There was a single called 'Seether' (try saying it like "see - der" 😁) in 1994 by a band called Veruca Salt, which was a 90's alternative rock band featuring 2 women (Louise Post & Nina Gordon) ... Veruca Salt had a hit in 1997 - 'Volcano girls'... but Nina Gordon split for a solo career around 2000 and the band soon became obsolete... Recently, Post & Gordon reunited Veruca Salt to tour and recorded a 2015 album 'Ghost notes'. Seether (the band) debuted in 2002 w/ the album 'Disclaimer'... Shaun Morgan (vocals & guitar) was from South Africa, and moved to the USA... They were a post-grunge band like Creed or Nickleback... but they had good songs - 'Driven under'... 'Fine again'... Originally, the song 'Broken' only had Shaun Morgan singing, but he and Amy Lee of Evanescence became a couple in 2003 and they made the song a duet for the soundtrack of Marvel's 'The Punisher' movie. In 2006, Evanescence released the single "Call me when you're sober" - Amy Lee directed the lyrics at Morgan after they broke up (Morgan had checked into rehab for alcohol abuse at the time).
