    I've had the distinct pleasure of meeting several SAS and SBS men. I was with two friends who are Delta Force. I definitely felt like a mere mortal amongst giants. The members of the Special Forces are an exceptional breed of men. I have tremendous respect for them and the magnificent work they do. Thank you gentlemen for your service and your sacrifices!

    GHANA ARMED FORCES peacekeeping forces played a key role in protecting and bringing peace to this country. In fact, at a point all peacekeepers gave up and left the country but the Ghanaian peacekeeping force and their general commander couldn't abandoned their position and stood their grounds. Many lost their lives but they triumph in the end.

That's ignoring the massive efforts of other countries that contributed troops to bring peace to Sierra Leone under the UN. The UN mission to bring peace to Sierra Leone was commanded by my compatriot General Opande. It took efforts from several players to end the war in Sierra Leone, not just 50 soldiers from the White saviors country in one mission!

      perhaps due to several of utube's more nonsensical, woke and or pro-censorship policies. (similar to why creators cannot say the word grape withot the g. i have even observed the word cannabis being censored...)
      even worse, to keep costs down, their terms and conditions are commonly enforced by annoying idiocy (a.i.)
      on the plus side, these programs can be quite easy to trick.
      on the negative side, as a machine, they show an extreme lack of common sense. also, the appeals process to an incorrect assessment by a computer program can be extraordinarily frustrating.
      creators and video posters sadly need to play along because of the constant fear of "demonetization." utube often is their current job and creators are stuck as there does not yet exist a viable alternative.

    Is there any specific reason the SAS opted for M14 rifles for this mission? I read somewhere Navy Seals still use them for certain operations. I'm no expert at all, but would have thought an M16 variant would be more suited, due t size, weight, quantity of ammo, rate of fire etc. M16 would be more suitable for such close range fighting too?

    • @gooner72

      The British SF's, at that time, used American assault rifles with an M203 underslung grenade launcher...... they don't use our own SA-80 as it wasn't as good, simple as that!!

    • @nickellingham1764
      @nickellingham1764 26 дней назад +1

      @@gooner72 I did a bit of reading about that. I was trying to say that An 'M14 assault rifle' as the narrator says must have been a mistake, I'm fairly sure. The US stopped using them fairly early on in Vietnam and were replaced by the M16/A5-15. The M14 came in to service in the 1950s.
      I know the SA-80 was a slight disaster to begin with.
