Amazing series. Reminds me of Everyone loves Raymond. I think once everyone watches it and word of mouth . It will be nominated for a Emmy Award.

That's pretty big praise. Emmy would be huge.

It was well written. I like how the series began with Jasmeet making fun of white people for moving out and living on their own, only for him to do the same thing by the final episode.
I thought the show did a good job touching on the overall new comer experience and the way first generation and second generations of immigrants assimilate into the larger culture.
I hope next season goes more into Neals background. The father briefly mentions that his mom is white and presumably the dad is Punjabi, but you never meet either of the parents. I’m sure there is a story there to be told.
Overall, pretty good show. Will watch season 2

I'm not from Punjabi community but his "Punjabi Christmas Album" remains my fav skit by him to this day. 😆
Can't stop myself revisiting the skit every once in a while.

Neal as a character may definitely not be relatable to those who don't have mixed punjabi relatives/ aren't in mixed communities which is understandable, I personally felt that Neal as a character is special because I personally have cousins and nephews that are half punjabi half white and look incredibly white but want to identify with Punjabi culture even though they visibly look different. It's a super niche reference point but as a Punjabi American personally I found it interesting and personally relatable as someone with many mixed white passing relatives
