I just realized that this version of I Burn is a mix of Red Like Roses, Mirror Mirror, and From Shadows all integrated into Yang's own character song. I don't know why that melts my heart so much
They all take place before they all meet at beacon. here's why 1.) White trailer/ Weiss trailer, she gets a scar on her eye from the knight. when Ruby first meets Weiss she has the scar. 2.) Black trailer/Blake's trailer she's helping a white fang member rob a Schnee co. Cargo train. she's not a member of the white fang anymore clearly because she said so towards weiss. 3.) In yellow trailer/ Yang's trailer, Ruby was by herself at the end. couldn't possibly be episode 16, because Ruby was with Penny even until at the docks.
Another indication is when Weiss makes mention of a train robbery of Dust. It could be any train robbery, but Blake seems to know more about it than she seems...
i agree with all of those, but i still believe ruby's trailer happens afterwards. her fighting style in episode 1 was more style than actual effectiveness as opposed to her quick kills in the trailer, plus the attitude difference seems a bit too drastic.

I'd just like to point out that, if you look closely, Weiss didn't receive the scar from her fight with the armor. A close inspection of the shot where she's bleeding would reveal that the scar and the blood are both there, making its origins unknown to us still.
EpicallyLegendary So, I'd like to point out I really analyzed the White trailer, Weiss does start out with the scar at 0:16 on white trailer however at 1:15 she does not have the scar right when she is about to strike the knight. again at 1:33, and 1:37 she doesn't have the scar. Now, after she gets punched she does not bleed then. after the camera pans to the moon ( possibly time past).we see her again around 2:07 now her scar is showing along with blood dripping down her face. what this could suggest 1.) Her entire trailer is a flashback. which explains her change in fighting stronger. 2.) Monty Oum made multiple mistakes (which I find unlikely with so many close up's of weiss)

But yangs is her fighting and being her preppy self

I think that the fact that Yang's "theme" is a remix of the other three girls' is pretty iconic. After thinking about it, Yang has characteristics from all of the others; Ruby's hyper, never-ending energy, Weiss' ability to stay calm in a fight (most of the time), and her temper, and Blake's mysteriousness (well, there's a BUNCH we don't yet know about the both of them), and yet there's more to her than just that. "I'm more than meets the eye," particularly stands out to me in the song.
I've got to give you a hand, you were spot on with this prediction. I'd give an arm and a leg for that talent. But maybe you should add flare like end off in a Yang, cut loose a little, you know hand the audience some entertainment.

It's a medley of remix versions of all of the four. The I Burn remix was released as a standalone from this medley, though the other 3 weren't.
That remix of "From Shadows" has to be my favorite track in all of the RWBY OST. I'd love to hear a full or extended version sometime.
