I have two main reasons I resist information counter to what I think. The first is that I simply want to believe something and anything that counters that belief automatically triggers my defenses and makes it difficult to truly listen. The second reason is if I've invested too much time pursuing what I want to be true. It's very hard to let go of a belief after you've unwittingly spent years convincing yourself that it's true through bad science and biased opinions. I make it a point to listen to opposing views twice or more until what they're saying sinks in. I will change my views if it turns out the opposing information holds water. I might not like it every time, but the truth is the truth. Facts are facts.

Creativity is actually a learning layer that's linked to processing/memory, if you have a learning disability, creativity will most likely be limited.
It's possible to reverse a learning disability, I don't know many others that have that would share their experience, but when you can finally access the disconnected layers, your mind synchronizes in a very special way, creativity is only limited by time and energy.
In the arts and other professions where exploring new stuff is important creativity is of relevance. Creativity is all about being spontanious meaning being open to the unconscious. It is true that drugs or even alcohol (which is also a drug(!!)) can play a part in that. For instance in popular music lots of drugs and alcohol use has being going on through the years. When you want to be a rocker you need to live the life of a rocker has lots to do with that..
I think in part doing crazy stuff will inspire a person so that can be helpful for creative people. Stuff like LSD is such crazy stuff but stuff like spontaniously going on a short trip would be a similar boost for creativity. I think folks should study creativity first before starting doing all sorts of potentially dangerous stuff..
Creativity can be a sort of meta-tool where you think of entire plausible, logical theories or songs or paintings. I definitely think like that. I noticed it in grad school that people tended to get locked into their views. So taking a spontaneous trip down a road in or out of the mind seems to be conducive to creativity. Very interesting 🤔 ❤

Use the left hand to improve the functioning of right brain and thereby developing creativity. Allow the child to use left hand for writing.
Seems like writing mechanics and grammar would stop creativity 🤔 Perhaps the slapping of uncreative textbooks, actuarial tables, pencil holders, and the like with the left hand would be more helpful?
Sometimes I get some strange with the other hand... and yes, I can get pretty creative with what I'm thinking about before I bust that nut.

All the traits that are mental come from the mental. I know there is emergence but nobody exacly knows what it is. But mentan is something dixfferent that brain cell. There is a gap, not only in understanding but in actuality how things are done . Brain and the mind are two different things
People say “everyone is creative” but it’s absolutely not true if you are speaking about true reinterpretive harmonious high-level creativity. Anyone can introduce chaos, or new colors randomly, or spill milk. But we have actual measures of creativity which get at the real fountain of it. Seeing symbolic unity behind practical things, for example. Higher meaning attached to practical things. If you are high in psychological trait “openness” -which is definitely not everyone-you are more likely to be like this. If you are a truly creative and highly intelligent person-which is extremely rare because these are statistically normally-distributed traits and we’re talking about 2 of them-being an outlier on 2 of them together. They are correlated but still. It’s rare to be motivated by the underlying connections between things. For example, between the classes in school growing up there are no grades for making connections between classes or spending time integrating between them. When this is extremely important for making new, comprehensive interpretations and ideas which fit with what we already know or to see paradoxical patterns between the areas of knowledge. I’m extremely creative in this way. It’s an anomaly so it’s extremely difficult for me to use my gifts or help others with them. Certainly they don’t help me. I long ago realized that this ability is meant to interface with humanity. I nearly flunked every grade doing this stuff growing up until college (on probation because of high test scores) where I began to learn to study and get good grades. But I couldn’t communicate with my peers very well and it caused anger and problems when I offered alternative explanations. So it’s upsetting when people say “everyone is creative” because they absolutely are not. And it’s like a prejudice against people who are because it further buries them to us. And their pain. If you say something like “everyone creates their own life” that would be better. But really you should say makes their lives by choices other people wouldn’t necessarily make or something. Most people have not even begun to tap into their creative potential if they have it. And those who do are ignored mostly because they are not “practical” or useful right now. Thats another hallmark -transcendence of space and time with mind and meaning. Larger patterns. If you are high in agreeableness and selflessness then that part becomes supercharged (the idea of sacrifice) so there’s another normally-distributed trait that comes into play. These 3 together mean the highest most transcendent creativity that changes whole worlds. ❤

Imagination was the true kickstarter in getting man off ground and into the sky soaring like the birds; perhaps before that was the seed planted in mans mind by the birds in sky acting as the impetus - sometimes, even when faced with great adversity, all we need is the example that it can be achieved; just show me it can be done.
Many denigrate the imagination, even intuition - with a disciplined mind, by intellect guided in reason the imagination can become a light into the unknown.
Concerning mythology, there's a good book: a dictionary of the sacred language of all scriptures and myth, g.a gaskel.
From fables, mythology, literary works, metaphors, parabels, similies, aphorisms. maxims, adages, fairy tales, poems, these all hold subtle truths at the core. Truths that are not visible under midrodcope and only are they in the minds eye. Mythology doesn't mean made up phantasmal creative thinking; myths, all genuine ones at least, hold transcedeantal truths. Fables of Plato transcendental truths; literary works psychology, experiences, cycles, realizations; parabels life lessons and teachings etc.
To say this stuff isn't science is preposterous and is a way to mimimize the value of it. All this is antecedent to teleology. I myself like to understand or seek what the essence of intellect and what this Reason thing that is universal, what is it i ask? Intellect and reason, these aren't properties of the brain; we see it in everything, it's universal - doesn't matter what you are or who you are, it's everywhere and nowhere.
Garden of eden, and the bible in general, has multiple layers in interpretation. Adam and eve - left and right hemisphere. Adam: intellect and physical; Eve: spirit and emotion. Eve was made from Adam - splitting of an atom there is now two atoms. And there's more.
Persons today act like they're superior because of computers. Not even close. All was already acknowledged long ago. They already knew. They new about atoms, light, aether, psyche, nature of man, nature of universe of theology.

Your physical brain is no different than a computer with programmed functions or processes and, so, its creativity is just a fairy tale... being driven by a program is not what being creative means...
It is the free immortal soul that is creative because it is a free split of the Holy Spirit who is the Almighty Creator... and because our free immortal souls are free splits of the CREATOR, we all are capable of creating and, so, we are all CREATIVE...
"neuroscience of creativity" is an oxymoron because our souls have NO nerves...
... however, you can ruin your creativity by choice, ie. "by choosing to believe that you are not in control because free will does not exist, God is a myth, just driven by Darwin's Natural Evolution where nature is the one making the choices for you in advance, feeling not free"...
... so, all you are doing now is just wait for what nature spoon feed you with pre-made choices that never comes... you become not just unproductive but also feels UNACCOUNTABLE, Depressed and BORED that drives you to do evil deeds to often end in jail, hospital, or cemetery, then finally hell... this is why atheists are crowding in prisons.. so sad lives...
Belief in a loving God means knowing you have FREE WILL which is the power necessary to be CREATIVE without which you are nothing but a robotic vegetable...
