54 pavilions done…only about 150 to go! I have to agree with Click…it’s a stunningly brilliant even and site. Just to add that the site will convert to a whole new district afterwards. The big 4 pavilions remain and are repurposed into museum, children’s Centre, etc..the small pavilions turn into offices and restaurants and the larger country pavilions are recycled and housing is built where they stand now. It’s a truly incredible feat of planning construction and conceptual design…and yes, Al Wasl dome blows your mind !!
Why does he even mention Seattle in 1962? It was very small and basically the Space Needle was the take away. By far better were NY 1939, Montreal 1967 and Osaka 1970. Some of the architecture here is very original. Like the amazing Russian Pavilion. So how does he miss it?

Dubai is also not a place to settle for ever, it's a place to make money and go back home. Those "cheap" labor come to Dubai to make money for a period of time to support their family. If anything I'd put to you to go rail about the working conditions in India, Pakistan and Philippines that their people are leaving their respective countries to work overseas.

Just came back from Expo 2020. OMG it was really the greatest show on earth. So many countries and diversity out there! It was fantastic!
I find myself thinking a lot of the time I spent visiting the exhibition and I wish I could do it again. There's something magical about the place .
I only got into 14 pavilions in one day!! I was so tired by the end
