i am almost 70, and i am filled with joy that dance has had SUCH a resurgence in the past decade. say what you will, and i often do, about nigel lythgoe, but he has brought dancers and choreographers front and center like never before. of course i knew of brian and wade and others, but know we know them like we never knew the likes of alvin ailey or bob fosse. thank you for this new level of participation in the art of dance.
I'm not a dancer, but this was really enlightening! It's inspiring to see someone work their way up to the top. sidenote... i've never seen an interviewer with such great posture. i kept on getting distracted and just start to admire it.
Yup! If you look on our main page, there's a schedule on the right hand side. Mondays - REMIXED. Wednesdays - S2DIO CITY. Thursdays - THE LXD. Fridays - MASTERCLASS. Thanks for watching!
Great interview!! Enjoyed it!! I'm not a dancer(artist/animator actually) but what Brian said about how dance classes are conducted I believe is true no matter what you are studying. Nowadays it's about "looking good" and not the actual mechanics of teaching, whatever subject it is, which is very annoying to me. I happen to like the "keep your mouth closed and get down to business the proper way" but unfortunately there is less of that. Again great start to MasterClass!! =D
Great interview. I love Brian's devotion to teaching future generations. It's absolutely essential to pass on not only the technique but the values he was raised with and learned from his teachers. Bravo to Galen and Ds2dio..
This guy is amazing. I'm not a studio dancer, comin from bboying/ hiphop/ krump, and other forms of street style battle dances, so I don't know these industry names, but I can see just from the short clips of his choreo...this dude is legit. Not at all easy what he does and moves, and also to make the others move the same as he does. great interview, I like looking into the worlds of other dancers in genres I have yet to experience.
Thanks Brian for sharing your thoughts / teachings. Thanks for reminding us the real n' most effective way of learning n' teaching dance, More than just show up. Thanks DS2DIO for making this interview, so precious, to reach us! Thank you! I appreciate it! =)
Wow what an insightful interview. I'm just sorry I didn't see it sooner. I hadn't heard of Brian Friedman until XFactor but since then I've been more conscious of his work. He and Jalen are hands down two of my favorites.
I love this. I've got a question. Is there gonna be like a weekly schedule? Like every Monday you post an episode of remixed, and every Friday a masterclass and interview, etc? 'Cause I'm just dying of excitement right now.
I love this man. My brother from another mother. I can honestly say that @BrianFriedman made a better Dancer. He challenged me on every dance job we did together & or that he choreographed / Directed. I am Forever grateful for our friendship. Dancers! Watch, Listen, Learn! #Dasit!
Hey I Have A Question: Will MaddChadd be Featured in "Master Class", i would love to learn how to dance like him, he inspires me to dance, and i kind of know how to dance like him but i have that feeling that i can work on it and work on it and get to the point where i would be good enough to be like him, and i know im not the only one that wants to learn to dance like Chadd. I Love Dance, and im very excited for Step Up Revolution!

Are you ever too old to dance? I started taking dance classes when I was 27. Ive danced my entired life, the arts is who I am. I sing, I dance, I act and teach. But i still want tk perform. Is it too late for me?
Hi DS2DIO! I really want to work for Brian during X-Factor UK, how can I get in contact with him formally? I really appreciate what you guys give out to us dancers overseas, getting to hear the choreographers creative mind out loud really makes me study and explore my own creative process!
