- Flight of the Bumblebee has become a TwoSetViolin meme due to “sacrilegious” performances of it that aimed to establish themselves as the fastest in the world. In this video, I attempt the 1 minute, 10 minutes, 60 minutes practice challenge to see how fast (and perhaps accurate) I can play the infamous piece on viola after not nearly enough practice.
The last time I made a video like this, it featured Paganini 24 and it took me a year and a half to fulfill my promise of recording a polished version of it. I would like to record a world-record version of myself playing Flight of the Bumblebee as well, and hopefully it will take less time than Paganini did! Видеоклипы
As a viola playing in high school this motivates me to just practice more and more seeing what can truly be done on a viola if I continue to grow and get better
Well said!
It sounds more like a bumblebee on viola. Violin is more like a honeybee.
I love how relatable the constant swing between confidence and complete self doubt is
That's one fat but agile bumble bee
If you can play it slowly...you can play it quickly!
It's true. Just new techniques once you go fast. :)

This is my first time listen to Flight of the Bumblebee on viola, you'll break the record in no time 🤣
6:34 being new to viola vs violin squabbles (from woodwinds), i can't help but hear that tempo and marvel at how neither instrument bursts into flames and becomes firewood from friction.
Wow...
Something compels me to say this was a completely flawless rendition of this piece, think it might have been the smiles that confirmed the accuracy and grandeur that was your rendition
5:37 James turned immediately to Brett Yang by doing a terrified little scream.
💀😭 Fr tho
Omg yess😂
The best rendition of Flight of the Bumblebees that I have ever heard! All hail the king!
For a total meme, it's actually an amazing piece. To get so much "nature" from a 4-string instrument.
Yeah- it really does sound exactly like a bee. I wouldn't need the title to be able to interpret it's emotion
You know you have skills when lh pizz is a technique you use as a backup
I'm glad I'm not the only one who always forgets to do dynamics! It usually takes me a couple of play-throughs before I add them in, and then I feel like I'm learning a whole new piece. Any tips?
Merry Christmas!
Ana
Practice in chunks of measures.
My teacher stops me immediately. It’s not play the whole piece until it’s fine and then go back and change mistakes -it’s more- practice a few measure until it’s absolutely perfect and move on. The practice is most efficient this way!!❤
Screams in sautille
* cries in chromatics *
It's encouraging to see struggle to satisfaction! 😁
I think the next cover should be of "just the two of us"
First!
Merry Christmas and prosperous New Year to you Viola King
Excellent
I hope you have happy holidays!!
How tall are you, btw? That viola looks huge on your shoulder!
Bro, we need to listen at you playing the noteblock universe score from Scott Buckley I need to know how the viola exists in this ost
No bueno quiero que este señor sea mi padre
!
I'm early but not fast.
NOPE SORRY!!!!!! David Garett already has that award from the Guiness Book of World Records :) you can find the video on RUclips
Yeah but I’m just gonna count him as a different category bc I’ll do it on viola
@@ViolaKing Good Luck hope you are in the book alongside David Garrett I played Viola from 3rd grade to 12 grade and am now 30 going on 31 this year and could never play that fast when I used to play
