Then here I am on the early hours of 9/11/24 and just missing my family that I lost that day. The day I swore into active duty to defend everyone else freedom and if need be I would die so that you all may live free. Free to choose free to believe how you wish free to be who you are. I was asked one time, “knowing what I knew now and the outcome where I wouldn’t have the use of my legs ever again and the use of normal oxygen not supplied by a tank so that I may breathe like so many take for granted would I do it over?” My answer will always be HELL YES! Because they might take my legs and my lungs, they may take my freedom but they can never take my soul for only God can to go home. One day I will soon go to be with him and where I will be able to run into my mother’s arms and tell her how much I missed her and my sister. Till then my heart will go on beating.
