    I like your style. Couple of guys in a boat jigging eyes. No fancy electronics or planers on a 90 thousand dollar boat. Just simple fishing, having a blast yanking limits.

      Exactly!! This is fishing. Technology has ruined most anglers

    It doesn't get any better than that. I got my personal best walleye in the north gap a couple days ago. 31" 8.5 lbs. We have something special here on Erie. Thanks for showcasing it.

      gettosurfer i,m hoping the bigger eyes start biting when the temps rise a few more degrees - like to break the 10lb mark

    What a simple way to fish walleye. I love it man. I worry so damn much about complex rigs, that being able to catch fish like this is a relief.

    wonderfully fun to watch you guys catch these eyes.... well done. I will be trying just a jig and crawler for sure. keep the videos coming. Also some lake depth info , what lb line info would be awesome.

    I only ever went walleye fishing once. We were on Lake Erie too but we were trolling. It sucked. Sometimes we could even tell if we had a fish on because all the rods where bent and we couldn't even feel them fight because of the boards the charter boat captain had on.

    • @BillMikesAnglingAdventures
      @BillMikesAnglingAdventures  8 лет назад

      i dont care much for trolling walleye either but they put up a decent fight on light tackle jigging

    Thanks bud, (sorry not sure how to directly reply). Though, it is lookin like I'm gonna miss out on em. Arm is still killin me, got a Dr apt for it Thursday, and the Lake Erie water temps are already 57°. The Walleyes will begin moving deeper very soon. I just hope the entire season isn't messed up for me.
    On another note, I do fly fish as well and tie my own flies, which I also tie jigs as well. If you ever need or want a few, you have only but to ask and I'd be happy to tie some for ya.

    Very nice job, my friend. Haven't gone out much for walleyes this year, battling a bout of tendonitis in my left arm (casting arm, of course). My cousin and I have been hitting the big Smallies in and around the harbor, cuz landed a nice 28" post-spawn walleye right off the South Gap on a Hot N Tot.

    I use a wilderness systems ride 115. I've got it totally rigged out to fish.i purchased at oak orchard kayak in waterport. They are great people and have a huge assortment to choose from. They also will let you try before you buy which is a big benefit. I plan to use mine shortly in the tribs to avoid the crowds during the salmon run.

    What are you blurring in the background?

  • @tombtot86
    @tombtot86 9 лет назад

    I prefer a sit on top bc they are self bailing.(no need to worry about getting swamped)My kayak is extremely stabile. I have the ability to stand and sight cast when I need to.I've been a couple miles out into the lake with no worries. I bought mine bc of all those features. Wilderness makes a ride 115 and a 135. The 135 would be better suited for larger bodies of water. The 115 is a nice mix the shorter length makes it little more maneuverable in tight spots.(creeks)

    Hey bill
    Question for you- how many feet of water are you in out there? What is the current like? How far out from the harbor? Are you catching the river current? Was thinking about using the kayak either there or inside the windmills, which I know is safer but just curious! Thx tom

      +Tom Btot the water depth in that area ranges from maybe 17 ft - up to 28 with a decent current .
      it dosnt matter where you get out for the walleye theyre thick everywhere the past couple years - they were even getting limits at the foot of ferry believe it or not
