    I have a men's Colombian emerald ring and I was told not to wear it frequently because unlike diamonds, emeralds can chip easily. Is that accurate? Thanks, in advance, for your answer!

    What about the price of its less than 1ct stones? I bought 0,53ct colombian emerald for 200 euros so basicaly it would cost me 377 per ct. Is that correct. And should be the price range smaller as its lower than 1ct?

    Another great video! I'm always a bit torn between natural and lab grown emeralds and rubies. Lab grown is always better to eliminate slave labor in mining of course. And I understand that clarity is highly valuable and lab can give you perfect clarity; but i really, REALLY love it when the emeralds and rubies have a slightly clouded, semi clear look (not like jade, more clear). The inclusions in the right places really add character to the stone. I personally love the green/yellow emeralds over the blue green ones.
    All this to say i have both natural and lab grown gems, since they both have their own unique qualities that makes them beautiful.

    • @thatjewelryguy3411
      @thatjewelryguy3411  2 года назад +1

      Thank you for watching the video well the slave labor. Is a subject i dont really know much about to comment on that area. The kimberly process was created though to prevent blood diamonds/gemstones. As for that finial comment 100% agree both colors / shades can be stunning in their own ways.

    Lab Emeralds are beautiful, very appeasing to the eye and you can get away with more carrots. Naturals can be a bit messy when verifying them and pricing.
    Thinking about getting a wedding ring with a lab emerald.

    • @thatjewelryguy3411
      @thatjewelryguy3411  2 года назад

      100% agree Harry lab emeralds are beautiful and if you do want to go the natural route with emeralds it's worth knowing that most emeralds have been treated to some degree because of the amount of Jardin (they are not called inclusions) that emeralds have. Have you looked at some websites to try and find a lab grown emerald of your liking ?

    Hiya, I'm looking to buy a 9ct yellow gold, 0.14ct diamond, pear emerald ring.
    The price I'm looking at is £549, but I've seen the same design with other stones (Tanzanian, opal and amethyst) for significantly less, on the same site.
    I understand that these are generally cheaper than emeralds, but was wondering if that's a decent price to pay for what im getting?

    • @thatjewelryguy3411
      @thatjewelryguy3411  2 года назад +1

      Honestly market pricing in 9ct gold is something id have to do some research on. I mainly work with 14kt -18kt gold pieces. You are 100% correct as well thoes gemstones should be alot less compaired to an emerald. If you like the color of an emerald it might also be worth looking into russellite. This is normally less than an emerald and still has an amazing green. Ill 100% learn about 9ct gold so expect a future video on the channel

    • @thatjewelryguy3411
      @thatjewelryguy3411  2 года назад +1

      Id recomend seeing the piece in person if you dont own any 9ct gold because its a very very different color compaired to 14kt if your used to that kt weight
