    Building a neck-thru myself I just realised how clever it is to screw the pickups into the wings. You use a circular saw to "route" the pickupcavities first, just by going back and forth before the wings are attached. But then your pickupcavities are to wide to fasten the screws. So here the neck is really narrow. When the wings are attached, once again there will be wood for the screws of the pickup to get fastened into. Pure genius!

    • @DinoKintanar88
      @DinoKintanar88  3 года назад

      Thanks! I put dowels on the neckthrough so I can align them up back and forth before glue up, and when you put glue it stays :) I hope I'm the original of this idea I have seen it elsewhere

    • @DinoKintanar88
      @DinoKintanar88  3 года назад

      For the pick-up cavity I put them together with just the dowels then route with a router.

    Great work! A couple of questions -
    How did you drill the string through ferrels?
    Did you add a neck break angle, or is the neck slightly higher than than body to account for a zero degree angle?

    • @DinoKintanar88
      @DinoKintanar88  3 года назад

      Thank you! Drilling ferrules needs a jig there's alot of videos showing how to install hardtail bridge.
      The neck angle is straight no angles just like a fender the neck is 1/4 higher than the body. No angle. Hope that helps.
