  • @johannjohann6523
    @johannjohann6523 Год назад +2

    Certainly the "labor" is the largest expense when having the needed maintenance done at a shop or dealership. But, a "really good" mechanic who may seem expensive with his labor costs at first, if worth his salt, makes up with the labor charge due to his expertise and ability to get the job done quickly not just correctly - the 1st time! No "do-overs". But when there is a "mark up" on parts over their "normal" price to make them "seem special" because they are expensive but are not actually special - well........

  • @humanze
    @humanze Год назад +3

    Wow! $3300 is so cheap. Ok I could do it myself, but I'd rather have an independent specialist do it for that price. I think it's because the Cali is not your typical Ferrari. It was made to be reliable, easier to service, and potentially a daily driver for those that can afford it. It's the only Ferrari in my wheelhouse (but I love all Ferrari's😂)

    Really maintenance cost should not be as much as they are just because it's a Ferrari,I mean I understand parts are more expensive but labour should be no more than a normal car as a brake system whether it's some exotic or not is not that different

    • @Chris_Graham

      I’m guessing there are a lot less certified Ferrari Mechanics than there are general mechanics, therefore their expertise is valued higher. And when it comes to selling your Ferrari, a new buyer would want prior work to have been done by a certified Ferrari mechanic instead of the local Jiffy Lube

    You haven’t even got to the expensive stuff yet. There’s lots of repairs in your future: motor mounts, ceramic wheel bearings,sticky buttons, convertible top failure etc. Its even worse if you have a Hele car. The build quality of a Ferrari is horrible. Before you ask, yes I’ve owned them and currently own one so this is first hand experience. I’m attaching a link to another you tube video that explains Ferrari ownership.

      I’ve owned both… viper was much more fun to drive. Vipers are super rare too! I see more ferraris than vipers. But even with a cheaper ferrari, ferraris get more clout and attention from “non car people”. Viper is very rare. Ferrari is more refined and elegant
