I honestly never really cared about Annie even in the beginning. It’s no offense to the actor but for some reason I just didn’t really feel anything towards her. I worried about her when she nearly died yes but like not knowing the same level as other characters. But when she victim blamed her boyfriend who was damn near sexually assaulted is just what killed it for me. And she didn’t even apologize.
It was valid. Y'all can never put yourselves in someone else's shoes and that's the problem. You have to think about what she must have felt. Imagine it was you, chained in some hidden, dark room for days, probably starving, with nothing but your thoughts. It will hurt you to know that the love of your life was just out there living their life. She was angry AT FIRST, but quickly got over it as we saw in the episode. Like one of the reactors said, her outburst wasn't really even about Hughie, it was about herself. This episode is so good of a finale. Minus Huey getting screwed over the whole season, the season was so good. But the finale left me in tears hearing Kimiko screaming her first word. Next season will hopefully be just as intense.
Bruh honestly I admire Huey’s strength this season. We thought his girlfriend getting killed by A-Train was the worst thing to ever happen to him. Now he’s gotten superpowers that almost killed him, he’s been sexually assaulted TWICE, had to literally put his father down, his mom came back into his life and tried to take over his dad, and now he’s getting arrested and put into a fucking concentration camp! My guy is literally going down the checklist of what makes someone into a supervillain and he is choosing to not go down that path and i respect it. Huey is the Obi Wan Kenobi of The Boys. Just facing disaster, after disaster, after disaster but staying true to himself and not falling to the darkside.

And I don’t blame the actress she’s doing her best but I think it’s the writing that’s making it hard for me to like her. That or maybe it’s because she’s so different compared to other female superheroes I’ve seen over the years. It’s hard to tell. But yeah this past season has kind of made me lose hope in liking her. Her victim blaming Huey because he didn’t know a shapeshifter was a shapeshifter was the last straw for me. There’s no coming back from that. Best Episode Of Season 4 and one of the best episodes of the show. Great payoff, intensity and the ending is one of the best endings for a season of TV. This is the quality I wish we got for the whole season because they delivered here. Hope it bring all the goods for The Final Season.
