Oh Dear, was so excited that I'd found the solution to my issue. Turns out Google Chrome not even in my tasks! Guess I'm going to have to uninstall and reinstall. However this was an excellent video tutorial and see it worked for many, many peopel.

This only works temporarily from what I have experienced. Chrome will update it's and add the file you deleted back making chrome not usable again. You can just repeat the same fix, but it gets old.
I think this only works if the program doesn't launch at all, not the other similar issue where it crashes right after you open it. That seems to be an internet security problem.

somehow there was magically a 'chrome-new' application in the chrome folder, I clicked it and it opened chrome and my tabs are safe. idrk if other things leading up to that helped but thank you!
