Always fun to get to that moment when something suddenly starts working, even if you have to abandon the original plan. On the topic of working in the DAW (go Reaper gang!) you might like Inphonik RX1200. It's a plugin emulation of the E-mu SP-1200 sampler and it's a really lightweight, simple sample player that I've been absolutely loving. It's got some old school sampler crunch built in, which gives everything a bit of vibe. You can drag in samples from your OS, from your DAW, from Komplete Kontrol, Maschine (plugin or standalone) or like anywhere else. It's my new favorite thing for sequencing samples via midi, and it sounds great with the $5 sample pack. 😉
I love maschine mk3 and your videos Gabe 🎶😎
Hit events with your drum group selected, then at the top above the screens press select and the pad you want to adjust. It selects all of the notes of that pad in the pattern and you can immediately adjust their positioning with the knobs like you did near the beginning with the drums.
the more i learn maschine the more it becomes limiting. terrible mixing abilities, lack of abletone's "freezing" feature, terrible automation. BUT maschine still my go-to tool in bound with abletone! I just use it as VST and route vst midi to host and use it as an controller of ableton. for me it's perfect match
Usually, I come to you after I get gear... but this is the first time I had a Maschine before you... and thank god, you are showing your whole process... I thrive on vids like this, where EVERYTHING is shown.
I love your videos. Hope you get into more techno and house.
Thanks! Techno isn't my strong suit but I have tinkered with minimal techno and house from time to time
Where do you get your temporary hair dye anyway?
Amazon, it's a "hair wax". I also tried hair spray in the past, which was good but really messy
Which window laptop r u using?
Gabe...you're like a sweet little guy
making brutal Hell music. Its funny !
I Love it !!!
🥇🏆🎉
Please stop with the smirk mouth thumbnails. It's so tired.
Crazy man, absolutely DOPE,. I wish I could handle my Maschine like you do yours, great stuff man !! ✊🏼🙏🏻🔥🔥🔥
The NICE tutorial, man! I hope, you do a couple more videos like this! Very cool sound and really great stuff!!!
Looks like you’re using maschine as the audio interface in this video? I’m torn between getting a new interface or just using maschine . Thoughts?
If you've already got one, it's probably worth at least trying. I didn't use it to record anything, just to monitor, but it worked well for that
Hey Gabe, have you ever did any reviews on the Roland TR-6s?
I haven't had a chance to try them unfortunately
@@GabeMillerMusicoh, ok. 😊
Nice
Would you consider doing a video about Infiltrator 2 and how you use it? Based on what you're doing here, it seems like it would be very handy for me but I'm just not sure how I'd use it.
I definitely want to do that eventually! Although to be fair, the main way I use it is the stack presets + resample process I used here. I also often automate the mix parameter for bass growls or fills.
@@GabeMillerMusic I'd still say that alone is worth doing, some of us aren't well versed in sound design so a simple technique like that exhibited in different scenarios might be handy for people across genre interests
Mic is a bit hot
Yeah I'll back off on it for the future
@@GabeMillerMusic Def just want the best for you. I love what you do...
