there’s been items that do this on the market since before they ever even started putting that pass through strap on back packs. $40 bucks is quite a lot for what a regular belt, bungee cord or other strap can do.

Looks interesting. My favorite duffel does not have a trolley sleeve so I use one of the hanging belt things you can attach to the handle of your luggage and then to its handle. The problem with doing that is it almost touches the floor since carry on luggage isn't real high and the handle on the duffel is kind of long and it tends to sort of flop around to the side sometimes.
This would be perfect for that then!

I have 2 of the totes! They are a bit large for a personal item, but it seems like people can get away with it!

My husband: I want to use my carhartt backpack for my personal item.
Me: you can’t because it doesn’t have a trolley pocket/strap
My husband: I will wear it the entire time, no need for a trolley pocket/strap.
Me: But you always trolley your personal item on top of your suitcase, even if it is a backpack. You will not be happy wearing it the entire time.
My husband: I don’t care, I want to use THIS backpack.

Hi, would this work with the level 8, wide handle voyageur carry on? The handle is too wide for a trolley sleeve but I'm thinking this could work 😊
I dont have the voyageur yet, so I can't test it. The belt has a little elastic slip area to put the handle through. Im sure the wide handle wont fit in it, but you can still secure it on the regular way, for sure!
I’ve been looking at one recently but here is my big question… when you board the plane how long does it take to undo it. And if it’s attached over the handle how long does it take to move that off. I fear it’d take extra time. But I guess if you just belt it around and not over the trollysleeve ?
It’s insanely easy and quick. The part around the trolley sleeve is elastic. And the other part unfastens like a seat belt.
This past trip, I had a backpack with a trolley sleeve and it didn’t fit well around the handle, and I wish I would’ve brought my travel belt instead !!

Does this belt work with the Level 8 Voyageur luggage?
It will, but the stretchy band won’t fit over it. I feel like they will have a wider handle one soon!
How is it different from a usual travel belt? I think that's pretty common - why is it special?
I actually haven’t seen a travel belt similar to this one before. It wraps around your luggage handle and then secures the personal item in place with a very strong buckle. It’s great when you don’t have a trolley sleeve on your personal item. I’ve tested it for the last several months now and even if my bag falls over, my personal item still won’t fall off.
