I am very impressed by Michael's ability to tolerate this man.
How nice of Michael pollan to interview this random guy for an hour and twenty minutes
A priority for the school of life would be to teach somebody how to listen more and speak less.
Particularly this interviewer.
I came here just for this comment. He’s insufferable!
I stopped watching the video (of which I was highly interested), and also chose not to give a “like,” specifically because of that ridiculously awful host. Quite a shame.
The chubby guy just ruins the show. More interruption than contribution.

Host is much more interested in showing off his (very basic) knowledge than in enabling Michael. Terribly narcissistic host. On brand with School of Life content, based on my experience.
This observation is on every interview video comment section: ie host should keep their mouth shut, especially when it relates to content and not question, and yet hosts usually are some insecure wannabe who has to butt in every 2 mins.

what a ridiculous host. . He's there forming his "intelligent" counter opinions while Pollen, the guest, is trying to talk..
It irks me to hear the host's whistle boogers. I wish he didn't even have a mic.
46:30 This is an amazing point. And ironically many of those women complain about capitalism, the thing that did the most at replacing women in the kitchen with fast food.
You missed the point, it seems! The point was that capitalism siezed the opportunity to invade people with fast food right at the moment when the debate on doing work around the house was very intense. Instead of coming to a better solution and men actually takind responsibility, the tension was relieved by fast food - with a very bad solution that noone would cook at all.

Agreed with everyone below regarding the host. Terrible interrupter, Wish they Michael Pollan more talking time.....
So if our bodies are 90% microbes, shouldn't we refrain from feeding them in order to evolve without their dependence?

He never wants to answer the question as to what he eats. I have heard a few people ask that of him and he avoids the question. How odd for such a smart educated person. He must have a reason I guess.
He eats Food, mostly Plants. As do I.
