When it comes to a toss up between tradition and safety, Safety wins Every time. The new class B fire helmets offer much better cranial protection and neck protection and have pull down face shields which can be clear, mirrored or gold coated for extended face protection and also retractable safety glasses, and neck curtains for added protection they're much more practical for use in confined spaces and road traffic collisions and are used all across the EU, and have been for several years now.
@@Zackislivid it will spear through there clothing as well they aren't fully protected from explosives no matter how much gear you have on it still can rip your legs off and those helmets look like you can't breath in them and much like a waste of money for the shield if you still have a airpack on going into a fire
@@Aviationgeek21 yes but thats not very likely, and its safer because it has 2 LED lights on the side, a mic, it fits in with breathing aparatus, it also protects better from falling bricks, because it has thermoplastic and steel in the helmats included with soft memory foam.
