I had watched a different video made by someone else on how to make it. The video was SO CONFUSING, your video made it do easy to understand and make. Thank you so much!

Wow, this is so simple - I had mine all cut out, but this is the first time I have ever made a Japanese knot bag, so was a tad unsure. Your excellent video made me realise just how easy the whole thing is - thank you so very, very much! I shall use your video when I teach my students how to make these - such a star, thanks.

Love this bag and it's quick and easy. I do have two ideas to make this a tiny bit easier. First, before the bags are stitched together (still flat) iron those seam allowances on the "armholes" and second, clip all the curves at the bottom, the neckline and the armholes. Clip up to, but not in to the half inch seam allowance and it will stitch up and lay flat. I watched the video on Monday, and Wednesday night I have two bags completed, and did many other things beside sew. They are quick!

Nancy Ewald !!! Oh my gosh you are a sewing genius! I just got around to remaking this bag, and your way definitely makes those armholes easier. Thanks! I tend to make things harder than they have to. (Story of my life) As if they weren’t addictive enough. So many knot bags!!

I LOVE the shape of your bag so much more than others I have seen. It would be so helpful if you could provide a template of the pattern piece for us -- I can't begin to freehand anything, even with your graph paper.

You did a good job explaining how to make the Japanese Knot Bag. I would love to know the dimensions for a medium and small bag. Thank you for posting.

Would it be ok to use some light weight stabilizer in it? And how do I work the round seams on the bottom of the handles?

Hello! I had a question! I love your tutorial best and so easy!! My question was, if this is your "large", what measurements would you recommend for your medium or small? Thank you!!!

I would put the pocket on the side of the short handle (not the midle), make it wider and of the same material to not look like an ugly patch. Cute bag and well done.

Merci beaucoup pour ce tuto très clair. Auriez vous le patron de votre sac à m'envoyer en mp? where can I get le pattern?
    Bonne soirée

there is no pattern, but you can make it using my dimensions, or make it your own by creating diffrent dimentions. I think thats half the fun. Its easier than you think, and even if you dont get it exact, the bag’s shape is pretty forgiving. I used grided paper to make my pattern and it helped so much! Hope this helps, and let me know how it turns out.
