Hello there, Now I studied engineering in my final year, and this podcast helps me a lot in gaining skills and knowing what is currently going on in the IT industry and what I need to do for a job.
Fabulous podcast. I never loved being an engineer. I’m a creative director now. Wish I had done something related to art back then, but I utilise the technical knowledge in shooting. Well spoken and great insights by the guest as well. Kudos!
Amazing Podcast . I want you to make more podcasts on the skills that students need to learn side by side their college course which are very important if they have to stand on their own in the market for a better Tomorrow . So someone who could guide on that how can we learn those skills on our own .
That the reason i don't like to go engineering colleges for degree....... i actually like to observe thing, and how the machine or technology work, but our teacher are themselves only doing teaching rather than intense research and teach student how should we do research..........Most of time between 9 and 12, i had asked my teacher out of box they just reply it's not in our syllabus.....so we don't need to study those things.......do what i told😢😢
A second perspective is what my teachers told me about. Indian engineering is better in a way to make your future outside the country. Why ? Because in the first year we are taught the basics of all the branches. So we know something about the branch. Whereas this is not the same thing for other countries. They study respectively about the branch they selected. So I like this about the Indian engineering system.

There exists a big confusion between science, engineering and technology..and the inevitable overlap h had only accentuated this confusion over the years.science always leads and shows the path for progress of human endeavour and engineering skill enables to realise the fruits of science while technology that follows both these provides support to this endeavour.

I can guarantee you that what he has said is accurate because I am an engineer. About 15 lac engineers are produced in India annually, but only 30-40% of them are highly skilled. Additionally, the curriculum and methodology are so antiquated that students today merely worry about passing with excellent percentages without possessing the necessary abilities. I personally dislike the idea taught in engineering colleges, and even after practicing coding and doing internship for a year, i still want to leave this field due of the curriculum and structure. There isn't any practical knowledge; instead, the entire subject is crammed just before exam day.
Let me share you my story in brief- I passed my Diploma in 2011 in Civil engineering , got a job in private sector then I went for graduation in the same stream but then I was not getting even 15000 per month then I need to "switch my stream" and went to a company which was in india but was based in London who provides not only more salary as a fresher but also provides allowance, incentives, perks, performance incentive and many more And I was thinking of serving my country deep inside so I left it one day and now i am earning decent amount " In an Indian company" but no perks and no allowance and complicated incentive scheme which is hardly possible ..... So Yes Education system sucks - I can not use my technical skills now ........ I don't know what to do now for better performance already in my 30's
Please bring someone to talk on today's problems of students nd how to tackle it. For eg- distraction, sleepiness while studying, less exercise, incorrect body posture, loneliness out of home when in pg, alternatives of costly healthy food when living in hostel, reduce stress while preparing for exams etc

on the interview - more could have been discussed about namtech instead of Education System - I watched the entire conversation and at end find that he has a solution!!! on the Education System of India ---- Reality: Government related - NEP 2020 Policy is not a rule; Employability is not yet anyone's mandate (NHEQF has just released a draft) Parents and students - see it as investment, want to maximise earning... mismatch (both horizontal and vertical) in job is allowed... so, civil, mech engineers ... are doing something else, most of the times software development Teachers - how many have industry exposure? are they updated? are they willing to redefine their role - include employability as their objective if not mandate? Institutions - show mismatched jobs as placements - most of the placements are different from the training they gave, - do they pay their teachers on par? Employers - how many are willing to give internships, training to their employees (WIPRO is an exception to my knowledge) Students - how many students are committed, discuss their score patterns, % on time course completion, how many want to work in our country? , how many are willing to work for lower salary, have our engineering students compared with the medicos, CAs or lawyers? So, my questions are: 1. Aren't good students getting employed? - they are getting employed. 2. So, whom are we expecting to anything about this? Whom are we talking to? if you say scam - can we spot the scammer? My perspective - we (Indians) do not share the responsibility. Our attitude towards country, education and work are NOT aligned towards country's future... there is a need for discussion country wide to solve... bring in alignment... What I agree - the moment is ripe for disruption.. , four-year rigorous experiential programme,
It is sort of Simple and we are lacking execution interest Engineer 1. Stop Sending Kids to Engineering College via AIEEE ranking system 2. Skills eeng. Should know 1)AIML data analytics 2) Analytical and critical skills 3) comunication skills 4)team building 5) the lacking area in your area
This is what I have pointed put to people in India..........IITs, IIMs, AIIMS and the best institutes in India are mediocre institues of rote learning that do not teach any critical thinking and problem solving. There are hardly any big thinkers or original entrepreneurs coming out of them. There is hardly any important bench or field research coming out of them. To scale up, graduates of these institutes go to the US (and to a lesser degree Europe/UK) to get MS, MBA, MD or get work experience and that is when they get to learn real work, innovation and critical thinking. Thats where they make their contributions.
This is one of the amazing podcast I ever heard about the technical education. I have a new perspective that we have we all young minds to be a problem solver .

Our hiring system is not correct and even the school ranking system. You are suppressed from interests and hobbies for standard courses to get a job. For some courses there is not job available like 0 job opportunities. They somehow get into some other industry to get a job. Jobs search is again a great process. Do this courses that courses. Expecting experience before starting a job. Even if you get a job without interest you are certainly not going to grow extraordinary in that job unless you are having basic needs to fulfill. You start thinking about doing other things when you are already in the job. You will be confused with what to do in life. So many people stay in good jobs just for the salary or they dont know what to do and not out of interest. One solution I felt is teach them everything. Let the students choose what they want but there should be some basic knowledge about important things like utilizing technology, teach them how to learn. Provide them job opportunities in a wide domain area. I feel like a lot of art jobs are dying. Identify them as cultural preservers and bring tourist attraction. All in vain until you give a equal and safe workplace and tourist place for both Men and women.
Make a podcast with purely emphasize Research, Development and Innovation. Try to bring industry experts, researchers and professors in a single podcast for the same.

Kudos!
glad you found the episode valuable 🙌
This good eye opening for the #Modi education polciy
Thank you Raj for getting him on your show.
Some times i criticize you and some times i appreciate you.
Take both the situations in a positive way.
manufacturing hai to india me ..besan k pakode..aate sooji k golgappe...chai( dolly etc.) matthi...poori sabji ..tikki..vada pav girl ....btech gol gappa .....samosa...chaap and much more....sab thelaa lga to rhe hai..is se upar koi soch hi nhi paa rha...aur soche b kyu jb unko usi me accha income hai ..kya gdp k baare me sochega wo
Why don't you start small manufacturing unit
😂 but hey its manufacturing
There exists a big confusion between science, engineering and technology..and the inevitable overlap h had only accentuated this confusion over the years.science always leads and shows the path for progress of human endeavour and engineering skill enables to realise the fruits of science while technology that follows both these provides support to this endeavour.
Inspiring. Please see if you can cover something on Indian law firms, their business model, attrition rate, issues faced in building and expansion, etc.
Engineering me 4 years waist krwate he collage wale sidhe four year ka experience de do tu koi bhi berojgar tu rhega hi nhi and new innovations ke sath some people apni khudki companey build krni strength rkhta bcz unke under potential hoti he us time ye mene personally feel kiya he but family problem ki wajh se mene apna startup nhi kr paya mere ideas pe but one day i work myself idea and iam sucessful ❤😊
@Raj Shamani plaase get more such people on show who talk about solutions for education related problems.
Let me share you my story in brief-
I passed my Diploma in 2011 in Civil engineering , got a job in private sector then I went for graduation in the same stream but then I was not getting even 15000 per month then I need to "switch my stream" and went to a company which was in india but was based in London who provides not only more salary as a fresher but also provides allowance, incentives, perks, performance incentive and many more
And I was thinking of serving my country deep inside so I left it one day and now i am earning decent amount " In an Indian company" but no perks and no allowance and complicated incentive scheme which is hardly possible .....
Education System ko Change kaise kare us par Podcast banao
👍
Parte to ho nahi kya fayda
Hi Raj... thanks for the podcast your podcast are always very insightful
thank you, means a lot. More to come 🚀
33:37 sentence truly correct in all Indian companies.
India mai sab ko bas software developer banna hai , koi core branch mai jaana hi nahi chahta , college mai bhi bas Software Developer ko hi hire karne aati hai companies toh college bhi inhi par focus karta hai
I graduated in ECE but 4 year ki btech mai bas 2 sem hi vlsi designing padhi , meri brach mai kisi ko interest hi nahi tha Chip designing mai kyuki sab ko pata tha ki college mai bas software developers ki profile ke liye companies aati hai.
India mai log engineering bas degree lene ke kiye karte hai. Baad mai sochte hai ki ab life mai kya karna hai .
Very though provoking discussion 🎉
thank you 🙌
on the interview - more could have been discussed about namtech instead of Education System - I watched the entire conversation and at end find that he has a solution!!!
on the Education System of India ----
Reality:
Government related - NEP 2020 Policy is not a rule; Employability is not yet anyone's mandate (NHEQF has just released a draft)
Parents and students - see it as investment, want to maximise earning... mismatch (both horizontal and vertical) in job is allowed... so, civil, mech engineers ... are doing something else, most of the times software development
Teachers - how many have industry exposure? are they updated? are they willing to redefine their role - include employability as their objective if not mandate?
Institutions - show mismatched jobs as placements - most of the placements are different from the training they gave, - do they pay their teachers on par?
Employers - how many are willing to give internships, training to their employees (WIPRO is an exception to my knowledge)
Students - how many students are committed, discuss their score patterns, % on time course completion, how many want to work in our country? , how many are willing to work for lower salary, have our engineering students compared with the medicos, CAs or lawyers?
So, my questions are:

2. Create Trade schools to hire Associates, Analyst , technicians
3. Provide Good housing and Nutrition and Sports facilities with good Medical
Doctors
1. Not everyone needs to become a heart surgeon, a Cardiologist
2. Create and enroll people in Medical Ambulance services, EMR .
3 things are missing
1. Quality teacher's
2. Education
3. System 😢
I think digitilisation is the gift of the century, after seeing our countries educational situation
Building something comes after stability both in life and finance. The problem is we find engineering as a way to be financially stable.
Basically non technical jobs should be guaranteed to pay basic needs.
1:46 and many engineers cant evn code prperly
It's very knowledgeable podcast. 🎉
glad you think so!
Super insight into Indian scene..thank you. Good ad for Namtech guys...batchs start in Aug !
Such a wholesome and informative podcast ❤ keep bringing in such great thinking people who will really contribute to the nation
for sure, more is on the way 🚀
I have done my mechanical engineering in 2014 and after completing btech I got job with very low pay scale only 10000 then i have coupled MBA and currently i am earning 54000 in hand in other non tech field your podcast is very good
It's not just system problem.
Same desi students studying masters in US universities still have "jugaad" attitude. Get max GPA by hook or crook, even though companies here don't give a f about GPA.
Per capital income of countries in Dollars $
India - 2,800 $
China - 12,800 $

Make a video on indian agriculture and how the farmers can export there product and earn from cross border
Podcast on Basic indian education system ❤😊
Jobless kind of thing is not only in engineering field this is every where
How to keep being motivated as an entrepreneur. Fmcg sales ( preferably in food industry) and marketing: how and where to start and sustain. These are very important issues for me personally as an entrepreneur and would be greatful if you could make this video.
Good knowledge given thanks.
Nice explanation.
Raj Sir, I seriously wholeheartedly want you to make a video addressing CAs, CSs, CMAs and all those finance degrees having C in them. It will really help students who are devoting their time and energy just to get those degrees and later on realizing that it is not that fruitful or worthwhile. Please if that's possible and match your area of interest. Do put efforts I will personally share it to all my friends. Thank you
Fc you u only know about ca cs cma😂😂😂😂
Nice conversation... 👍
As this government moto is to take India as the emerging country with good economy but how are they
As they are not focusing on the root level (schools ,colleges )they should change the system
Raj sir - this is episode was perfect face of engineer.
Can u bring marketing person please for interview- it’s toughest job. Skills of engineer product - marketing is must .
Sir hum soch nhi rhe hai ki hum engineer hai...yeh to system hai jo freshers ko mouka hi nhi deta...unko sirf experience se lena dena...one experience logo ke under minimum 10 fresher workforce de sakta hai...but we are not utilising our freshers.
Skills eeng. Should know
1)AIML data analytics
2) Analytical and critical skills
3) comunication skills
4)team building
5) the lacking area in your area
This is what I have pointed put to people in India..........IITs, IIMs, AIIMS and the best institutes in India are mediocre institues of rote learning that do not teach any critical thinking and problem solving. There are hardly any big thinkers or original entrepreneurs coming out of them. There is hardly any important bench or field research coming out of them. To scale up, graduates of these institutes go to the US (and to a lesser degree Europe/UK) to get MS, MBA, MD or get work experience and that is when they get to learn real work, innovation and critical thinking. Thats where they make their contributions.
Hope this conversation changes my own journey and approach
It was a great podcast, I really learned a lot from this thank you ....
This is one of the amazing podcast I ever heard about the technical
education.
I have a new perspective that we have we all young minds to be a problem solver .
great takeaway! thank you for watching 💯
1st do engineering then do this course which cost Rs 12 Lakh.
Ye gov and pvt sector ki achi jugalbandi hai... Phle clg m aisi education na do jisse insan job ready ho paye.. Fir ye hi pvt vale apne skill enhancement vale courses launch kre aur p t company Jo pehle freshmen ko hire kr k training deti thi as per their job with stipend/ salary ab vo bhi fresher pay kr ke trained ho kr company mai jaye...
Inki ye cycle mast hai... Engineering colleges Jo loss m ja rhe the ab vo hi log companies se tie up kr k engineering course jitne fee vale skill enhancement courses launch kr rhe hai...
Phle inhone bacho ka gobar banaya apne clgs mai...ab gobar m cherry laga rhe hai ye skilled bana kr.... 😢
Pagal ban rha hai bas logo ka aur kuch nhi...😢😢😢
Chinta mat karo mere bhayio most of the Engineers are billionaires 😮 bas knowledge lete jao hard work karte jao or raj bhai ko subscribe karna mat bhulna ❤❤
We cant only blame the education system, we should be willing to learn skills on our own that schools fail to teach
Engineering is mugging up thousands of concepts in one time and write in exams ..that's it only...that's why it is boring
PLEASE MAKE a video on architecture industry ,no one talk about on this topic people don't known architecture and architects problem .
Bhai Sports, relationship, health related podcast Karo ...
Superb podcast
thank you!
Education System is the only System which lag both Education AND System .
raj bhiya plz make more podcast on future job
We need to get education experts and officials from countries like Singapore, Israel, Japan etc and have them overhaul our entire education system! I don't think we can do anything ourselves, given the challenges we face............
Raj Bhai, if someone is doing well in the hotel industry then bring them in so that we can learn something better from them. I have made a very big plan.
I want to make some improvements in the hotel industry, so that you can create a better hotel industry in India and our India can progress, I need your support Raj Bhai
Plz plz 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
true education system is not creating employable engineers in system .
Their isn't good collage or bad collage, only bad education system i.e very bookish, non practical, old system of teaching and old concepts, multiple subjects which teaches only on surfaces by the time you figured out something, you moved to next semester 😂bakwaas education system which will make a grown man confused, depress after educated almost 22-25yrs with debts
Correct 💯
On top of that there aren't enough jobs and the education doesn't even give us enough skills to get a job . The worst sin you can do is birth in india . 😢😢😢
Population was never a problem 😂😂😂, I don't understand why people blame population, without population there won't be workforce, no customers.
India should focus on training people and creating more new jobs. Entrepreneurship is the need of hour.
With any person who has cleared GATE EXAM and worked in PSU( preferred mechanical engineer)
