So brilliant. My husband is so anxious to help me prep these mail freebies. He is having memory issues but is so wanting to help. This video let's him see what the plan actually is. Thanks so much for sharing! All the best in 2024!!!!
Absolutely love, love, love it!!! Brilliant work. A perfect example of how focal points CAN stand out against a colourful background. Thank you for not obliterating that fabulous background with gesso as so many artists are wont to do.
Beautiful. I love how when you started it it kinda looked a bit crazy, but then the more you added to it the more fabulous it looked. I'll now be looking through all the junk mail that comes 😊
I like to tell how long the project actually took so people don't get a false sense of it....when I started and watched lots of videos the time factor got in my head and I wondered why I couldnt create as quickly.
I had to lol when I saw your pamphlet, I have been saving mine for the past 10 years and was about to send them to recycling and thought maybe just maybe, this was the year to use it. We no longer receive junk mail or circulars and all our bills are sent via internet. Even our small variety store has self-serve and accepts only debit or credit cards. I love the color combination and I must say it turned out so nice!!!!
What a beautiful piece of art work, from something that drops through my letterbox, and I usually throw in the bin…not next time I’m inspired! Thank you 😊

Absolutely love this! ❤
Thank you
As a kid I always used those colors with an occasional green or burnt orange added in! Always brought me joy ❤
Yes...a bit of additional color would change it ..just enough to build more interest. So it's the same, but different. K

Oh yes there are ways to make anything work. This is one of my signature ways
I love using household objects for mark making!
More and more I embrace "free" diy mark makers over the purchased ones. K
I love all of the yellow, which is my favorite color! It's really pretty.
I have learned along the way that every page needs a little yellow...it always improves things. Have you used Naples Yellow....I love love love it. K
I believe the teal peacock is my favorite.
Yes definitely. K
This is so beautiful Karen. Thanks for sharing, teaching, and inspiring.
Glad you enjoyed it!

It's surprising how much "junk mail' we can repurpose in our art. HAPPY CREATING.

Hi Karen, I am loving your videos but I am so stumped on how to remove a page out of the mixed medium book. I would love any help.
Heres the link to the video I made showing how I do this. Hope it helps. ruclips.net/video/IekBOs4bYIA/видео.htmlsi=NiTqer07kmUekruJ
