, we both thought, to the monastery garden. But this was a long time ago folks, there was no ditch, and damage wasn't cancelled upon exiting the wilderness, and I had 1 final wind blast heading straight for him. He reaches the entrance to the garden just as my attack lands and it maxes a 13, dropping the poor lad to his knees. I looted full rune that day, which was EASILY 20x my bank (I put my whole bank into those 30 air blast casts). He even had blue gloves of some sort to match the set. Best Runescape memory hands-down.
I ended up losing the whole set being scammed at the duel arena some short time later.
Favorite runescape memory: honestly every time you go raid with the boys and you get a purple, we then start up hyping about the purple being a shadow and it actually ends up being a shadow, then we say we have to go for the back to back and always end up disappointed

Farmed Green Dragons for 10 days straight to afford a 9m Saradomin Sword. Later sold it and learned to merch off it, reaching 124m for my first AGS and I was the proudest kid ever, flexing it to my school friends at the time. It was perfect :'D
My favorite runescape memory was in 2007. Communicating over landline phones, my friend told me to install this fun new game. After first trying to install run escape, I finally made it to the browser and fresh off tutorial island he told me there was something I had to see and we marched to the dwarven mines in falador. We entered by the party room and as soon as we went down he said "oh by the way watch out for the scorpions." Needless to say, I was back in lumbridge pretty quickly. I don't remember what happened next or what he wanted to show me, maybe it was just a long drawn out assassination attempt. Not sure, but that was 17 years ago and I'm still here lol
My favourite Rs memory was stepping outside the fally gate towards Catherby. Gave me literal chills to experience it as a first time member!
Favorite memory: back in the day chilling at the GE all summer. Midway through it we got a nice group together, a couple of us always bankstanding at the GE whilst the others passed by doing some other random stuff to bank. One of them was a level 80ish who was just broke and in full green dragon bot gear. Granite body d med and legs, obby cape, the works. So one day I PM'ed him to come to palace and gave him a d plate and full helm so he looked like an absolute boss entering the GE. Told him to keep quiet about me giving it to him because else everybody else would come begging but my man looked real nice.
Favorite Runescape Memory: Getting members for the first time and going through Taverley gate and writing my exploration path on a piece of paper. Going across White Wolf Mountain, fishing in Catherby, thieving in Ardy, and then winding up in Keldagrim because I liked LotR dwarves so much. I haven't had such a feeling of discovery since.
My favorite runescape memory is when oldschool runescape come back and i found one of the first party hats on the ground with fireworks on it
Favourite RuneScape memory: being able to get the 2005 Halloween event zombie head in lumbridge swamp - trying to get that crazy rolling head on dial up was a mission in itself and incredibly rewarding to get after nearly 30 minutes trying to do it!
My favourite rs memory was when I was 11 y/o , in primary school, all my friends and I were f2p only and we were in varrock sewers fighting moss giants and my friend walked in with a reveal of his rune plate body after he finished dragon slayer whilst most of us had only adamant or rune chain body. Was truly a hype moment where we all freaked out.

I think the ol’ classic Christmas break from school.. you’ve been writing down everything you’re gonna do to your account and stay up endlessly to get them done off junk food you got from the dollar store with your buddies on bikes. Those early old school grinds

My favorite RuneScape memory is the day that RS2 released. I hadn't played the beta so I was experiencing it for the first time, and the sudden change from classic graphics to rs2 was insane. I spent most of that day exploring the world to see how different everything looked.
Favorite RuneScape memory: Staring wistfully from the F2P side of Taverly gate, then getting members for the first time and walking across all of the members area on foot.
It's hard to pick one, but some of my fav RS memory is probably when I was a kid first playing in 2001. I remember Asgarnia being released, and it was such a crazy idea, full of possibility. Farming Moss Giants. I was young, dunno if I even had members. That or when I started again around 2009 and training Hunter like it was the craziest coolest thing lol. Summoning and dungeoneering was fun at that time too, the former just for the actual summons (not training it lol) the latter for everything. But the changes as time went on messed them up afaik, idk I haven't really played RS3.

Favorite Runescape memory: First time buying membership in Runescape Classic. I had always been free to play, finished all of the quests, and saved up for a month for the $5 to pay for it. I had NO IDEA how much content members had access to, and had a solid month of nothing but new experiences. Was such a blast, and haven't felt anything like it since!
My favorite Runescape memory, outside of the 2007-2008 times, was when I got back last year September, 2023. For the first time ever, I got my first ever Fire Cape, and my first Quest Cape. I was crying, it was beautiful. All my dreams I had as a kid, come true so many years later. Ever since, I've loved playing OSRS so far, and it's so much fun. My next goal is all diaries, and max!
Think my fave memory in RS has to be getting that very first fire cape. Back in the day you didn't have many of the plugins or gear that makes the caves easy, and just getting your hands on the then best-in-slot cape after beating what was then the hardest boss in the game just made me feel invincible and accomplished. This was before the free trade removal and summoning, and I've yet to reclaim it in OSRS, simply because I'm taking things a bit more chill. As for favourite old school memory so far? Definitely the day I returned to it after so very long and finding my acc in the backup, still sitting in minotaurs. A reminder that despite time's passage we were all noobs at one time.
My favorite early RS memory was when i was first able to start pest control. This was probably '08 or '09. I had the absolute bare minimum to join the novice boat and was wholeheartedly DEDICATED to getting a full set of range void. Since it was summer and achool was out, i spent what felt like hundreds of hours grinding that set out. My dad has a picture of me at one point during those few days with my hand still on the mouse, halfway sat in the chair, and dead ass asleep. I finally got the set after a few days and young me was THRILLED, only to realize moments later that i wasnt 42 range (minimum req).

Favourite Runescape Memory: Has to be start of 07scape as sister had gone on holiday for a week so me and irl mates housesat for the week just playing OSRS week after it came out.
During that week we get Torsos at like 60 combat and I was the only person who really know how to do the game so we put our dumbest irl friend on Collector/Attack and I got level 3 healer to try to get us a queen KC. Mate doing collector uttered the words "Im playing like the hardest role" after he ran off on the 11th Queen fail meaning I couldn't heal him in time right at the end before we omega egged Penance Queen. Sisters cat pissed in the bed that night and he hadn't realised until after getting in which was the cherry on the cake
Favorite runescape memory: Firing up Runescape 2 when I was in middle school getting ready to go F2P pk in iron plate and a black scimitar while Superbeast/Dragula by Rob Zombie were on repeat. When you dropped someone, it felt so good
Favourite Runescape memory: convincing my parents to buy me members one day after school and going straight to the Varrock general store and being amazed at all the crazy looking junk like unstrung bows and snelms
Favourite memory: when I started back in mid to late 2000’s I got lured into wildy and lost full addy armour and an onlooker took pity on me and gave me a full set of rune and a whip as soon as I got the reqs. Was like a dad to me and kept checking on my progress daily.
Favorite runescape memory: when barrows was released, not only was it unbreakable but it caused the first crash of the infamous d chain
Favourite Runescape memory: getting a blood dye from an elite clue the second day they were released. I combined the "blood money" with my life's savings in Runescape (and a quick loan from my friend) and got myself a purple partyhat. I was originally going for a green one, but it was more expensive and I couldn't find a seller for the price I wanted. I've been rocking purple equipment ever since.
I've had countless offers and scam attempts, but I've turned all of them down. The hat is a status item that represents my undying devotion to the game. One cannot put a price on that.
