I listen to your content and you are exposing so many lies and misinformation that most so call Christians are blind to. This is why the Bible says many will believe a lie rather than the truth. Keep exposing what really is happening in the Gospel Music industry because it’s been this way for a long time. And so many Christians are deceived and don’t realize it!
Raising my kids in the 90's in church and in the Holy Bible , I bought into the "trap" of contemporary christian music. I actually heard it said many times that we needed this move to make music more appealing to the younger generation to keep them in church. It was a lie and I am sad that I believed it and myself indulged in it. I thought we were on the right track but Now my kids are lacking foundation for relationship with God. I know we gave them Gods Word too so I am praying the Lord Himself will move in their hearts and they will come back to Him.

As Someone who's worked in the secular 'industry" AND the Gospel/CCM "industry" for decades AND led Worship each weekend for going on 50 yrs now, it's HARD to tell the difference between any of it. Just talked about this very thing on another site - there HAS to be a line. Frankly, most "worship" music all sounds alike and LITTLE talks about God and focuses more on Us. Hate to admit it but almost 20 yrs ago now My former "Christian" publisher actually and literally "sold out" and They USED to be the #1 producer of Christian/Gospel Music worldwide. The REAL God-centered Leadership pretty much ALL walked away from it and now under that new leadership that very same publisher is hardly recognized anymore. Today, and here's the TRUTH, it's ALL about what SELLS. HERE'S the REALITY of the Kingdom of God - GOD LOOKS NOT AT THE TALENT, NOT AT THE SNAPPY RIFFS OR GIFTS, GOD LOOKS AT THE HEART. Many are going to be disappointed when They get to Heaven and see Who's leading Worship There because it's mostly going to be Led by People You've NEVER heard of,....but had the RIGHT Heart. "Let's get back to THE HEART OF WORSHIP" says the Lord God Almighty. $$$ = world. SOULS = KINGDOM OF GOD.

I sang in a gospel choir. Many people wanted to make me rich and famous. Whenever I was flattered about my voice, I always turned down the invitations. Now I only sing when I'm alone, I don't know if I pray while singing or if I sing while praying. The only thing I know is that I feel God's presence always and everywhere.

Even the gospel music of old ( not all ) was full of unbelief and sorrow. It was rhythm and blues with a Christian theme. Ruff Side Of The Mountain, for example, reeks of religious bondage and not the victory and freedom one receives from revelation of the true gospel of Christ.

What’s crazy is Kirk Franklin was the first time I heard church music that I fell in love with. This was when he first came out into main stream,but now,I see he was snatched up from the devil you can see it hear it in his music. He changed his love from god to himself all for money and spotlights! I guess it’s really hard to love god, the creator of life.guess it’s hard to love someone who doesn’t want anything in return but your love and respect? I’ve been watching our churches dive deeper into this entertainment decade after decades since the 80s for sure. I’m a Christian keyboardist and vocalist, and I’ve been wrestling and resisting the temptation to go for fame and fortune. But years ago when just starting out in church, I prayed to the Lord that He would shut doors before me that opened to self glorification. He has done it many many times, and I’m very happy. Unfortunately, people in church pump your head up, and encourage you to perform rather than minister and/or present a musical offering to GOD! As a former guitarist and bassist for the late Rev Timothy Wright I will say this. Often times people are not educated about the music Business. People often see the fame and say I want in and may be sincere in what they may be looking to achieve. Look at the business portion as a machine that has NO EMOTIONS-doesn't care what you believe-It's main function is to MAKE MONEY-Often times by any means necessary. Once people sign that dotted line they often find out later on what the business portion is about. I never signed that dotted line.

Hi there. So glad I found this video. I recently quit my choir. I quit for a few reasons, but one in particular was because it didn't seem as though we were really worshipping the LORD. Our choir did many of the songs by the artists you mention. I remember thinking "I just don't feel like these songs really glorify GOD. It felt like entertainment, but not like a Psalm or hymn I was used to. We weren't singing like we were glorifying GOD. The choir director was too prideful to listen to any feedback this becoming very difficult to enjoy worship and it was evident that no one really took it seriously. As I was watching this video, all of my thoughts were stirred up and it reinforced my decision to quit the choir....as well as search for another church. That is a can of worms that I won't go into, but just know it is not GODLY. I pray for my (ex) church, but am not planning to return. Thank you for enlightening us all. Praise GOD.

I have always been an independent Christian vocalist because of "the Game." Sadly, when it comes to the Christian music industry, it has nothing to do with Jesus Christ and everything with money, ego, and compromise. Back in 2001, I attended and competed in my first ever national Christian music seminar. I fared well (placed 3rd in the nation in my genre). After we returned home my manager shared with me that an executive from one the nation's largest Christian music labels approached him asking if I sang anything besides Christian music, to which my manager replied, "No she's strictly a Christian artist." The executive gave a deep sigh while shaking his head saying, "That's too bad because she'd be one hell of an R&B singer." 😳
Every chance I have to speak with starry-eyed, innocent Christian musicians/vocalists I, like you encourage them to become savvy businessmen and businesswomen. The music industry, both secular and Christian are wrought with wolves in sheep's clothing. I made the decision that I was NOT going to sell my soul to the devil for fame.

My mom put together a gospel song book many years ago of a lot of old black church songs, sung through out her 80 yrs of life.
They are soul searching God being glorified songs. They will touchand grip your soul.

I've been saying this for over 40 years. So many church people looked at me like I didn't know what I was talking! Here's my theory. If the Music your singing or listening to" does draw The presence of the Holy Ghist into where you are" than its of no spiritual value or substance. PERIOD!
I recall watching Ty’s exasperated video and my take away was that he wasn’t on the fence at all. He took a clear stand against selling out his music and ministry and ultimately his soul. I admire that about him, especially when the gospel industry has been infiltrated by secular musicians

I’ve been on the Gospel music industry/ministry for 20+ years and I tell you I’ve seen a tragic decline in the music and how it’s moved away from Christ, I’ve worked with many, big stages “, little stages … that’s why the independent artists I work with today which is not very many left I vet them, I won’t work with them if they are not Christ centered, Christ focused and Christ living.
We can love the sinner but hate the sin. If the Lord says it’s an abomination then we ALL should say abomination!! We should be speaking the truth, in a loving way but, the truth none the less!! God, the same yesterday, today, and forever more.

In other words, she doesn't want to help them do the research. Her sin is intellectual laziness, like most Christians. A better response would be to say, "I don't know. Let's pray about it and go through the Bible together." Do you do that when people ask you questions that you don't know the answer to? Because when I used to ask churched Christians questions about the Bible, my respect immediately plummeted when I saw their ignorance and laziness about reading their own "training manual." I vowed not to be that type of Christian and I'm not. I study the Bible to show myself approved by God!

I remember when I produced my first gospel show and did a radio show plug I met so many alcoholic Christians…drinking during their work. Afterwards, they party like the world. I was invited to go to a downtown party, (I declined) I heard at the party two women were dancing and kissing each other. I was real about my work…but these demons were everywhere. I called churches for cross business for invitations only and they were mean and ungodly like. I had no idea, I was a little naive then. Thank God for wisdom, I know better now-I move differently around these type of people.
I have been focusing on becoming a better musician so that I can become a better worshipper. I believe that God asked me me a specific question: "Are you worshipping Me or are you worshipping Worship?" .

@@misse1945I understand what you’re saying but there are definitely ppl who get into the industry and don’t realize what actually happens in it and they also don’t have the same amount of knowledge of God or have been hurt by the church or if God didn’t answer one of their prayers when they needed, even tho Gods timing is always right. I’m just saying that there are a lot of ppl who’s parents don’t have a relationship with God and so that probably just makes it seem like God is just an imaginary comforter ppl use. There’s plenty of povs you can look at but this is also what gives Christian’s a bad rep in terms of trying to talk to ppl about God bc some of us don’t care to try and meet ppl where they’re at even tho that’s what God does for us. Seek to understand before being understood, that’s a way you can show love as a Christian. Ppl want to be heard and not condemned.

My previous "hous of worship" was so compromising in how they conducted their services. They clicks, the attitudes of leadership....I was raised in that ministry. They were my only example of Christ but I could tell as I grew in the grace of God, that they were wrong and not growing. How could we sit in the same services and have different ways we see tbe God of the bible? I left in 2018....the pastor died 2 months after I left. His wife took over....the services became about worship to her....praying for them and the body of Christ to wake up...God is seeking those who will worship Him in spirit and in truth....

I've been singing my whole life.....& I was good. College scholarships, a couple of offers, etc. But now I won't even sing in church along with the rest of the congregation. I know there are spirits connected to music & I will NOT risk bringing in the wrong spirit to my soul. I love the old hymns, so I sing them at home to Jesus in praise & worship. He's the only One Who matters. I miss singing in church, but no one else seems to understand. They all think I'm crazy as a loon.....which I probably am, but I'd rather be safe than sorry. 💖💖💖

I went to elementary school and high school with two of the members of the music group 'Silk'. In homeroom, during my high school days, one of the group members sat directly in front of me. This was before the group became famous. He asked me if I could sing. He basically wanted me to join their group. I told him I didn't sing. These fellas sold their soul to the devil years later. I ran into those two groups members 27 years after high school at a local bar. I was shocked. I was thinking to myself what in the heck are they doing here. I noticed they had changed for the worse. Stay far away from celebrities, family or otherwise. They will blood sacrifice you to stay in the game.
