- I found out how to create amazing character animations to boost my next Scratch video game. This is the first episode of a Scratch Devlog series following my progress as I create a new Griffpatch original puzzle platformer game called simply "Cubes". I create a player walk cycle, an idle breathing animation, a climbing animation, and a pushing animation - What you create is up to you!!! Free Spriter & Spriter Pro let you create keyframe animated cyclic animations far easier than trying to create them by hand. hi I love scratch.
Even though it might be a pain, there is a site that the name starts with vectorize that will make your sprite frames SVGs. This would fix the bitmap issue as said in the video. The best way to tackle the image vectorizer is to convert the frames into a sprite sheet and put it into the site. Then using another site that you mentioned in your first RPG devlog, split the sprite sheet and put into scratch. Just note that vectorizing does not do good with gradients like shadows.
or just use scratch addons to upload HD images

Definitely. I would prefer more tools that can be adapted or help with original projects rather than just Mario concepts. Obviously a lot of those concepts give examples on how to make you’re own, but still. Whatever we get will be great though!

I always enjoy the dev logs and seeing how you approach problems. You made the sprite animation look quite fun actually and if I didn't have such a tight and far in advance schedule for games I will be releasing I would even consider making a 2D game again just try it myself. I look forward to your next dev log!

The intro and the “hello fello scratchers!” never gets old
If you make it so that there are two types of moveable blocks. Others are such that when you move a block from under it, it moves with it. Others, on the other hand, are those that keep the X position the same, even if a block is moved from under it. (so that it drips down)

3:34 there is actually a scratch addon called HD uploads to solve that exact problem! It allows you to import images as vector's instead of bitmap's to get better quality.

This game is really unique so far and has some potential. Although I think the blocks just need a little bit more polishing, like some sort of outline. But either way this is sick.

Hey Griffpatch. Glad your feeling better from Covid. Little off topic but someone stole my geometry dash game. Here’s some context, I made the geometry dash game and added more stuff to it like settings,skin selector and a level selector and basically almost everything else in geometry dash. I made 3 versions. Geometry dash version 1, geometry dash version 2 and my most recent geometry dash version 3. And I’m very proud of them especially version 3 I spent 3 months on it. And now someone stole my project meaning they saved it to their computer and posted it on their profile, I told him to unshare it and he didn’t and all he wrote in the credits was “thx to @(my username) for some of it”. Then it got taken down and then he told his brother to share it on his profile and told him he made it. And then I told him to unshare it but he still wouldn’t then eventually it got taken down and then he reshaped it on his profile again and said the st allowed him. Is this fair? I spent 3 months on that game and he still is getting more views than me like 23K and is telling everybody he made it

Holy Roly Poly Crawling in Guacamole, this is very cool
I assume you'll be handling the block pushing by having the blocks be tiles, and then remove that tile from the grid list once you start pushing, and having it become a solid tile again once you've finished pushing it across to the next tile. If not, then I can only imagine that objects will have collision, which would be cool to see in this engine after so long!

I think I might know the premise of the game (my shortened version and on first time seeing this video): you play as a robot and you need to push blocks to a suited spot to climb and get to more areas
