Case, Medical Instrument and Supply No. 3 (newer, Nylon) or the M3 Medical Supply bag (cotton duck/canvas Vietnam Era). They go for between $20-$50 for the surplus ones online
I have used a similar bag for my medical equipment here in UK, it seems to be based on the Vietnam era Medical Set Instrument and Supply carried by combat medics. The one i have is modern material, waterproof, and EMT Kelly Green, but i have others in more subdued colours.
That pack looks similar to a GI surplus medical bag I got from the Sportsman's Guide like twenty years ago. I stuffed it with all kinds of medical first aid equipment. Never thought to use it as a day pack. Thanks for the review, and helping me to consider thinking "outside the box"!

Nice Haversack, it is the Case, Medical Instrument and Supply No. 3 (newer, Nylon) or the M3 Medical Supply bag (cotton duck/canvas Vietnam Era). They go for between $20-$50 for the surplus ones online.
Nice gear. Everything works cause it's simple. Video and audio quality is great. This is a video to watch in February when I'm missing green trees and the sound of cicadas.
Was thinking of converting a couple of Polish army bags of about the same size into a pannier/haversack arrangement for foraging/plant spotting. Being able to cover extra distance on the bike while foraging and having a cook kit around would be useful. It would be a crying (and expensive) shame to use Hidden Woodsman bags as panniers but I've heard his products are getting over to the UK now, ill be keeping an eye out.
I recently subscribed to your channel and have been going back through the archives. I came across a video you did about 9 months ago titled Canteen Survival Kit. I noticed you were wearing what appears to be a British DPM Field Jacket. I have been looking for one of those for a while. I seem to only be able to find them in small and medium. Could you point me in the direction to find them in “Squatch” sizes?😂 TIA. Keep up the good work!
It’s cool but not for a $170. I’ve used my G.I. Issue one since 1980 and it was made in the 70s. The only thing I did to it was to add two compass / first aid pouches on the top flap.

Ótimo equipamento amigo 👍🏼
I’m not a fan of haversacks but I do enjoy watching videos on different sacks and load outs.
I like the design of that sack and your load out.

I don't get the haversack thing either. In the mountains or really thick bush they are a hindrance.

When using that gel stove, consider turning the cup 90 degrees. You'll get more heat on food and the wings will not get fire hot
I use woodland sustainment pouches. Work just fine
Malcolm makes some great gear for sure ! 👍👍😁. I had one of the old medic bags years ago !
Another great video!
I really like this. Mainly the pack, I have most of the gear. Great video.

Thanks for subscribing! The DPM jackets are hard to find in larger sizes. I look on eBay occasionally. May have to pay for shipping from the UK.
@@ThePreparedWanderer I have one but without the hood. The only source I found was across the pond on eBay👍 great kit
Nice pack
Polish bread bag 2 pathfinder canteens ,cups 1 stove alc. burner and lids. Unbeatable
Kind of reminds me of a large toiletry bag.

needs a wider shoulder strap
Why did he stamp US on it?
Because it looks like the old military issue gear
But the US military is 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️💉. So you support that agenda is what you are saying
