As a current whole foods employee, there are some things that are right and wrong with this video. Some tips I would say is:
1.yes the 365 brand is a lot cheaper than private labels
    2. You save an extra 10% off on any NON-365 label case off any product.
    3. You can request product sample. BUT as a regular team member I am only allowed to open any product that is $5 or less for sample. Anything higher I need my leadership approval.
    4. Try to pay attention to a special tag that says LAST CHANCE most likely that product has had the price slashed in half or more!!! This is done to get the product out of the store because of it not selling well and just trying to get rid off it or it's being discontinued and we want to replace it ASAP. I once found a 1 pound fine sea salt that was only 27¢
    5. Yes you can get your ranch or whatever dressing in some tiny to go cups and the cashier shouldn't weigh it in the total weight. I have done it many times.
There are more tips but this video kinda suggested all the big ones more or less.
PS: all employees save 20% by using their employee discount card on anything in the store. So I would say that is a nice perk.

10% case discount is no longer offered, and salad dressing in the container on the side is counted as part of the weight (but the container itself isn't-- the weight of the container is taken off). Also, your phone number isn't automatically attached to your Amazon account in the way you might think, so you need to opt in for Amazon to share your number with the Whole Foods system on the website. Doesn't take more than 30 seconds, but do it before you go to the store.

If you check the pricing in the bulk food section of your local grocery stores against pre-packaged foods you may often pay more for bulk. Then, of course, some items in the bulk food don't move, so they sit month after month exposed to the elements rendering them less than stellar. Which unfortunately cancels out bulk foods biggest strengths and preventing food waste by buying smaller quantities. Cant's speak to whole foods as we don't have them here.

B Williams aka “I need to see the manager”: Shopping smartly at Whole Foods has its place. I agree about the high quality and high value of many 365 brand items, though their butter is neither here nor there in my personal opinion (I usually buy and freeze any store brand butter for baking and cooking and most eating, but also make butter fairly often for eating).
I frequent places like Sahadi’s, Fairway Market and Paesano’s that Whole Foods wishes it could be, but also the two places you turn your nose up so high, your nostrils are full of soot and rain. Wal*Mart has a pretty comprehensive grocery department and great prices in most every segment and extremely great values in some segments (such as dairy with “use by” dates much farther out than found in other Metro NYC stores and 25 lbs of fresh, critter-free all-purpose flour for $2.50 recently for two recent examples). And the store closest to me is open 24/7/365. Don’t like “walmartians” (but think that is witty)? They ship for free orders I think $49 and up, which might be better for you to save humanity from your decidedly Karen personality. Trader Joe’s also has amazing prices and value for some things, a fantastic corporate culture that yields unfailingly cheerful, friendly and genuinely helpful staff and thus a great in store experience and tons and tons of fanboi blogs and subreddits extolling the chain, so I don’t think your sourpuss attitude is missed there either.
      Kind regards.

I used to shop at Whole Foods every week and visit the bulk bins regularly and buy things on sale and store brands. Those were the days when things were cheaper. *sigh*

Vlastalica Jaime that’s your opinion! The people who complain and hate it always have thousands of dollars of tattoos and buy other useless crap. They’d rather eat garbage still end up spending their money on hospital bills. Eat at aldi and McDonald’s! Enjoy, i plan to make my daily visit to Whole Foods in a few hours
