If three engines "would always be a major selling point", the why is Dassault moving towards two engine aircraft? I doubt there's any modern twin engine aircraft that CAN'T fly on one engine.
I became a Dassault fan years ago, anyone know how long the waiting list is for one now? My game plan is to buy a used 7X and I'm guessing wait quite a while for my number to come up. It who knows, maybe there's companies with some on order they are getting to sell. But I would really like to create my own masterpiece from start to finish just to experience the whole Dassault experience.
Traditionally it is for redundancy, but it also enhances performance, allowing the 7X and 8X to operate at airports that have shorter runways, and also they help in hot and high conditions. Dassault Falcon also say that it is more efficient to run 3 engines than 2. Thanks for watching!
@@AINvideo I just saw a falcon land and take off at a local airport yesterday. Never seen one in person before. The power of the takeoff and the steep climb was pretty wild. The climb was steep and it went into a right bank turn. It made me want to clap. hahahaha
David P It can fly routes that twins can't - depending on how and who owns the aircraft operate. For a charter aircraft Gulfstreams or other twin biz jets may have to comply to ETOPS regulations. Even many private owners are choosing to fly ETOPS routes. With three engines, not an issue. The extra performance and MTOW of the aircraft also make some airports available to use - were some others can't, London City for example. The 3 engine Falcons have been popular aircraft and I suspect if the ceased production, they would loose some customers.
Clive Sinclair definitely the falcon trijet's range and versatility make the triple engine design superior to a bi-jet config. given the choice i would always go with three. not too mention the fuel efficiency of the PW307D, better performance with competing efficiency and emissions release, perfect.
Fishing: Maybe, but no Gulfstream wins in the looks department over any of the 3-engine Falcons. Gulfstreams look very nice but this baby is the Goddess of all motherships! :)
If I had the Pesos I'd reinvent the Concorde for MYself so I could get to MY Island on the other side of the Globe where MY space shuttle would take me to the moon so I could do some weight training to look good for MY trophy Wife's
Don't forget that Dassault mostly builds military aircraft and has done so for dozens of years now. Most of their test pilots are therefore ex-military so they often wear jumpsuits, even in civilian aircraft like the Falcon series.
Such a beautiful jet! I'm slightly envious of anyone that gets to fly or own one of these. Falcon is top of the game.
This is the absolute Business-Jet HEAVEN !!!
Dassault is quite likely the best aircraft manufacturer in the world.
This is an exciting plane indeed! Three engines would always be one of the major selling points of this business jet.
@@100M2B yes, thats the purpose, ideally it should be able to fly using only one engine, most of the twin engine ones are capable of that
Monique Marella; How many lbs fuel/ hr. might 3 engines consume?

Wow, this is such a beautiful airplane, what an incredible machine! I'm a new fan of Dassault !!
Loved the 727 so this one is heaven.
Dassault are much much more a pilot's plane than its competition as Global Express or Gulfstream !!! 8X is the absolute Biz Jet !!
Favorite Business-Jet!
Very good Dassault Aviation...Like the Rafale and Falcon
Beautiful.
HUD's Incredible
Dual HUDs.
David Hoffman is any of the OPU working in any of the delivery aircraft ? any 8x delivery with dual OPU ?
***** , I cannot say one way or the other. Not a lot of information on the delivered aircraft that I can find.
My dream private jet
nice. i just wish it had the extra window on the cockpit like the 2000 and the 900
No question, very impressive!
Absolutely stunning jet. If i ever get in the position, i will buy one.
I love it!!
The interior finishes look outstanding even though its close to 5 years old.
Maybe that's because the video is also 5 years old...

canonphoto so you're a millionaire
get the optional HUD system if you buy new. the visual assist during poor weather conditions is unreal.. also can I be a passenger? lol
I think i know who im gonna work for when i get out of A&P school. :)
Nice report, Matt!
I gotta say, that is one nice plane
NetJets and VistaJet need to look at this aircraft.
Beautiful Plane.
Es arte este avión, se siente con solo verlo.
First class overview.
This man flys and reviews airplanes worth millions. Here i am still trying to understand how to ride a bike.😂
Phinney CuE nobody ask
Fabuleux ...
Best plane ever!!
Beautiful Airplane!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Incredible plane!!
Very impressive.....
It'd probably be my biz jet of choice if I was a multi multi billionaire.
the footage is amazing
The ultimate jet. Bar none.
OK. If you want to play that game. The Saudi Shiek that has his own A380. Top that.
+John Hall Armchair pilot eh?
I think it’s great they can still find work for this old guy to do.
Great plane!
Explain something to me. HOW do you get to "test" an aircraft? Just call and ask nicely?
Que hermosura de Aviòn !
Cuanto vale uno de esos
Tenho interesse no jato F8
It climbs at 4,000 fpm? That's wild.
@AIN..... what is the long range cruising speed of Falcon 8x?
Very nice, only way to fly.
Who is watching it, because he is so hyped for the aerobask?
Quite the ship.
very nice. I own one and absolutely tecomend it.
what is the reason for the triple jet engine design? is it for rebundancy? won't it add additional maintainance cost and fuel burn?

how do you get that sweet jacket tho???
What does Dassault continue to use a trijet design? More parts to maintain wouldn't you think? Beautiful nonetheless
David P too many trouble when they're try to implement 2 engines on the 900 and 2000.

Four Gulfstream employees dislike this
Jeff Brown Gulf Stream employees just smile this 8x is no comparison to Gulf Stream even the G550 spec, ok it had side sticks to Gulf Stream yorks.
Fishing: Maybe, but no Gulfstream wins in the looks department over any of the 3-engine Falcons. Gulfstreams look very nice but this baby is the Goddess of all motherships! :)
Jeff Brown the look is to the holder even with 3 engine it still less thrust than Gulf Stream 2 RR engine, the maintenance access is nightmare.
They laugh and then see Airbus big brothers of Dassault. Then they shit in their pants.
Sweet!
Super jet
This aircraft can fly non stop for 15 hrs
I want one
where can you train to fly a plane that has fly wire controls?
On the job training. That's why they pack a few emergency parachutes in the rear of the plane...just in case.
Australian PM has one
hey wow I have these jets.i have three of them
🔴Les dejo uno de los mejores vídeos que he realizado hasta ahora en Español, el Avión Privado Falcon 8X ruclips.net/video/5YuPNhGZTRA/видео.html
Not going to lie, I thought this plane was hella ugly when I first saw it. But the tri-jet design has grown on me.
What is the speed of 8X??
0.85 Mach ??
0.945 Mach
Before 7:30😁
❤️
Really nice love the joystick controls. The gulfstream are beautiful too but the big yoke is prehistoric and rubbish looking tbh.
Hard to hear the talking. Make the music softer in following videos.
From the outside I find falcon to be the least attractive compared to its competitors. However, I very much respect its performance and tech.
Its like the 727 of business jets

good video but this background music ruins all - please without background music
😊😊
Amazing aircraft! Thanks for copying Airbus's fbw and side stick just like everybody is doing.. What an amazing business jet.
Not copying, Airbus has a small 10%-ish stake in Dassault Aviation

I préfère bombardier 8000
but it looks ugly....
Prettier than the older Falcon Jets. The ones with the center windshield.
tedwijaya1 ugly look at its tail
Where ever you put the stick the plane continues to fly that course 😟 just ask Air France about that. Very. Dangerous. Joy stick flying 👎
The jumpsuits are a bit much! No need for these most ridiculous things! For professional pilots they look like a bunch of wannabe F18 pilots!
Don't forget that Dassault mostly builds military aircraft and has done so for dozens of years now. Most of their test pilots are therefore ex-military so they often wear jumpsuits, even in civilian aircraft like the Falcon series.
