- Saturday 12th May saw the Small & Delightful Group Host, there all new Plug & Play Narrow Gauge Model Railway Exhibition, held at the Meadway Hall, Compton Dundon. The 1 day show featured no less than 14 Narrow Gauge layouts in a variety of gauges, including my WW1 Trench Railway, along with a selection of Demo and Trade Stands.
Filmed on over the course of the day, we take a look at just some of the superb layouts on display.
Hope you enjoy!
The colour of the backgrounds, houses and layout adds a realistic dimension to these layouts - outstanding
A good background certainly makes all the difference.
Thanks Callum. It was a good day.
Your layout is looking better than ever.
Noel
Thanks ever so much Noel! Was nice to meet you! Sorry it was a bit brief, was up to my usual tricks filming the show and sampling some of the superb cakes :P Glad you liked the layout. :) I'm sure you'll see it again soon at another show
Lots of amazing little wonders.
Oh yes indeed! Really was Small & Delightful ;)
Oh great. Now I need to get some 009 stuff. I’m blaming you.
Thanks for sharing another great video
Ha! Glad to be of help!
3:00 makes me want a Manning Wardle again. Must resist!
Ha! Really does look a smart bit of kit! Don't think it will fit in the Trench though ;)
That looks like a cool exhibition. Loving the Corris layout and trench railway looking good as always. Those circular layouts are quite inspiring as well
Thanks ever so much mate! Really was a superb little show! Corris really is a stunning layout. Had great fun with though little layouts, certainly make for interesting filming :)
Great vid Callum. Looked like a great little show. I liked the Benter layout because you don't see many with such step inclines and the detailing looked great. I have put a comment on the last vid, I was just a bit late because I have been busy constructing the foundation's for my new garden railway.
Cheers Joe
Thanks Joe. Certainly was a great little show. Always is so interesting to watch, want to do something like that myself. Hope the build is going well :)
good to see the layout back in one piece. You have done a very good job of fixing the damage, and the Baldwin looks great with the train of Bachmann Wagons. Nice to see you've got a sponsor.
Many thanks mate. Glad you like the mend. Really does look the part on there, just need a crew now :) Oh yes, they've been very helpful indeed! :)
Lemans is cool, and your layout is looking awesome too. Back for a longer look. Laurie.
Certainly was a great little show, with some superb little layouts! Glad you enjoyed it!
Lovely showing of layouts, but unless I missed something the thumbnail's a lie.
Hi there. Layout featured in the thumbnail features in video from 19:53
2:18 I saw a layout like this one that was build on a tree stump!!! :-D
Now that's an interesting one! :)
Great models and detail.
Everything looks "brand new", why is it, few English modeler's weather their layouts?
Think the same can be said for other modellers around the world, as I've seen a number of international layouts with are finished the same way. Personally, it's down to the modeller personal preference and of course modelling skill.
Looks something different and nice!!!
And also good to see that your layout is running and that it is ok
Thanks ever so much! Really was a great show indeed! Oh yes, the mend worked out quite well. Hopefully it won't happen again. :)
I can't unsee skarloye.
Me neither
@@SDJR7F88 I can't unsee any of the trains from Thomas when I see their real counterparts lol
Some GWR fans refer to standard gauge as Stephenson's narrow gauge, do you think that would fly there?
Ha! There was two layouts with a small section of Stephenson's narrow gauge so you never know ;)
Thanks
Glad you enjoyed
A good video as usual. Shame not to see the loco in the thumbnail in the video though.
Many thanks! Yes, forgot the thumbnail image when I filmed the layout, so took a quick pic of what was running at the time I finished at the show
It’s mainly because I’ve got one and I like to see what other people have done with theirs.
@@tomlee9534 is a superb model! Think it might of featured in one of my other show videos on the same layout, not to sure
beautiful😊
where was this😊
Many thanks! It was at Compton Dundon Village Hall :)
+SDJR7F88 aye good. I've got a 7F but the joints are stiff what shall I do😊
Check non are rubbing. Found one of the pins was fowling the rods on it
+SDJR7F88 ok it just keeps sticking
There are a few factors in building a railroad layout. One resource I discovered which successfully combines these is the Jareks Hobby Club (google it if you're interested) it's the most incredible resource that I have ever heard of. Check out the awesome information .
Will have a look
How what model is Edward Thomas?
Bachmann?
All the talyllyn lot is repainted Bachmann Thomas and friends stock
Mask the mike - far to much background inaudible chatter/noise! Perhaps invite layout owners to explain their operation - but beware NOT on camera!
