This piece has even more of a strong meaning for the musical world. Robert passed away a few weeks ago, leaving behind this and so many other fantastic pieces. I got to conduct both "The Divine Comedy" and "Don Quixote", and those two works are my biggest projects ever accomplished in my conducting hobby. Rest easy in Paradiso, Mr. Smith. Thank you for everything.
The performers here sound kinda bad. Tuning, People sticking out of the texture, not being together, and other things. Maybe in spoiled because we played this in district honor band but whatever

Good luck getting my band to sing.
Omg, the triangle being a half beat late is driving me crazy
💀💀💀
The ascension !
i loved playing this at all region 🤞
Notice at the end, you can here the Inferno part in the Timpani
Starting for around measure 52, most of the woodwinds have crazy rhythms. What a monstrosity
honestly not that crazy, alot of runs or going back and forth between notes, and most of it is either 16th notes, or quadruplets
It's grade 5 for a reason
Learning the flute part rn (for fun) and its not the wooorrssst. Once you get the pattern, it’s pretty easy
i actually played this and it’s not so much the rhythms as it is the notes, the key changes almost every two bars
@@kylegarland8723 yeah, learning the different notes of the same rhythm is the problem
I have played this in symphonic band last year in college.
The trumpet line is similar to the opening solo from another song in “The Divine Comedy”, “The Ascension”
that timpani bass line reminds me of mars from Holst's The Planets (starting at m38)
1:45
There is an impossible low Bb in the 2nd flutes part. Bb3, the lowest with an extension is B3.
bass flute
The Bb in the flutes is actually when the players are singing. I could see the confusion, though.
@@samach58 No very expensive this could be easily covered on alto flute
It is when they are singing
Overly Sarcastic Productions brought me here
Hi
FloppityFloppify hello
This song looks like a Grade 1 for Trumpets and Trombones
Rhythm are too hard 😢
It’s a grade 5 💀
All 4 pieces are a 6
Some people can just cook up actual quality work
Jesus Christ is the only way to God
Amen

Maybe you guys were the ones out of sync 😳
If you look at the very beginning you can hear that the triangle comes in a half beat late, it’s insane
@@aspen1192 drives me crazy every time I hear it
