I think crypto is definitely the hardest legend to master overall. Especially playing aggressively. his kit is far from an attacker kit, way harder to master. His emp strike while pushing a squad without hurting you or your teammates and utilizing his drone placement to help scan while you push, in my opinion is the hardest.
I think the fact that his drone is basically destroyed immediately is what makes him really difficult. Trying to use that thing in combat situations is pretty difficult without the ability to redirect it like Echo. When(lol) they give Mirage and Crypto that redirect ability to reposition their clone/drone without having to take control of it directly, they will become so much more fluid and capable.
Bloodhound is pretty simple but randoms scanning when you guys are trying to sneak up on a 3rd party and they scan but don’t reach anyone they just let both teams know you’re coming and you get no info on where the enemy teams are.
Keep in mind they're encouraged to do so if they see a white raven to generate ultimate, and it doesn't use up their scan as long as it doesn't hit anyone and only the white raven
In my opinion, I think Watson should be S tear but because I think her senses are very hard to micromanage and her ultimate definitely takes some skill tonight just place it down randomly
All the traditionally defensive legends are generally really hard to play, Apex favours teams that keep moving and push teams without recklessness instead of defending all day and resisting pushes.
Been playing Crypto for gun run skulltown. Ive been playing the drone above the largest buildings with ziplines that everyone usually rushes. Hardly anyone notices the drone among the chaos of gun run. Just a tip
I agree Loba is def one of the easier legends at a baseline, though I would say Lifeline is easier. There is a lot of nuance to her tactical that gets overlooked and adds a lot of outplay potential, offensive uses, and create escapes that would otherwise be impossible with another legend or inexperienced Loba. And most importantly knowing when to use it and not waste it in situations that aren't necessary, because it's very easy to throw it out thoughtlessly and could lessen your impact on the match, or straight up get you killed.
THANK YOU FOR ACKNOWLEDGING MIRAGE. He was one of my first mains when the game dropped and I've been listening to people discounting him for years. He isn't my main anymore, but he can be VERY high level, aka having up to like 6 bodies running around perfectly through buildings and up stairs. He can do so much, but it is VERY hard to get to that point. I'm just glad someone acknowledges that he can be very very good in the right hands. Anyone can send out a decoy, but can you make that decoy act like a real mirage? That's the real test.
I used grapple nonstop in titanfall 2 and kept that skill in apex with pathfinder, I think after awhile I’ve gotten kinda brain dead with the tactical in the fact that I autopilot my way through the complex move sets. Pretty fun, wish pathfinder had a passive.

id def move up wraith crypto and wattson. theres a big difference between the typical wraith/wattson and a good wraith/wattson as you typically have to think on the fly to get a lot out of there kit. With wraith's ult especially, its easily readable but if you use it creatively you can make some big brain plays, and thats what i would call a good wraith. the reason id put her up on difficulty is because how easy it is to read. now wattson is hard because she is basically limited to buildings, out in the open you may have to get very creative with pylons but even then its not going to be an easy time for ya (much like caustic except he can at least deny some area with his ult.) Crypto overall is just difficult, especially aggressively or with randoms. He requires a lot of communication to be effective, I would dare say hes the hardest to be successful with.
Newcastle's slow speed and hefty hitbox makes me struggle. I find myself getting downed before my other teammates with him essentially defeating the purpose of me filling the mobile support role for the team.
As a Watson main it’s like a 50 50 if the crypto is going to cripple my defenses I spent a entire hour setting up and make me scream/cry or spend a hour in there drone flying around the building providing literally 0 utility to his team
I remember when mad maggie came out and i thought she was useless but this season i gave her a try and i gotta say she has become one of my favorite legends to play in pubs rn! The drill is amazing and when im not playing her i always say man i wish i had maggies drill 🤣
Mirage’s decoys are much harder to use and have more layers in it than horizon for example So many times decoys just hit a rock and die. If you brainlessly throw a decoy it can very well get stuck behind a wall and be useless, but if you are smart you can use it to peek for you, or trigger traps. Mirage’s best trait is outplaying in gun fights, which i think has a lot of layers and far from simple
I'm glad you went based off of how hard they are to fully master and unlock their true potential. For instance, most people consider Wattson, Gibby, and Mirage to be extremely easy legends, and while that may be the case, they are also very challenging and difficult to master and use correctly. They're easy to pick up and learn the basics of their kit, but they're hard to become an expert at using unless you put in the time and practice. Nice list!

I was about to get Newcastle for my next legend and now I want it even more. Getting a hard legend and learning how to use them is so fun in this game. Also great list
As a my first season back in a long time (like season 2) and being a new crypto main, I get so much hate for playing him. Starting in rookie rank this split and only playing crypto, climbing to plat 2 was super easy. Even though he is super hard to use playing solo with no coms from ransoms, as long as they can listen to one ping you can win a fight. Hard to use and harder to master, still really effective.
Lifeline is always a solid pick if you don't know what to do. The revive is stupid and the health drone is also great. Stay alive and you will have value. Nothing is worse than downing someone and knowing you HAVE to push or it was all for nothing.
my top legends for difficulty are Crypto, Mirage, Gibby, New Castle and Pathy (Pathy bc of the high skill ceiling but not so much for his base difficulty like everyone else on theblist), pretty good vid all around imo, not much i disagree on tier wise but maybe a bit in order
Octanes skill ceiling is so high though cause bad octanes are really bad hurting themselves but playing octane and good octanes are almost impossible to deal with
Imo rampart while one of the easiest legends to pick up, is one of the hardest by far to use well and really dip into the highest part of the skill ceiling.
Pathfinder is the hardest because grapple has an infinite skill ceiling to the point that it completely changes the game for you. Sure you could do well with little grapple skills but if you master your grapple, man you are unstoppable and your survivability goes through the roof/ you are able to survive in heavily contested areas that much longer especially with verticality and you can clutch up some insane banner rescues. And grappling can be mastered to the point that its an art, you can do some very beautiful chaining especially with jumppads
Fuse should be higher than that. His hitbox is larger, and him having no movement capabilities on his kit makes him easier to be beamed by the enemies. Knuckle clusters is his most important ability but most fuse mains just spams this ability without thinking too much. Match1n is a great example on how to use Fuse, check him out.
I agree with that, but that doesn't mean he's not hard to use skillwise if you are only relying in his kit. His knuckle clusters despite being spammy to some are hard to hit be effective in battle if you are not good at it. Same goes with his ult. You'll see fuse mains ulting hundreds of meters away from the battle or ulting themselves and their team. But I do admit I might have interpreted the video as easy to use -> easy to master/effective which might be wrong on my part.
I’m glad that he respects the pathfinder mains that actually know how to play him! So often the rando takes pathfinder from me and has no idea what he’s doing. I always joke and say everyone’s a pathfinder main 😂 he’s a tough legend with how tall he is he absolutely gets beamed. Pathy is in my opinion the best legend in apex! He can get opening knocks, get in get out, move the team to height or across the map, he needs a passive though I always thought like bloodhound he gets more time in his alt well pathy should get his grapple back if he gets a knock or some time off the cool down, he doesn’t really have a passive.
Idk man, if we’re actually talking how hard they are to fully master I feel like octanes skill ceiling is absolutely insane, the amount of advanced movement tech you can do with that champ is insane compared to everyone else
@@migueljuarez6788 Revenant is definitely up there as well, wasn't thinking about him. I guess other people can use octane pads, but there is a lot of skill to tap strafing off them super accurately without losing any momentum. But now that I think about it, it is true that a lot of the octane movement tech like pito strafing can technically be done by other legends but it's just that Octane stim buffs them so much that it makes them worth learning.
I'ma mirage main and have been for multiple seasons I don't think he is the hardest but don't think he is the easiest thanks for making this your vidio was helpful and now I'ma play some Newcastle so piece👋
Nice list. I like where u placed most of the legends. I thought Banglore was more of a D tier legend tho. Her passive is really brainless and u don't really require the tactical or ultimate to find some succes. Also the tac is pretty brainless too.
I'd argue bangalore is one of the most complicated. All three of her abilities have multiple uses, passive can be used obviously to run away but also to stafe in 1v1s faster and make juke enemies up close, her smokes are near infinite in use cases, and her ultimate can screw her team if not played right, it's main purpose is not to kill or even push a team, it is mostly used for repositioning and angle blocking
@@tradermick7256 So ur saying her passive isn't easy to make use of? Since there is nothing brainless in her kit. I used to use her back when I was new simply because her passive was so brainless and I could just focus on gun skill, with the exception of a few critical moments where I needed to make use of her tac. Her tac is the most difficult part but even that is just simple awareness, also most bang players I meet these days know how to use her kit sooooo....
@@wibbler8251 Okay, Banglore might be one of the most difficult to Master. However her abilities can still be used effectively by a newer player. She hinders her team when used incorrectly but her abilities are pretty straightforward. Passive literally is automatic. Ult is a zone bombardment that u can understand by just using it a few times in the firing range. Her tac may require a little more skill however as long as u have some sense and use it with purpose not blindfold ur team, it can be fairly easy as well. How can she be compared to Mirage, Crypto, Horizon, valk who have much more complex abilities?
As a Mirage main, Mirage is one of the hardest legends to master. Because its all about mind gaming. And ofc if you can't trick a team your not the real Mirage, then you'll get beamed.
I use him alot over 10ks the key to mirage is i like to hit my ult then send my decoy to make it look like im fleeing they normaly chase allowing me to backshoot. The key is to always stay in the crowd. If u hit ult then try to run u absolutely will get beamed. But hes great for tons of squad wipes.
For me the hardest legend to master has to be crypto because I play with randoms and have no coordination whatsoever so when it comes down to trying and emp with em it's just so difficult to manage
I’d say crypto is actually the second hardest to play cause he’s the exact opposite of the game, so to combine those together and be effective is super hard; even for a chad mirage main myself
Amusing to note that the most difficult to master ones like Crypto and Mirage are difficult moreso because of how bad the control scheme is designed for their tacticals. If the controls were more fluid and less awkward, their difficulty and pick rates would probably change drastically.
I don’t know about Lifeline being one of the easier legends to master. I think you should take into account the abilities that a legend is without as well because you need to alter your play style as lifeline to simply stay alive. Always be near cover, know when to get out of a fight since you don’t have any movement abilities, damage abilities, or defense abilities. I’d say she’s one of the most difficult to actually win with because a good lifeline has all these skills and is reliable when the team goes down.
In my opinion it rev should be higher up. I am a bit biased but even picking him up randomly it is harder to know when to use. His silence and aim it well. The thing that I would say makes him have a higher skill ceiling and be harder to master would be cause of his giant hitbox. If I’m not wrong he has the 4th biggest in the game but no fortified which makes him probabally the easiest character in the game to kill. This means you need to use movement to your advantage but because of revs passive his wallbounce goes half the distance. You can do movement tech off of this but is all around worse then a normal wallbounce.
And the thing is you can't even really wallrun unless you're on pc since you need to tap strafe to do that. And I'm on console so I can't even do that.
Yep :( very sad. That’s why I think something like shado form for an ult rework or being able to climb on ceilings or wall run longer for a passive buff would be sick. Something like his wall run goes longer than others since his wallbounce sucks
I disagree with new castles rating and rampart is higher I’ve been playing her for a couple months now and still don’t have even a even decent understanding of how to use her kit effectively but after the new castle buffs I played 2 games with him moved to a diamond 1 game and won first try with full mastery of his kit
Rampart is the hardest, you have to learn wall placements on doors, when to use turret, when not to. When to setup, when let enemies chase you. You can superglide of of the walls, and you gotta learn to prefire that turret. How to revive, and you gotta use the sentinel so you gotta be good with snipers
Definitely disagree. Lmao crypto without his drone is just a man with a nice coat. Rampart has fast building walls and 173 round gun at her disposable and buffs on lmgs
I think the title of this video just be " ranking the legends from easiest to hardest to master " as using a legend and master a legend are different things
When you’re in drone and look at the legend banners you will see how many squads are in a 200m radius. Also in from you can respawn and scan beacons instantly :)
I think watson should be an s tier I think she takes quite a bit of skill compared to valk and vantage she has so much to her kit which requires a lot of knowledge positioning and game awareness
I think rev is a lot more difficult than you think, no mobility besides climb, a very difficult timing to get a successful ult, and you have to be good at positioning a lot bc of the large hit box, though I wouldn’t say the hardest cuz silence is very easy to land and is the one thing making him still useful rn
😂😂 luv going shopping with loba. The worst is when people don’t know how to play her and drop the store literally after and in the same city we already looted 💀🔥
I think you put Bangalore way too low. I think the difference between good and bad Bangalore's might be the widest skill gap in the game. You really need to manage her passive to be effective. Sitting behind cover when it procs and then pushing when it's on cooldown is a telltale sign of a clueless bang. You also need to have a lot of game sense and aim to use the smokes well. Smoke fighting is much harder than a gibby bubble fight. Finally, the fact that you can negatively effect your team by using her tactical and ult at the wrong time makes her a tough legend to play.
No disrespect, love the content, but this isn’t a great list. Lifeline should be a bit higher as a good player would be able to manipulate the ult loot. Revenant is probably the most difficult legend as he has a high skill ceiling, there are players who use the passive to have great movement but you don’t see every Revenant doing that cause he is very hard. Knowing when to use his abilities require a decent amount of awareness too. There are others that I do not agree with but this will become too long. No disrespect though.
I completely agree, some stuff on this list seems pretty questionable but the thing I dislike is how low rev is. He is one of the hardest if not hardest in the game
He is def close to hardest, I hate how it feels like a ton of people are still thinking it’s revtane meta and brain dead running in . Which is not at all what he is, he is very hard to master with his giant hitbox and things like that
Imo crypto and mirage are harder than path and newcastle (I picked up path when I started playing and he was the first legend I got a 1k kills with, don't think he's that hard)
I agree for the most part, but I'd say fuse is more of a B or A tier. I've seen so many bad fuses just throwing their clusters out or launching grenades. And then popping their ults mindlessly. A good fuse has situational awareness as well as good positioning.
Crypto should be number 1 mainly because his entire kit is his drone, no other legend is like Crypto. So without it then Crypto is an open target im a crypto main and find him to be very easy to use, but im more baffled by the fact that many others find him to be the most difficult
I literally got downvoted to infinity on Reddit for saying how difficult Mirage was to play effectively. People don’t understand you always have to be thinking two steps ahead with Mirage.
I just picked up Wattson and she seems fun to play. I've been looking for a main and I like Bangalore, Bloodhound, Newcastle, Vantage and Horizon. Mostly people having both movement and support capabilities.
Bro I wish more legends had a intermediate learning/skill curve that would make the game more fun overall, for me atleast. In my opinion wattson is the hardest legend to master. No offense to crypto but the effort required to make his kit work gives little payoff, in other words he's useless.
I would say drop fuse and mirage down to D tier and have Crypto be S+ tier. Other than that this list is pretty spot on! Edit: I would also move Wattson up as well! 😅
wrong , go play with mirage and watch how you get rag dolled lol. He’s very hard to play with and if you don’t know how to use decoys with will track you 99.9% of the time mirage and crypto def hardest to use. Go use mirage today when you read this for 3 hours straight and let me know. I’m sure you’ll change your mind and if you don’t you have the IQ of a worm
@@migueljuarez6788 Nope. Mirage and Fuse have been the easiest for me to play and rack up kills with. Whereas Crypto & Wattson have a huge learning curve & ceiling in order to do well. It's fine if you have a different opinion, just be polite.
Horizon actually the easiest legend. The passive is just a net buff, you don’t even need to be aware of it. Nothing about her kit teamplay is confusing, all very telegraphed The only high iq plays i’d give her are using her tac to block a door, or her ult on the outside of a building so the enemies can’t break it
The caustic part is straight cap lol C tier at best. Such a braindead character. If a teammate is down gas and revive , if you're pushing a team , gas them. If you're in trouble block doors with gas canisters.
Pathfinder tac has the highest skill ceiling ability in the game but rev should easily be way higher he has an insane skill ceiling and is very hard to play good due to his giant hitbox
I guess you haven’t seen what match1n does with fuse. Cause if you did you might have him up a level. Not having Wattson is s-tier makes this list not reliable. How many Wattsons do you see fencing in a fight? Yeah not many

@@vincee3005 every part of his kit shows u exactly where it's going to go. it's a point n click
Time to sit back and watch this amazing video!
How in the world is Valkyrie more difficult to master than Wattson. I still believe that people don't even know what wattsons kit is capable of
facts
Maining Mirage is the most macho thing you can do on apex
Idk man, if we’re actually talking how hard they are to fully master I feel like octanes skill ceiling is absolutely insane, the amount of advanced movement tech you can do with that champ is insane compared to everyone else
There's no movement tech that only Octane can do though. If you're talking movement tech, then Rev would actually be higher than Octane.
It's just amazing how he can help new players easily by just uploading one video
I totaly agree
Meat riding
I’m a Pathy main and yes I can confirm it’s really hard to play him, his grapple is all about angles
The main complexity of Bangalore is not screwing your teammates over since her abilities hinder everyone.
I think most people play her so wrong. There is nothing brainless about her kit which is pretty obvious when you play with a bad Bangalore.
My Mirage brotha
The awkward controls over his decoy don't help much either. You have to put in an extra lot of work and thought just to get it where you want it.
Mirage is just shit
I use him alot over 10ks the key to mirage is i like to hit my ult then send my decoy to make it look like im fleeing they normaly chase allowing me to backshoot. The key is to always stay in the crowd. If u hit ult then try to run u absolutely will get beamed. But hes great for tons of squad wipes.
Unrelated to the list but: crouch strafe more, you move in fights like the Apex Legend trailer Legends do.
I think Fuse is not easy to play, because You should have good aim to knuckle cluster and his ultimate is hard to use
Easy to use u use the knuckle cluster when someone is hiding behind a wall
Love the content! You should do a weapon class tier list!
My Crypto is finally S tier in a tier list kappa
Bangalore is def an A tier, here abilities have near infinite use cases
bang is piss easy to use lol
@@lookatmyfeetDBD and you’ll be the same person to smoke your own team and blind them 💀
@@DemonKingDeon it doesnt take much skill to realise this, not my fault newer players r just dumb in general.
She's difficult to win with because she's trash not because she takes a lot of skill.
I agree people definitely underestimate how difficult lifeline is and how good she is as well
I'm a loba main and I knew exactly who was gonna rank the easiest before I even clicked lol
Haha yeah...
Finally, Mirage at the top of a tier 😩
Rampart is the hardest, you have to learn wall placements on doors, when to use turret, when not to. When to setup, when let enemies chase you. You can superglide of of the walls, and you gotta learn to prefire that turret. How to revive, and you gotta use the sentinel so you gotta be good with snipers
Definitely disagree. Lmao crypto without his drone is just a man with a nice coat. Rampart has fast building walls and 173 round gun at her disposable and buffs on lmgs
Arguably loba tactical is slightly harder to use than lifeline. Hardest legends to master is definitely crypto, mirage, pathfinder and wattson
Valk can’t even clear any of the rock walls in storm point with ult feels bad can’t rotate at all
I think the title of this video just be " ranking the legends from easiest to hardest to master " as using a legend and master a legend are different things
As we outlined in the video as well
What did he mean whaen he said you can know how many squads are in the area with crypto drone?
When you’re in drone and look at the legend banners you will see how many squads are in a 200m radius. Also in from you can respawn and scan beacons instantly :)
Thank you I always wanted to know how to do that
To clarify, iirc, it's 200m from Crypto's body, not the drone's actual location.
its interesting that i really like to use horizon wattson and valk and they r in the same category.
Only useful in lower tier ranked or maybe to dick around in pubs tho
Well yeah i guess Loba is brainless at least that's what my teammates tell me when I don't drop a Black Market for them as soon as they want it.
😂😂 luv going shopping with loba. The worst is when people don’t know how to play her and drop the store literally after and in the same city we already looted 💀🔥
@@immortalxmedia 💀💀
D for loba?
I see what u did here :D
Vantage should be B, her sniper rifle is easy to use no recoil.
Space mother is easier to use but hard to master
Rev is definitely the legend that takes the most skill in my opinion. Caustic is for campers and people who are scared to fight lol.
agreed
Caustic for campers !! I think not
Love Rev 🔥😍
He is def close to hardest, I hate how it feels like a ton of people are still thinking it’s revtane meta and brain dead running in . Which is not at all what he is, he is very hard to master with his giant hitbox and things like that
I think that fuse is a really difficult legend because he has no 1v1 capability and he is kinda bad if you are playing with randoms
thanks for the input Bryan!
Or you spam grenades that do 50 shield damage when you can't leave a place
Finally put some respect on mirage mains 😅😂
Finally mirage is top tier in something
where he belongs!
I would say reworked rev is same tier
Hey guys, Loba’s at STRAIGHT D tier 😂😂
Their ain’t no way
Imo crypto and mirage are harder than path and newcastle (I picked up path when I started playing and he was the first legend I got a 1k kills with, don't think he's that hard)
Never been this early lol
I agree for the most part, but I'd say fuse is more of a B or A tier. I've seen so many bad fuses just throwing their clusters out or launching grenades. And then popping their ults mindlessly. A good fuse has situational awareness as well as good positioning.
Crypto should be number 1 mainly because his entire kit is his drone, no other legend is like Crypto. So without it then Crypto is an open target
im a crypto main and find him to be very easy to use, but im more baffled by the fact that many others find him to be the most difficult
Pick up lifeline. It’s so satisfying rolling higher tier legends as her and it’s nice being the anchor of a team. BH and Bang are also a good comp.
Bro I wish more legends had a intermediate learning/skill curve that would make the game more fun overall, for me atleast. In my opinion wattson is the hardest legend to master. No offense to crypto but the effort required to make his kit work gives little payoff, in other words he's useless.
I agree with everything except horizon lol, she's rather easy to master imo.
fuse should be a+ in my opinion, but thats not what the vid is about:)
gibby is harder than crypto?
How is ur Quality so good.....?
Nothing really special, just playing on an xbox
@@TimProVision Makes sense....it's really good, keep it up
I would say drop fuse and mirage down to D tier and have Crypto be S+ tier.
Is this a troll?
@@migueljuarez6788 Nope. Mirage and Fuse have been the easiest for me to play and rack up kills with. Whereas Crypto & Wattson have a huge learning curve & ceiling in order to do well. It's fine if you have a different opinion, just be polite.
Horizon actually the easiest legend. The passive is just a net buff, you don’t even need to be aware of it. Nothing about her kit teamplay is confusing, all very telegraphed
The only high iq plays i’d give her are using her tac to block a door, or her ult on the outside of a building so the enemies can’t break it
Wait did you mention wattson
nice
*Cries in Mirage main*
Man pathfinder should be A
The caustic part is straight cap lol C tier at best. Such a braindead character. If a teammate is down gas and revive , if you're pushing a team , gas them. If you're in trouble block doors with gas canisters.
True but his gas isn't punishing anymore so pushing a caustic isn't the worst
Wait wait so ur telling me rev easier to use then pathy!?!
Yeah not many
This isn't about X player being good with X legend lol. Completely not the point of the list
