    This poem has deeply touched my heart. It is intensely emotional for me and touches every root of my past loves lost. Such a beautifully written piece. I applaud the Persian poet Jalaleddin Rumi. Thank you!

    Could someone please tell me who sings the background vocals on Madonna's voice? And I would also like to know what this vocalist says (I hear: Days 're right Days 're riiiight... Bring bring bring bring me hiiiiiiiigh - though I'm sure they're not the actual lyrics). Beautiful piece, at any rate - and Madonna achieves the 'tour de force' of being both so professional and moving. Never to be forgotten!!!

    His poetry is in Farsi. Turkey and Afghanistan did not exist in the time Rumi lived. Where he was born, lived, and buried was called Persia, renamed Iran in 1938. I'm from Iran. If 800 years from now where I'll be burried becomes pert of Turkey, I'll still be Iranian not Turk. Rumi wrote Masnavi for the Persians. He called it the Persian Koran. Like Divan, Masnavi is written in Persian.

    can somebody tell me what is this all about? i mean why they are recording this where it's originally from?

  • @vadi2
    @vadi2 15 лет назад

    The lyrics are from Mevlana Jalaluddin Rumi. He is not Iranian He is Turkish and his grave is in Turkey too. People who claim that he is from Iran or Afghanistan are totally wrong. also his book Mesnavi was written in Turkish and in that book he says that he is Turkish. He comes from Middle Asia where Turkish people are comming originally from. I just wanted to tell the truths about that. In fact it doesn't matter where he is from what matters is what he has told us.

  • @Fravahar

    @vadi2 you even dont know where RUMi was born lol he was born in BALKH in today afghanistan his native language was Farsi (persian) he run away with his family from balkh to knoya because their home land and the rest of afghanistan and iran were under attck by some mongol tribes
    he was arefugee to konya
    yes RUMI is a persian, but you pantork who try to hijack the background of RUMI, you should feel shame

  • @vadi2
    @vadi2 15 лет назад

    First of all you I can tell from the way you wrote that you didn't read Rumi cos if you did you wouldn't talk in this way. Rumi has a big heart and welcomes all people without ever caring about their religion or nation. With this attitude you are pushing people away. Rumi is from Belh which evolved to Afghanistan today. All turks come from there. Besides in Mesnevi says: Aslem Türkest egerçi göyem. Mevlana wrote mesnevi in farsi because it is a much better language for poems. ..

  • @captaingq1
    @captaingq1 13 лет назад

    RUMI was NOTTTT Persian. He was Afghan but his poetry is in Dari (Farsi). He has nothing to do with Persia or Persians.

  • @vadi2
    @vadi2 15 лет назад

    If you think because he wrote mesnevi in farsi that makes him persian so how about Sina is he arab? Sina wrote in arabic language.. If he was persian so why did he come from Belh to konya and not to tahran? Read the history with your mind and heart not with your nationalist feelings. AND DON'T SHOW OFF! Rumi was a gift for the whole world.. He was not a gifted person cos of his nation or blood or what so ever. He was special cos ALLAH wanted that and the religion of ISLAM made him to what he is
