  • The plaintiff rented an apartment to the defendant. She says she had to start evicting the defendant and she damaged it, so she’s suing for roof repairs, floor repairs, and inspection costs. The defendant argues she didn’t damage a thing and the plaintiff was just jealous of her. She’s suing for lost catering jobs and harassment.

The demeanor of the defendant is disgusting. The sighing. The eye-rolling. She is the problem. Too bad people just won't get out when the landlord requests it. She bold-faced lied to JM. And if you try to overtalk the judge, you look stubborn and foolish. She's so full of herself and excuses. UGH!! It was so satisfying to see her thrown out of the courtroom. The fact that the defendant is still living there is going to be a major problem for the plaintiff.

Yeah I agree she responsible but I think the gas company is also responsible bc what gas company allows 3 years of none payment? Normally after 2 months of not paying gas they shut it off so the gas company should be sued too also yeah some places you do have to have the signature of the owner. My mom is a home owner and she has to sign for water and gas in reasno for the renters to be able to place it in there name.. just say the people who rented my mom house didn't pay no bills or rent in 7 years so mom got stuck with the bills plus they destroyed the property and the house is so bad it had to be condemned so mom in a law suit with them right now.

The plaintiff is jealous of my highly successful catering business, but I can't afford $15 to have proof that I tried to have the gas bill put in my name.

Having been a landlord I would not have sued for damages until the tenant was evicted and out of the building. You darn well know the tenant is going to do intentional damage before she leaves, to get back at the plaintiff.

Some folks can be so trifling and disgusting. People like the defendant are the reason that I would never want to rent to anyone, and if I did, it would only be to active duty military personnel, because at least then, I’d have some recourse for recouping funds. She should be ashamed of her no-good self.

Had a tenant recently call me that his stove was not working. Appliance guy went out and determined the gas had been shut off. Tenant had the nerve to blame it on the previous tenant (that had been gone 18 months) had never shut off the gas. He had been living on previous tenants dime for 18 months and was angry about it. Some peoples kids.

As soon as I saw the defendant swagger in I Yelled HOODRAT, & yep, she's guilty. LOL I know that you "can't tell a book by its cover" but damn, I got this one on point. The previous tenant whose name the defendant has been using to have power hook-up needs to get on board & take this defendant to both criminal & civil court for her illegal activity.

You are in a court of law ( yes it is an arbitration) but any court deserves respect. The amount of disrespect to the court and plaintiff ( who still needs to evict this "person" ) is horrible.

With every crazy person there is a bit of truth.
Unless there is a disconnect order from the previous tenant, only the owner of the home can request to disconnect services. So the previous tenant forgot to do it, and the landlord also didn’t follow through.
