Gr8 video.. will also recommend.. when describing connections to the trl u missed 2 say.. glad hands are secure .. & .. glad hand rubber gaskets.. are proper & not cracked.. that can cause leakage of the trl connections.. thus unsafe.. thanku 4 gr8 video..
Great video, only thing I would caution is to never get between the tractor and trailer landing gear to check if the lock jaws are locked around the king pin. Get a few feet behind the landing gear to verify the connection.
This isn't the case for every tractor but on the 2022 T680 I'm going to be taking my test on, the kingpin lock is almost not visible unless you get between the tractor and landing gear, not sure if the instructors require you be all the way under the trailer like I have to be or not, that would be a crummy way to get failed 😂 gonna be taking mine in a couple weeks
Hi sir great vid started studying to get my permit this is all new to me so I’m like a sponge rn getting as much info as possible here from Oswego IL thanks again !
Is this something I should watch over and over before starting my schooling? Seeing what’s best for me to do to get a head start before starting my schooling

I'm really nervous about my test, I've watched a few videos, and I see people starting in cab first, but I also see it starting outside of the rig. does it matter where you start? thank you, and this video is amazing
If u are going to a company with manual trucks then I would recommend getting a manual. Most of the industry is going towards auto but there are a couple companies that have manual trucks

In cab is after whatever card you pull.
A - Front/under tractor and engine
B - Door to back of tractor
C - Trailer
D - Everything
Good luck
They will let you know
