- Michael Distefano and Frankie Corrado are joined by Brian Burke to remember Johnny Gaudreau and discuss what he meant to USA Hockey and the Calgary Flames. Al’s Brother and Frankie are joined by co-host of GoJo and Golic, Mike Golic Jr, to discuss Dak Prescott and Ja’Marr Chase’s contract negotiations, and if the Chiefs could run a play drawn up by Taylor Swift this season.
Whose bright idea was the Boston Pizza ad "ice cold pints out on the patio" as the lead in to a story about 2 men killed by a drunk driver?
tone deaf
Unbelievable, like leave the adds off the show for something like this
I'm a daily cyclist 🏄♂️ 🚵♀️. I know riding a bike can be a very hairy and scary 😨 on roads. Boys till we meet again, I'm convinced on the journey of life.
Capitalism corrupts everything
Seriously, what the actual fuck. Isn't it Boston Pizza's, I mean Brad Treliving's fault that Johnny left Calgary in the first place?? 😢
This ad at the beginning is disgusting. Couldn’t have pulled that one for today?
That's what happens when a country is run by two telecom companies. They don't give a fuck about communities. They only care about their bottom line and here they are profiting off of a tragedy.
I have authored two books about NCAA hockey history and wrote about Johnny extensively in both. He was U.S. college hockey's last 80-point scorer in 2014, and I don't think we'll ever see another player surpass 80 points. The closest since then were Jack Eichel and Kyle Connor, who each only got to 71.
Burkie, who played at Providence College, understands how much Gaudreau meant to Boston College and NCAA hockey as a whole. This is a difficult day.
Will smith got 71 this year but RIP Johnny Hockey 😢
@@copperfox45Thank you for correcting me; I was going off of memory and didn't double check.
Deeply saddened for the Gaudreau family and friends, an incredible tragedy! RIP boys! 😢
I loved that skittle story which I remembered from years past.
Burke also lost his son Brendan to a drunk driver.
That's wrong. Brendan's tragic accident was the result of heavy snow.
As a player, I think JG was special in the way that he came into the offensive zone...unique really. The sudden stops, spins, backtracks all created time...1 to 3 seconds which allowed his line to follow. When he was with the Flames I am pretty sure they had set plays base on what JG did carrying the disk. JG does this then we do that.
Rip. What a king of the game absolutely amazing player.
what reminds me of john gaudreau when he was on the ice was you heard his name there should be a stat like that he was always in the play RIP
RIP Jonny and your brother!!! You will be missed.!!
Try to just imagine the devastation and the timing. They were ready to celebrate a sisters wedding and now its all gone. So very sad.
Which is why they shouldn’t have made the selfish decision to ride a bicycle on an unlit 45 mph highway after sunset.
@@user-ld6wo4rv8hSure,they get hit by a drunk and it is their fault. Give your head a shake. Obviously, you must drink and drive.
I hope this stupid drunk driver gets life in jail.
@@user-ld6wo4rv8h HOLY FACK.
@@galenklassen8634 it doesn't work like that. We don't even know if he's guilty yet. Whatever sentence he gets isn't going to bring Johnny back? Johnny and his brother made a very bad decision that night that contributed to them losing their lives.
Rlp Johnny Gaudreau #13
Johnny one of Flames best. Guts me.
Bettman needs to have "13" on Center Ice for all 32 Teams with their names-Johnny Hockey & Matthew Gaudreau
I really hope the person gets the maximum sentence, theres no acceptable excuse for this to still be happening.
he is already charged he has to go to court but he admitted he had 5 beers before getting in the car
Ya just roll from ads right into the news of 2 tragic deaths .. Don’t even report on it if this is the respect you show seriously such vultures
The Columbus Blue Jackets are cursed. Now 3 deaths surrounding the franchise in the past 20 years. RIP to all
Unfortunately this tragic accident does not surprise me. New Jersey roads are as dangerous as I’ve ever seen. Passing on a shoulder is what caused these deaths and I see dangerous illegal stunts like this every day. Our police are looking for easy tickets at speed traps and not driving on the roads in unmarked cars looking for the real bad drivers. I had a pick up truck today tailgating me at high speed while I was going the upper speed limit trying to intimidate me to get out of his way. Where are the police? This guy who killed Johnny and his brother should not have been on the road.
yeah you are too young. TBS, "don't let folks drive drunk for JOhnny" - how aboot FOR ALL OF US.
I mean thats not the point man
Stop using the term passed away
Such a tragedy

😢🙏Rip 13 🏒
I believe both Johnny and Matthew are the cloud cars of the care bears into the heaven immigration department.
Absolutely garbage respect here, Burke is drunk. Poor and disrespectful reporting when the lead reporter can barely pronounce Gaudreau properly, just don’t bother.
Even if he was drunk, who cares? He's not behind the wheel. He's grieving. We're all grieving.
@fofflol
you are not an expert. Depressant means it slows bodily functions not makes you psychologically depressed.
@fofflol
I don't understand the point you are trying to make but it certainly sounds like you just graduated from DARE class, lol.
Depressants and depression are not related in the way you are maybe attempting to show. You just listed some random info like a chatbot.
@fofflol
ok. your source is a calendar date? We got a real scientist here. What did you cherry pick that from? No mention of dose, frequency of drinking sessions, tolerance, genetics, etc. That little tidbit is very generic info and isn't really applicable to a few drinking sessions. Yes if total drunks don't drink they get irritable, get the DTs, and they actually can die from withdrawal. If a casual drinker has a few too many their next day is a normal day. It's not that profound an effect on the brain when it's isolated sessions or regular low dose drinking. Your stomach or head will hurt more than the hormones in your brain being disrupted/imbalanced. That doesn't happen to significant degree right away.
@fofflol
CNS depressant means your breathing and heart beat slows and your blood pressure usually lowers. It doesn't mean it is disrupting the hormones in your brain(depression disorder). You are making a connection that isn't there because the words look similar.
Also you are clearly a 🤖.
Let’s hit the Boston pizza patio for some drinks
I'm a Sens fan (but not a Leafs hater), and can advise the Leafs to stay the hell away from Kubalik. Hoffman, JVR, aren't the answer either in my opinion. They should probably try and snatch up a decent KHL player for a role in their bottom six. Great show boys!
