I had an isuzu dmax 2.5 for 6 years from new and loved it. Had the 1.9 for 4 months and hate the thing, useless engine for towing, drinks fuel due to needing revs. Terrible flat spot before 2000rpm due to emissions, feels like a dragging brake then releases. I could go on. I'm going to sell and get a 3litre grafter, not a chance in hell would I touch the 1.9......

1:25 no. Buyers of small trucks don't want it to be like a conventional van, ifs, now it will break, like a Transit or sprinter does when over laden off road, which is how these trucks will be used.

This guy doesn't know what he's talking about. The old 3L engine put out 150 bhp, not 125. The old suspension was tried, proven and tough. This is essentially a van, not what anybody wants when it comes to reliability. You can tell this guy is coming from a world of Ford Transits rather than proper commercials.

So the engine has basically been changed to a car engine. Won't last 5 minutes with builders

Vw and mercs use car engines in their vans and older things like the last ldvs used the same engines as the london black cabs. Long as the gearings right its not an issue
