is it just me or someone else seeing a microphone remained one-inch apart from cast iron pipe but closely stick with rest of PVC pipes?

Yep, distance was not consistent between systems, much farther away on the cast iron compared to the other pipes

How loud is 3” pipe in the horizontal orientation. Should I avoid going under a master bedroom if possible?

I don't understand why after you cover a pipe with an insulation wrapping it becomes louder in DB's??? That just doesn't make any sense. They should all be less in DB's.

it depends on the frequency of the sound.
