I honestly can't overstate how much joy your videos bring. There's a lot of crazy shit happening in the world right now, shit that are absurd beyond comprehension and infuriates my rational sensibilities so much it often pushes me down into these intense episodes of depression. But then I watch your video, and am reminded that there are still beautiful things in the world left to see, and seeing them in your videos make me feel like I've experienced them too. Thank you.
All your dogs that have been featured on this channel so far were beyond committed, which says a lot about their lordling. And then, on top of that, there's the art... I wish I had the budget to support you appropriately, thank you for all these inspirational videos, Borut. 🙏
Excellent video. That first flower image is particularly nice. The dedication required to haul around ultralarge format equipment, make your own plates, and wrestle with depth of field and shutter speed issues deserves respect. Shooting 4x5 with pre-cut sheets is work enough!
You are the most unique large format analog photographer that I have ever seen. As a large and ultra large format photographer of 30+ years, I deeply enjoy your work and your video stories are something that I look forward to every week. Keep up the great work and continue to create on your own terms.
I am a new subscriber here, and I have been watching your videos for three days now consecutively. You are a huge inspiration. I wanted to do photography for the longest time, but I didn't have the means to buy a camera (a dslr for now). Somebody borrowed me a Canon EOS 1300D, and I have been using that, as an amateur, plus some light editing afterwards, but not even with photoshop/lightroom. So far I am just finding more and more courage to delve myself into learning about light, and also the ever-present moment one encounters while making art with it. I am delighted to see this New Earth project, or this home-searching one -- the contrast between such a strong-handed, powerful and dynamic man like you and the delicate flowers is beautiful.
My wife and I watched this with great interest during which my wife commented, it is like a ritual, the preparation, the method. So it was interesting to see you use these words in your title. Thank you for the inspiration, oh and I love your dog.
@@BorutPeterlinPhotography You do it quite well Borut. The photography is only a bonus; a harmonious part of the whole. Greetings from the Pacific NW, USA.
Great work Borut - the tonal range in the glass plates is amazing - you look at one with yourself with your best friend and surrounding nature Stay Safe
Beautiful video! -I must admit to enjoying the tripod-wrestling sequence. Glad it's not just me who puffs and grunts while trying not to drop an absurdly large camera! (I swear more though).
Video, atmosphere, soundtrack and of course photography are topshit!!!since you bought this house videos improved to highest contemplation level! I think about your inner soul, how strength it should be to make A LOT of work to produce this content. God bless you! Deep bow from Russia 🙌
nice video, and talk about committed ( not as in 'funny' or 'nuts'), but to set up such a run down shack like that hours before sunset, in such a cold place; but nice camera, just wished you had shown us the plate holder, and how it goes into the camera, and setting the camera up, but one tip, DON'T level the legs with a camera that heavy on top, take the camera off first!!, then you CAN'T drop it, or the lens!!! ( and having the weight off the legs makes shifting the locks easier too).
Wonderful video Borut, a truly uplifting and inspiring start to my weekend watching it early this morning. Thank you as always for your hard work documenting your adventures and art creation. I really love your new project and look forward to the end result - a book perhaps!?
Fantastic! ispira un pochino di bonaria invidia. Now we also want a vlog where you describe difficultyes of wet plate collodion process at -18 degree, and how solve
Great and epic video as always! At 9:00 I noticed this very flimsy unstable camera construction, this can be improved. It's not a tripod issue I think.
Well, the concept of this camera is to be as light as possible. It's firm enough, but of course it's always a compromise. I prefer to have it lighter then sturdier, since I primarily work outdoor.
Oh, I can get it better. If I wouldn't loose so much developer during pouring of developer, I would have much greater density. But for carbon printing it's sufficient. If I would want to print it as an albumen or salt print, I would redevelop it. Thx for the support, my friend!
It is good to be able to see through your eyes, your creative process seems very meditative and while the forest location is beautiful I am sure you could find and record the aesthetic value of any location or object.
You know it, but the all black colour confused you, just like it confused me. So imagine that there is all black version of this breed and you will guess correctly.

Thank you. In these times we need more peace, not more information.
This is an exceptional work delivering true art in every aspect. No more words needed. Congratulations and thank you for sharing.
that single flower is FIRE
love it!

Contemplative, peaceful and inspiring. Also outstanding
Man, you really are something else. Hauling that much gear, in the arctic winter, and producing such lovely works of art. Respect to you.
I'm already working on an idea to do it without the car. To go on wetplate expedition without the car, just walking.
Arctic winter in Slovenia? Well it doesn't need to be -35 to be chilly in a summerhouse.

I take it I can still buy your book without issue now the UK is outside of Europe?
Loved this video with how you created your photos. Definitely one of my favourite videos
Pure serenity! Pure inspiration! Pure joy to watch!
Cabin, nature, dog and art= Beautiful!
Thoroughly captivated. Enjoyed that immensely.
I'm very happy to hear that. The main purpose is to spread the feeling of peacefulness, not so much photography.

Borut! You are a genius!
I like your project, and who hasn't broken up long relationship. But I've also liked your photos from this project.
Nice work - Epic production. Love it.
Really enjoyed this Borut. And such a beautiful space. I cannot wait to see what else comes of this project. Ďakujem!
Amazing. Your house reminds me of childhood holidays in Slovenia
Excellent - ordering your book now and off to view some of your other videos - many thanks for posting these

Another excellent piece of work.
You have tons of energy to be able to experiment with virtually all aspects of photography.
Very nice wintertrip and good results too. That´s what I call a fantastic piece of lifetime spent.
You are right. Being at peace is the best we can do with our lives.
You're very unafraid with your photography. I like it very much.
you inspire me!!!
seems like anything can be made to look good under wet plate, though i did find the video to be enjoyable. its quite good
No words! Thank you!
I have no words. Great!
Beautiful place and stunning images mate. Keep up this great work.
Another great video on photography but an excellent advertisement for drinking tea. I have to ask what type ?

Yes, we were both very cold.
Odlično iskustvo ,odlične fotografije!
you're too strong man! this pics and ambiance of the video ✨✨✨ pure magic
Beautiful work!
Inspiring - keep on doing what you do....love each episode.
It looks so peaceful, someday....
It was and it is. It takes at least one day that the rational mind chatter unwind, then peacefulness can stretch through out the horizon.
That is such a cool cabin, you have the life mate.

Oh, definitely a book. And exhibition, for sure. Thank you for your support, James!
Wow!!!!
too cool
Im loving the new style with the drone footage and timelapse video. Top shit 🤙
I've recycled the drone footage, but I should get one. Although now I need to pay for the cabin and a new roof.
well thats 17 minutes I wont get back...17 minute video for 30 seconds of photography.

I've done it inside, so I was cheating
First haha! Love your channel btw
Max for president! 😉
Where did you get the water? The house doesn't seem to have any type of sewage either. Is there an outhouse near by? How do you heat it?
nice car

😂😂😂
Love the results! I was just wondering, how do you digitize such large prints?
I make a reproduction of them on a light table.
Top šit Borut. In -18 brr. But I do wonder would seties start. 😉
It without a sweat. It's petrol engine.

It takes discipline, just like a musician. Then he or she can play with their eyes closed and emotions flow like a river.
You have a noisy valve in the engine. You need to buy a cleaning additive to clean your valves and add it to your oil.
That sounds like a great idea. Thanks
