    I've had the distinct pleasure of meeting several SAS and SBS men. I was with two friends who are Delta Force. I definitely felt like a mere mortal amongst giants. The members of the Special Forces are an exceptional breed of men. I have tremendous respect for them and the magnificent work they do. Thank you gentlemen for your service and your sacrifices!

    GHANA ARMED FORCES peacekeeping forces played a key role in protecting and bringing peace to this country. In fact, at a point all peacekeepers gave up and left the country but the Ghanaian peacekeeping force and their general commander couldn't abandoned their position and stood their grounds. Many lost their lives but they triumph in the end.
    The end of this vidoe documentary some of the peacekeepers of Ghana Armed Forces could be seen taking illegal small arms and grenades from the communities.

    It's not true that this one mission brought a decisive end to the war in Sierra Leone. That's ignoring the massive efforts of other countries that contributed troops to bring peace to Sierra Leone under the UN. The UN mission to bring peace to Sierra Leone was commanded by my compatriot General Opande. It took efforts from several players to end the war in Sierra Leone, not just 50 soldiers from the White saviors country in one mission!

      The British had nothing to gain in this fight, beyond saving their troops. They only got involved because of the sentimental attachment their then Prime Minister Tony Blair, had to Sierra Leone, which is a former British colony where his father once worked.
      So, your Proverb doesn't apply here.

    The narration on some of this is way off, the Chinook is not considered to be a "slow" helicopter by anyone that knows just a little about military helicopters.
    It is the fastest helicopter currently in use by the US military.

    • @TheMattC9999
      @TheMattC9999 14 дней назад +1

      I kind of cheated, my son had told me that after his deployments to Afghanistan and Iraq when I asked him what getting the "zoomies" was like in a Blackhawk, or Kiowa "littlebird" and was completely shocked that those big old lumbering behemoths we see overhead so often in our area were actually the fastest in the US military services.
      We live about 45 miles north of "Fort HOOD", not Fort Cavazos.
      It will always be Fort Hood to those of us who refuse for our history to be whitewashed by communists' mind games!

      perhaps due to several of utube's more nonsensical, woke and or pro-censorship policies. (similar to why creators cannot say the word grape withot the g. i have even observed the word cannabis being censored...)
      even worse, to keep costs down, their terms and conditions are commonly enforced by annoying idiocy (a.i.)
      on the plus side, these programs can be quite easy to trick.
      on the negative side, as a machine, they show an extreme lack of common sense. also, the appeals process to an incorrect assessment by a computer program can be extraordinarily frustrating.
      creators and video posters sadly need to play along because of the constant fear of "demonetization." utube often is their current job and creators are stuck as there does not yet exist a viable alternative.

      I'd imagine that's because of the dual rotors but just because it's fastest doesn't mean it's the most maneuverable especially well trying to deploy 20+ soldiers in a village in the middle of a thick African jungle

    The issue was the TheSAS WAS CONTROLLED BY SUITS IN LONDON, most of our guys where South Africa, that is where the company was based in Pretoria, we would always try to get back to Freetown to a bar called Paddy‘s bar there are some South African pilots and they were really pissed because they were given incorrect Coordinates and this village was no longer on the map.and then they had to go back and take out the correct village we were using.Russian Mil 17 helicopter armed with 72 88 mm Cannons plus a few other party tricks I don’t know where they got them from, but we used napalm or a modern equivalent to make sure the job was done properly. We could hear the comms what the Brits what they were up to and where they were They should have left the SF’S to get on with the job in hand without calling London to ask to take a dump. If one of our units had a man down and was unable to take him with us someone would euthanise him, as if they would have been taken by the rebel forces, The torture he would have to endure, I was shown videos on what they did to captured opposing forces i.e. us I won’t say what would have happened to that poor soul.
