Whoever wrote this episode has been through watching a loved one go through dementia or Alzheimer's. The memory loss, the thinking the past is the present, the aggression and paranoia that Hugh had are familiar to those of us who've seen it first hand in someone we loved. Beautifully written and Simon Pegg deserves an Emmy nomination for his performance!
I don't see how anyone can dislike this series because it balances out so much in each episode --- The social commentary, graphic violence, emotional stakes, humanistic depths, and raunchy depravity. It has it all and does it well. Excellent video as always Johnny!
I was a snotty, sobbing, weeping mess by the end of this episode. Man, when Simon is on the vent, he looks so much like my daddy in his final days after a stroke. They were far from his last words, but at one point, after a severe stroke, Dad did look at me and barked, "Big Bopper!" After he recovered from that stroke, even *he* laughed! 😂 "Tom Hanks" makes for some very fine parting words.
I think Simon Pegg shined so brightly during this episode. Had me tearing up. I feel like Hugh’s death was completely unnecessary though. Hughie had already been through enough, especially in terms of “letting go.” He let go when he killed Translucent, he let go when he let himself love Starlight, he let go when he forgave A-Train, the list goes on and on.
8:44 if i was Butcher i would have said this "Well you coulda warned us your pal Sameer was Ving up a Kentucky Fried Cunting massacre couldn't ya?" Would have been slightly funnier.
A real and hard scene that we experienced as Hughie when reacting to a loved one that we do not wish to die soon. But being difficult to let them go. Even if they ask no!!!😭😭 Simmon peg deserves an emmy along with Anthony.👍👍❤❤👏👏
Stan: Dr. Shah was my top man at Vought R&D before he went behind my back and deflowered my daughter. Vickey: I was 20, thoroughly deflowered and this is not the time or place! No reaction to this?
As intense as the Boys is, it has its moments, when I saw this episode and the scene with Hugie Jr. and Hugh Sr. Had me tearing up and thinking of my dad. Nothing’s wrong with my father, I just worry when the day comes.
Imagine supes give these animals in the zoo the compound V like a Tiger, a lion, some seals, a komodo dragon, some Rhinos, elephants, hippos, macaws, cockatoos, chimps, lemurs, gorillas, vultures, snakes, crocodiles, alligators, zebras, Ibexs, hyenas, even other animals that would be goddamn nightmare right there and chaotically insane.
Beat Episode Of The Season And One of the best episodes of the show. Amazing horror on the farm and drama with Hughie's Dad. Wish the rest of the season was on the level of quality of this episode. Starr And Pegg crushed it here.
6:42 As a fan of the show and saw the fucking Vought Cognac, in the words of Steve Harvey, I'm about to have a Black Ass Moment. My reactions exactly lol
WATCH THE UNCENSORED, 17 MINUTE-LONGER EXTENDED CUT @PATREON.COM/JOHNNYODELL!
Hey J20, can you do a series of people reacting to Batman Caped Crusader, please 🙏
@@_dc09_87I second this
Thank you for another great video!

I almost lost it at “I’m not gonna hold on, you can go”.
Bro, that moment when Homelander made that Marketing guy run his pockets just for Ryan to still say ""no" is peak.
Bro, I lost it when he said wee Huey😭😭😭
The "THEY DON'T GO TO BED?" broked me LMAO
😂😂😂
Yup, that's Roshi for you.

Bruh, did not expect Hugh's death to hit like that. I knew he was gonna die, but damn...the way he did was not how I expected.

I think that's where they're buliding up to for Hughie and Butcher . The only person Hughie hasn't let go is Butcher
@@rand_xcurse6884 I can see that because of how complex their bond is
"Kept you waiting huh"
"You're right on time Snake."
Do you know how long it takes to put all of this together??
“You’re pretty good”
@@Samaland-f3sits a joke
Boss? Is it really you?
Having lost my father when I was 6, that SImon Pegg scene hit me hard. It brought me to tears... I felt Hugie's pain. Simon Pegg delivered.
This episode taught me that "off we fuck" is British slang. I thought everyone said it.
