To make sure the surface is dry, dry dry use a new dry paintbrush from a dollar store. Wipe that around the edges and you'll find water you thought you got.

Does the #4 take off the old headlight coating? For example some of my customers the coating...the yellowing is only on the top of the headlight. I have found it takes longer when the headlight aren't that bad
So I have the old kit, but can I still use that kit and just purchase the prep spray using a backer pad and the normal sanding disc's? And what grit would be the equivalent of the #4 pad? Thanks for the new products, especially the prep spray.....
You're welcome! We know you'll really enjoy using the PREP spray. You certainly can use your kit, pads, and disks and just add in the PREP. The equivalent to the # 4 pad would be roughly 1,000-1,200 grit.
I already use your Gclear. It has been a while since I am in real estate and I do this part time. What about the over spray from your sander. I always have an issue with so much overspray on the hood and windshield. I resorted to just hand sanding the whole process.
Hey there, some overspray is to be expected however, you can easily clean the area off after finishing your repair with a damp microfiber cloth. Another option is to pop the hood during the repair or use a hood cover. Feel free to email us at sales@glasweld.com or give us a call at (541) 388-1156 and we'll be happy to help.
I’ve noticed when I apply the coating, it doesn’t level completely. It almost looks like streaks, similar to how a finish would look on a piece of furniture if you used a brush to apply it. I’m trying to figure out why it looks like that when I apply it
Products look great, it would be nice to see a up close before and after would be really effective.
This new product is very good. I just got my and it's doing wonders in Nigeria.
We're glad you're enjoying it! Feel free to leave a review of your experience at GlasWeld.com to let other people know!

Open the hood and it won't get on that.
