I went to the first outpost with 4 guards, beat them done, stile they're AKs and Makarov handguns. Kicked them individually to wake them up, knocked them out when they drew they're sidearm to get more handgun ammo, then crept to the base, got spotted twice and dealt with it, stabbed a heavy, picked up his PKM, sprayed the 3 satellite dishes, sprayed a 2nd heavy on the way out, and ran like hell to the exfil. Got a S rank. Swear on my 9mm bullets.

I owe it to myself to try it this was.
Same here, but I discovered new styles and new things that the past me didn't knew thanks to other RUclipsrs. It felt like a walk in a park when I try doing the "new things" and it's worth it
what i don't get about snipers in games is the fact that they're supposed to be the spotters that catch you at a distance... even though they're vision is very limited as they're constantly aiming down a scope which limits vision. that's why a spotter is necessary as they have a wider view of the area. and most snipers in games just sit there alone with no spotter but still have a view of everything and spot you so easily. A sniper always needs a spotter or at least does the scouting himself. they could at least make em use binoculars for scouting and guarding and when shit hits the fan once they spot you then they grab their rifle. either that or they could add a spotter.
+sean rogers There are spotters in Phantom Pain, but the problem is that they only appear in sideOPS... usually in "Eliminate Armored Vehicle/Tank" and usually the sniper is the target in "Extract highly skilled soldier". Some times is a spotter that is there as decoration (his field of view is the same as his sniper but the sniper has more vision range) and other walk around his sniper to prevent you from attaking from behind

As the guy said, games. One thing that'll happen by adding a spotter is just an extra target to shoot before the sniper. And even when you add a spotter, well what'll happen? The spotter will identidy the target and the next second boom, detected. Even if if thats a second of difference it won't add anything, if anything adding a spotter makes the game easy. Its unnececary coding to what already is a working thing
I would have preferred to see an "on-site procurement" option in the loadout section, for every deployment. Adding these repeat missions with different conditions just felt like a cheap way to pad out the game.

So, funny thing after dying like 4-5 times or so I left it for a couple hours, came back. Decided to take the chopper inside the mission area and just started spraying with the minigun. Mission completed under 2-3 mins and never even left the chopper. Sometimes shear brute force rivals stealth.
I did this with the hand grenades found in the main building. First S Foxhound I'd gotten. I really like this mission, are there more subsistence missions later?
ngl I did this first go S rank perfect stealth when the game released but by then I was pretty skilled at the game/missions. Just did it today after not playing for years and tried to do it the same way but got caught on the way out, still S rank. Did at night. Bline to the base, mark the 2 radio guys who are coming down the road as if you are not fast they will catch you running on your way out so you need to crawl/dive to get past them if you are not fast. Go higher up near the 1st satellite, lure the guard by the window to you. Dive down quickly but quietly go in the building as a guard is sleeping , grab the grenades. Come out, go behind the wall lure the sleeping guard. Soon as he is out the way near the door lob a grenade at the coms (already have it cooked) and run back the way you came, leave hot zone on foot. Again dive/crawl if those radio guys are near. You should be fast enough for the 1st guy you lured to be still looking for you and already ran past his line of sight if he turns. If you just want S rank just grab the grenades and lob one in killing the sleeping guard not perfect stealth no kills, but much easier.
U can find granades from dark brown shack just left 50m where this guy shot launcher. Then just mark targets and wait for the sandstorm to take everything out easy and undetected.
Just gave it another playthrough, I always like to disarm the claymores and set them all up on the comm satellites, take out a guard for the makarov. sometimes i use an extra claymore in the distance for the initial distraction, just to make them all leave camp. then just tap each claymore and dip lol
i just killed the two wolves behind this outpost and put c4 on the 2 closest comm equipments then naded the farthest one. this was the easiest S for me.

I know this video is mad old but i was replaying the game and on misson 4 this misson just the pussy version of it i had blown up the radars in free roam and when i went to do the misson kaz in ocelot were like yo its... already destroyed then the misson ended lmao

You do realize that you don’t explain that you are running way faster than average right. You didn’t tell people that you’re using mobility arm three that matters a lot. Most players won’t have that and it does matter a lot because you might not realize it but enemy locations will be in different spots by the time you get there at a later time
anyone can do S rank. Idk why people think it’s so impressive. It’s so easy to get. People Usually get it on accident without trying. What matters most is the codename animal moniker you get. That’s your true rating.

This level is after you have played the main story. You will most likely have a Brennan LRS by that time, let alone mobility 3 arm
