- Recurve women's individual semifinal match between An San of Korea and Casey Kaufhold of USA at the 2021 Hyundai World Archery Championships in Yankton, USA. Recurve archers shoot at a target 70 metres away, 122cm in diameter and the central 10-ring measures just 12.2 centimetres in diameter (about the size of a DVD).

Great shooting by Casey Kaufhold. Well deserved win. Also love how respectful An San is, shaking hands after her defeat. Looked her in the eyes and bowing, the same as when she wins. Some people aren't as generous in their defeat as that.

Historically when one beats a Korean archer, he will be defeated by another Korean archer in the next match, only Lei Chien Ying can pass the two Koreans I know so far.
In the 2019 Asian Championship, Ansan was defeated by Zheng Yichai and Lee Eun Gyeoung was defeated by Cao Hui, but they were both defeated by Kang Chae Young

An San was quite troubled at 4th set, and then lost the match. However, she did her best at the very next match - winning bronze medal.^^

I know nothing of archery at this level, I just like to watch, But I noticed there is a clamp or holder on the arrow that seems to click against the bow just as the arrow is launched, What is that thing? and how does it know the archer is about to let the arrow loose?
it is Clicker, to maintain the same draw length everytime you want to shoot

No. An San took some heat at home for her short haircut since that's not common in Korea. She's possibly the best archer I've seen and lost only one match that year - including winning Olympic Women's individual, Mixed Team and Women's Team golds as well.
No, I'm pretty sure Casey Kaufold is a girl.
I guess Koreans aren't invincible in archery after all. That Korean ant needs to learn that it's futile to go up against the mighty USA💪💪
