I was born and raised in Brussels. I have lived and worked in Brussels. It is my favorite place in the world. I have watched many vlogger's guides to Brussels and most of them were mediocre at best. This vlog however is exactly spot on and is the perfect guide for first-time visitors and recommends perfectly the things to see and do. Well done!!!
I’m going to Brussels in October as my first stop on a trip to Belgium and Germany. Everyone seems to give this city a miss as they believe it’s too boring so they go through it on the train between Paris and Amsterdam. If I’m honest Brussels looks more appealing to me than Amsterdam
I lived in Belgium for 7 years and used to jog at the Cinquantenaire Park every weekend :) Visiting Atomium and the nearby tourist attractions, and trying out Belgian fries with Andalouse or Samurai sauce is definitely a must!
Very lovely place I have never seen such a place in my life and I wish to go and see this place and thanks to you we can watch this place in video sitting at home.💗
I just booked a trip to Belgium in May! I was invited to attend the finals of the queen Elisabeth international violin competition!! My friend is one of the jury members and she invited me to attend. So excited! We plan to stay there for a week. We will probably attend one or 2 competition concerts. I am so happy that you mentioned Bruge. A friend of mine told me she will take us there. I am so happy you mentioned Bruge. It sounded familiar to me. I imagine it's ok to dress as I would dress in the US? Just jeans and a shirt, and a nice pair of sneakers, etc? Thank you for the video!
That's exciting! You can definitely do some day trips from Brussels as well if you have a week. Ghent is another nice city to visit! You can definitely just dress comfortably for traveling just like the US. Not sure if a concert would have a stricter dress code! Some places that are a bit more fancy do want you to dress nicely
@@worldwildhearts Thank you! Some group of friends who live in Brussels and Germany said they are taking us to Bruge and Paris. I did not expect this at all. So overjoyed 😂. Thank you for your reply! ♥️

Thanks guys for this lovely video. However, I want to make a correction about the beer tasting place. Delirium Cafe doesn’t do the beer tasting in 10 glasses. It’s Delirium village which does it.
As a local, I usually buy Leonidas chocolates... they're a bit cheaper and my family and I love the mix of delicious pralines. Neuhaus and Godiva are also pretty good, but more expensive. The pralines of Cote d'Or that you can find in the local supermarket are also delicious, but they don't have the nice presentation as the other brands with their fancy boxes
Thank you so much for your honest opinion. I am happy that I just tried Cote d'Or (pralines version with yellow cover) which was really amazing. So I consider our tastes similar to each other ahaha. Thank you so much and you have the best vlogs in Belgium. Keep going on :)@@worldwildhearts
Why would you only stay one day or half a day in Brussels and go to Ghent or Bruges ? You could stay a week in Brussels and not see everything. There are beautiful parks, museums, concerts, great restaurants, fancy clothing shops etc
Because we have family commitments, jobs, school, limited budget, there are 1000s of other places to see on our bucket lists, etc…. Think for just a few seconds before you post.
Fries are like the cheapest meal you can get in Belgium! Depending on size, maybe between 3-5€. But don’t forget to add some snacks and sauce as well 😄

Well it's worth visiting more places in Belgium than just Brussels! Many visitors just base themselves in one city or just stay in Brussels, which is a shame!
1. I find Brussels monuments way more beautiful than Bruges / Ghent facadisme: Les arcades du Cinquantenaire, the various palaces (including Royal palaces and African Museaum in Tervuren), serres royales de Laeken, monuments built by Leopold II 2. Brussels has a lower valley and upper plains part so it's easy to admire the historical center may it be from Mont des Arts, Place Poelaert or even from the Basilica where you can see the Northern district skyline 3. I don't see the point of adding Ghent and Bruges in a Brussels video. Only Bruges/ Ghent Tourism Authorities would do such a thing
We weren't sponsored by any tourism authority. But out of our own experience (and travelers we met who visited Belgium), lots of travelers only stay in Brussels and use it as a base to travel to other places as well. That's why we added that it's possible as a day trip!

I think if you manage your time well its possible! Most attractions are near each other, so you can easily walk between them. Some others, like the Atomium, will require a bit more time as you have to take public transportation to get there
That's awesome! Make sure to visit beyond Brussels as well if you're staying 4 days! Maybe a little day trip to Bruges or Ghent! It's easily accessible by train as well
Don’t go to Molenbeek, Gare du midi (south Brussels station), Rue d’Aerschot, and the north train station. The touristic center is fine, just always keep an eye on your belongings! 😄
Brussels is just as great as Amsterdam or Paris. Lots of things to do and see. Off course, there are parts of town you want to avoid, especially if you are on your own or you are a woman. Stay away from station Brussels North and South and Molenbeek. The center is pretty safe, even at night.
