- In an interview with MEE, Scottish MP and former First Minister Humza Yousaf commented on the recent far right riots in the UK, the response of Keir Starmer’s government, and the role some politicians and public figures, such as Nigel Farage and Elon Musk, played in fueling the recent unrest and spreading disinformation.
Musk has attacked his online rivals, including Yousaf, whom he accused of being racist and a “scumbag.” The South African-born tycoon has also shared fake news about the UK riots and joked about invading Britain.
Yousaf branded Musk “one of the most dangerous men on the planet” for his “amplification” of disinformation after the riots.

It’s worth mentioning that there were no such outbreaks of racist, xenophobic anti Islamic violence in Scotland 🏴 which I’m hoping is indicative of a more tolerant and balanced society who can see through the snake oil salesmen such as Farage attributing the problems of the country on immigrants.

Do not fear taboos or hurt feelings if it is to address important issues. Take the protection of natives serious. You will be taking in 70 to 80% males between the age of 16 and 36. Many unmarried and without the presence of family or community. Coming from cultures where supremacism, sectarian apartheid, tribalism and racism are commonly accepted as questions of souvereignity. That will put a huge strain on the people who will have to live with them. Think about how you plan to integrate and assimilate them. Which is certainly possible. But it needs a different approach. The left and right wing approach have failed in multiple countries in the EU.
