1976 Mustang II advertisement

Love them or hate them, the Mustang II was Ford's answer to the oil crisis of the 1970s. I'll be adding some more information on the Mustang II in the next day or so (11/30)

I thought they were such a horrible offer for a Mustang and the name! What were they thinking? "Mustang II"? But would you believe they're starting to get a following with collectors? Why I haven't a clue! I know a guy down the way from me with one and it's still just as chintzy as I remember. Ford rushed to get those out with Lee Iacocca in charge and he wanted something to offer once oil prices went up and folks wanted more fuel efficient cars. They really were a cross between the Maverick and the Pinto bean.
In the next day or so I'm going to do a write up in the description about the "ghetto stang" :) Hopefully soon I'm going to do some verbal commentary but I need a better microphone and a good setup. I have a lot of plans for the channel. Right now I'm just putting the commercials out for folks to reflect on and then I'll make note in future videos etc.
