Hi my friend. In this tutorial, Split from solid tools to cut solids have been used. to active Solid tools go View/Toolbars/ check Solid tools.
After activating solid tools, select Split.

Hey Ben, It depends on your system! i7 or i9 and ryzen 5 or 7 is recommended.
number of waffels maybe is the other reason to taking longtime, so reduct the waffel number!

@@thekozali i had the same issue..i forgot the step of reversing the face and mayby that is why, the structure was not coming out to be a solid...its resolved at my end now! try again with this!
Maybe inside of your model have plane or line and check it is same color each plane
