❤️❤️ have you been already? Btw if you’re interested I also have a channel with vlogs from London and other places where I travel. Feel free to check it out❤️🙌🏻
@@VASIGTravelingLifeinLondon thank you
I’ve always fancied going to Dubrovnik
Mainly because I’m a massive game of thrones geek 😂
Imagine actually being able to walk round kings landing!
Yeah hope to do so in 2021🙏👍
I’ve been exactly to the island where they shot it and it’s really stunning 😍 even though I’m not a fan of game of thrones, I totally loved it! Btw if you’re interested I also have a channel with vlogs from London and other places where I travel. Feel free to check it out❤️🙌🏻
Loved Dubrovnik but felt the same way about the tourists! There were so many and even more on days cruise ships came in!
There were so many when I went!
That's true...
I always laugh when tourists moan that there’s to many tourists 😂
@@123boat is there something wrong with me wanting to enjoy an awesome city as a tourist without other tourists 🙃
@@JakeMillerDoesTravel Absolutely not but I’d suggest going there in January if you want to avoid the crowds 🤔
Now I want some chicken. Oh and that video with the devolved man was hilarious lmao
What an incredible adventure this must've been. Loving this series, even if I'm a bit late to the party.
As a self employed tour guide, I love tourists! 😃
Great video, Croatia is one of the most beautiful countries for sure! 🇭🇷👍
Wow beautiful! Thank you for sharing! Now there are no tourists - wish we could travel again!
Thank you, you two are so funny and we really need the laughter right now. Love Croatia, would love to do a slower trip through there next time, it is really beautiful. As for tourists, I'm usually just ignoring them and go on about my wandering. Take care you two.
I'm Croatian and Slovenian, and our first trip there in May we went to the more touristy places like Dubrovnik and Split, which was lucky as there were tourists and it was busy, but not like the summer months! And then we went back the following year and loved going to quieter places and off the beaten track roads. If you ever go back to Croatia or Slovenia, I can tell you a lot of great spots to check out. Less tourists, cheaper but GOOD food. But you have to remember, Croatia is a country that thrives from tourism and they need it.
Hi guys. Best of the series so far. Not the location which was stunning, but your insight about developing narrative, expanding vocabulary and the like. Also, your insight about saying goodbyes along your journey. Great stuff.
It took three weeks, but I finally spotted that during the "today" segments throughout this series (4 episodes already), you're mostly wearing the same jackets. Outstanding! That gives such continuity to the entire series.
Brilliant video. Got the ‘feel good factor’ 👍😎
I’ve just started binge watching all these videos where you look back from the beginning. I’m loving hearing your perspectives and seeing all the footage. So fun! -Jenn
I did just two things - like and comment. My thumb up was sincere; you guys are hilarious; this was one of the best videos I've watched lately. :)
OMG Love you guys 😍 you always make me chuckle out loud. Thumbs up for Travel Bean's 👍
OMG this series is so fun. Thanks for sharing.
I've hiked up that hill in Dubrovnik! It was worth it for the view and to avoid spending about 18 euros on the cable car hahaha. We also stayed in an house in front of Sveti Jakov beach (beautiful beach btw and away from the tourist crowds) and the sunset from the balcony was one of the best sunsets I've ever seen as well 😍
Haha that’s the kind of stuff I’d do, anything to save $20 USD
I do enjoy watching you guys, really. and its been quiet a while since my lasts...your vids back here in el nido Phils!..keep it up!
Going through yrs of videos to current, Emma sounds and acts the same and alex has evolved alot. Great video, keep safe guys n hopefully things get back to normal n maybe do a collaboration again with th endless adventure for old time sake
I've been to Dubrovnik years ago before the war. It was beautiful and cheap, but rather good food. Also went to the island off shore not to far away. Dovencha. My friends the walking town wall tour was fun also. Thanks for bringing back memories to me.
Thanks for bringing us along down memory lane. Beautiful!
Hahaha. "Not enough tourists" I always feel guilty about wanting there to be fewer tourists. 😂😂
Same!
🤣😉
The Neanderthal man...wearing the wrist watch. :) This series is so much fun. Thank you for putting it together. I hope lockdown isn't too bad for you. I'm back on lockdown in Italy.
We love you guys. So very glad you choose to share your story with us. Every video is a fun adventure for us. Thank you for what you do.
You guys are crazy, funny and fun to watch....you're a breath of fresh air!!
I visited Dubrovnik early May in 1986! It was then part of Yugoslavia and there were hardly any tourists and it was wonderful. I have to agree that too many tourists do spoil places. I’d much rather visit places where there are mainly locals.
I'm enjoying your memory lane, thanks! Booking off season or odd tour days/times to avoid crowds can be so rewarding. Great to have areas to yourself if paced right. Flip side is you can miss out because days and hours of operation are limited. Choose your battles wisely!
This brings back memories for me. I escorted cruise shore excursions to Lake Bled Old town dubrovnik and scenic boat tours and cable car.
You guys are fun-first the guy spitting oysters in Cro and then neanderthal one in Slovenian woods(I mean, where did you get that outfit??haha) . Beautiful places&scenery!
We always complain about the tourists and we know we are the worst because we work in tourism for many years but sometimes they just ruin your idea for a perfect shot! 😅 We love your channel!!
This series is so much fun, brilliant idea guys, we are smiling and laughing along with you two! ~Cara
Also, CONGRATULATIONS ON 90K!!! 😍🎊🍾
Wonderful video. Nice creation. Great work friends. Thank you.
😂😂😂😂😂 Brilliant You both had so much Alex you make a Great model. Love the makeup 😜
I spent two weeks driving around Croatia. It was all beautiful, particularly the lakes and walking up into the Velebite Mountains. Split, Rovinj, Zadar and Motuvan were brilliant. But I found the friendliest town was the non-tourist town of Karlovac.
I've often read about how crowded Dubrovnik is, especially after Game of Thrones. Wonder if it is like what we found staying in Vernazza in the Cinque Terre? We'd heard about terrible crowds - in the mornings and evenings, hardly anyone there and it was so lovely it was worth figuring out how to avoid the crowds during the day.
Brilliant. Never cringe worthy. So glad you kept this. Always include the so called bloopers😂
Such a cute video! You had me smiling countless times throughout it. I’m one of those tourists for sure that don’t like other tourists. I always want to feel like a local; however, with my Texas slang and very American behaviors, I’m sure people can definitely tell I’m a tourist.
9:45 This is defenitly not a deerwolfman , its the famous manbearpig.
Love watching you two ❤
You make me laugh 😆
Of course i complain about tourists, who doesn't 😂 Dubrovnik is probably best to visit in winter. Love the series 👍
But weather is mostly windy and rainy even in Dubrovnik in winter so I would still prefer spring and fall
Would love to have friends like you.😊
Your channel is something I always look forward to!
Sending much love from the Philippines. ❤️
I know about tourist, but the funny thing is that right now a lot of friends who were complaining about tourist in their cities are now complaining about the opposite because of the virus. And I know that it is not the case you are talking about tourist complaining about other tourist, but now it is very different. And my friends went through a very harsh time. 😞
Se cuidan chicos. Adiós 🤗
Lovely!!
Should have gone back to Dubrovnik in 2020! We were there in November and there were probably three other tourists in the whole city.
beautiful
Hello Friends, I gave this video (and all I watch) a like 😁😎 Beeeeaaaaanssss Out!! 😆😆
loving this series!!!! hang in there! we'll be out of this pandemic soon. Get your vaccines (me too!) and come back to the US/Colorado and I'm ready for a Beans Group Trip too!!!!!! (Seriously, will be happy to be your free guide in Colorado someday!)
Hah, the conundrum of wanting touristless spots while being a tourist yourself....
For me, I have accepted along the way that if I want to visit "touristy places", there will be loads of tourists, myself included.
Take Ephesus for exemple in Turkey. I knew what to expect crowd wise , and I know I was part of that crowd so it didn't dim my satisfaction, was fine with it.
However when I (as a tourist) go wandering around to non touristy places, suddenly other tourists annoy me!
Edit to add: Actually, the only place I have seen a wild bear was in Croatia, when I was driving from Rijeka towards the slovenian border... a big brown bear was in the middle of the road
As for crossing pathes with friends... that's what travel is all about: crossing pathes. Make fond memories, but make no commitment... I can tell you I have seen over and over again a few people met through my travels i partaked with, by happenstance or through social medias... I have a surrogate family in Mexico for about 30 years now that I can count on and reciproquely... and some others will be good memories, or suddenly they will pop on for a stay again in your life...it's all positive stuff anyway
awesome...love your vlogs...keep it up
Welcome to my homeland ❤️🇭🇷🇭🇷
Moja Hrvatska 🇭🇷🤗
Awww, where are you from exactly?

Slightly freaky in the fact just this morning my girlfriend and I were contemplating a road trip to Croatia next year. 🤯
Hahaha she can read your mind! Btw if you’re interested I also have a channel with vlogs from London and other places where I travel. Feel free to check it out❤️🙌🏻
I went on a cruise in 1967 when it was Jougoslavia. Dubrovnik a very nice place. Shame it was only a short visit.
Hmm.... I just watched your clip on Lake Garda...listened to your future plans...and wondered have you considered the waterfalls in Plitvice, Croatia? Maybe you have done that and I missed it?
Good friends 🥂🥂🤣🤣👍
Need to do dubrovnik just the touristyness puts me off a little
I think yous where cool back then as now 👌
Funny you did the Neanderthal segment in Croatia which has one of the best and largest Neanderthal sites and museums in the world in a town called Krapina not far from the Plivice lakes which is one of the most beautiful sites in the world. As for complaining about tourists its a waste of time as all popular places have tourists for a reason
Many years ago, during the cold war (1980's) an uncle of mine visited Dubrovnik. No tourists then. He always said it was one of the most beautiful towns he'd ever seen.
oh you guys ares such cuties
You are both so lovely.
Shame you didn't get to Montenegro you would have liked it. Motor bay, Perast, Tivat etc
I don't complain about tourists (after all, I'm one myself 😊) but I don't like crowded touristy places. I plan my visits during off season if possible.
I love Rochdale, Lancs....not too many tourists
Where did you park the car and sleep?
Love you bro
Some women look beautiful without any makeup at all. Emma is one of them.
Alex on the other side...

😍😍😍
👍
I had no idea Slovenia was the Switzerland of.....Slovakia?
??
I LOVE raw oysters but let's be honest: the most brave bastard ever was the first person to eat an oyster. "Look at this flat ugly rock. Wait. There's mucus in it. Can we eat that?"
I try not to complain about the tourist, instead I just complain about too much people period 😉
My wife and I also try to avoid the tourists when we travel; especially the busloads of Chinese daytrippers. When we're in Europe we (as Americans) try to pass ourselves off as locals so that we don't look like our fellow tourists. No short pants, no t-shirts with slogans, no American flags on our bags, and no baseball cap. But we kind of give it away when we walk out of our hotel with cameras around our necks and guide books in hand. The minute you walk up to an old castle or snap a selfie in front of a statue you're proving you're not a local.
But right now, after a year of isolation, I'm ready to join a queue of a thousand elderly cruise passengers waiting to get into the Hofbrauhaus or eat at Covent Garden or tour some ex-prince's palace. So sick of eating hot dogs and not getting any Currywurst or Bratwurst. I'd even settle for a full English breakfast at this point.
Scams and fraud plagued my trip in Split & Dubrovnik. But, it is a beautiful place ...
What happened
@@danbet7710 Our AirBnb swindled us out of over 100 Euros and was trying to get more by claiming fake accusations. I have stayed in over 200 Airbnb rentals so this was odd but apparently common in Split. Then another time a waiter tried hiking up the price while we sat and eat near the Riva ... The greedy rip off tendencies were to hard to ignore in Croatia.
@@Waves-Days-Ten How did they swindle you , did you not pay online? Some individual waiters will try it if you are dealing in cash and you don't ask for a receipt and then pocket difference but if you pick this up report them
Yes. Complained about the amount of people in Prague last Christmas on our independent tour of Central Europe. Guilty as charged 😕
Still love you lol
Is van life illegal there
There never are enough tourists for my liking. Always a problem.
It is Ragusa not Dubrovnik, it is Dalmatia not Croatia.

Hi Lorenzo! Good to see you're back. How was the time at the institute? Good thing they released you, but do not forget to take your medicine. Psychotropic drugs can really work wonders!
