I have that figure and it's amazing. Considering how new Mondo is at 1/6 scale figures it's really good. They missed the mark with the Gordon Freeman figure but Kratos is perfect. I also prefer the normal head sculpt. I think for me it's the moustache on the screaming head that makes it look wrong. A wider stand would be great. They should have included instructions as well for the belt stuff to show where they go. I had to refer to my Neca 7 inch one and the rope for the ash bag on mine is extremely tight and I wasn't even sure I was supposed to try passing the bag through there. Last little missing thing is a way to attach the blades on his back. I wanted the axe in hand and blades on his back for mine and had to make an improvised attachment using twist ties.
Kratos looks really good and he has a great portrait. The facial hair has been nicely sculpted, detailed and painted. However, the head sculpt with the raging facial expression is a tad bit off. Both, the nose and mustache are a bit too big. I prefer the default head sculpt as a result. While the body looks decent enough, it wasn't afforded the same level of detail that the head sculpts were given. I like the veins and scars that were added. The fingernails should've been painted a different color than the flesh tone. The outfit has some great stitch work and tailoring. Kratos comes with a pretty good amount of accessories. Speaking of which, the shields, the Leviathan Axe, the Blades of Chaos and Mimir are all nicely sculpted, painted and detailed. The fact that the regular shield attaches via magnet is a nice touch. It's also a nice touch that the Blades of Chaos were given actual working chains. The display stand is bland and uninteresting. Either, a placard with Kratos's name or the God of War logo should've been utilized, instead of having a blank display stand. Despite a couple of issues, this is still a solid 1/6th scale figure release on the part of Mondo. Otherwise, thanks as always Spot for another great video. I really appreciate the hard work. Keep it up!
Great review! I prefer the default too, in my opinion the nose on the screaming head is way too big and large, it makes it a bit off. And the facial hair (eyebrows and beard) is too light. If it was darker the figure would be really better.
Great review, Spot! I feel like the sculpt is great on this guy and on the accessories, but for the price point I think the paint is lacking a bit. The armor pieces and the blades look a little too plasticky.
Recently got the Iron Giant from mondo and then loved it so much I bought the Kratos like 3 days later lol, favorite movie and favorite game characters might set them up like they are fighting it’s gonna be awesome!
Excellent review as always! I am in the minority, but I much prefer sleek/Greek Kratos over bulky/Norse Kratos. I hate how all of a sudden he has forgotten how to jump in the games.
Unless there is an error in de-squeezing the image, his Body proportions look totally wrong to me. His upper body is way to short or way to wide. His legs are too thin. His head is somewhat off too. Looking at my NECA ¼ the did a way better job in this regards. I need watch some more videos about Mondos 1/6 Kratos, because I was soooo looking forward to get it, but now I am not sure about that anymore. Does anyone have them both? NECAs ¼ and this? Do they have the same proportions when you have them side by side for real?
More of statue than an articulated figure. One of the main drawback about 1/6 is articulation. This figure succumbs to the same lack of articulation as most 1/6th, though more severe than some others. I rather get a seamless statue than this limited-articulated figure. I always dislike limited articulation on warrior characters. How are you suppose to replicate any epic fight scenes when the character can barely move? I am planning on making my own 1/12th kratos that has good articulation, but 1/6th scale figure that well made and articulated would be nice.
Only thing that everyone can agree on. No one likes what they did to his skin for the figure. Yes the details are great but they should of made the skin a bit whiter. He looks more human then ghost of sparta.
Excellent review as always, Spot.
means a lot coming from you Kratos :)

Love the details on this figure. Comes with a good amount of goodies that use magnets which is always a plus to me.

Thanks a ton!
Happy St. Patrick's Day!! I hope you're having a good one!! 😊
Can his chaos blades be stored on the body?
Has anyone heard any update on Mondo's Doom Slayer figure yet?
If I'm not mistaken.. The next God of War is called Ragnarök and is already being worked on.
I like kratos himself.

Great sculpt ! Ans great details …… movement is terrible though. Can hardly adjust for any real posing. . I’m 50/50 in this guy
Kratos forearms are backwards
his right arm looks like his left arm. i think you need a new one. you got 2 left arms
